Spacious newer 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage, 2 blocks from beach, many amenities
About Betsy Enloe
I'm also in OP during the summer, so am available if there are any issues or you need to know where the best clam chowder is sold ! I've been an owner, with my husband, of my own cottage since 1985, and am now pleased to take care of my mother's cottage, named "Captain's Haven" by her because of the wonderful picture of a Sea Captain hanging in the living room. It's been her special get-away for many years. We hope it can be the same for your family. My son spent all his summers in OP and although now he's in college, he still has life-long friends he made as a little boy. We love this place and know you will too!
Betsy Enloe purchased this House in 2007
Why Betsy Enloe chose Ocean Park
It's fresh, clean, airy, with many extra-large windows. It's close to the Ocean, the town center and down Grand Avenue the OOB Pier. The scenic marsh is a few blocks over, visible from the front patio. The amenities are great ! If you've ever rented an older cottage with no dish-washer you understand how nice it is to have the best of both worlds - all the tradition of Ocean Park, but without the downside. Cable, phone, WIFI included - no fear of a rainy day!
Check-in: 2:00 PM
Check-out: 10:00 AM
Minimum age of primary renter:21
This is a traditional Maine Cottage Rental - I will send you a "rules of the house" document to review once you've made an inquiry. No smoking or pets. You'll need to bring your own linens and towels. You can use anything in the house, but it must be put back, everything ready for the next guest. The is an option to 'opt out' of the cleaning fee for folks who will take that task on before they leave - there are supplies and a check-list. You'll need to take garbage to the curb and return the bins to their storage place. Treat things as you'd treat your own home.
Canceled bookings will not receive a refund
The property was exactly as pictured. Lots of kitchen supplies. Short walk to the beach. Beautiful yard for relaxing
Thanks for the good words! Hope to see you again -
We had a wonderful stay at this house. It was exactly as listed and the owner was very helpful when we needed something. The location was perfect for our family. Spacious and very clean.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback! We look forward to seeing you again next year!
Everything as promised.
The land lady is top notch to work with.
Thank you! Please visit again!
Ocean Park, Maine is one-of-a-kind. Cottages with porches hug the sidewalks and invite visitors to stop and chat. People will greet you as you stroll to the center of town for an ice cream from the Soda Fountain or Cinnamon bun and coffee from OP Subs and Groceries. Maybe a Tennis Match ? or Children's hour at the historic OP library in the town square.... or maybe participation in the July 4th Parade or Illumination night events???
Ocean Park is all about extended families and many of the homes and cottages have been owned by the same family for over a hundred years. You'll make forever friends and want to return every summer. This unique seaside "Chautauqua" community was founded in 1881 and still flourishes as a summer assembly—in the Chautauqua tradition—with 135 years of history and heritage. Each summer lectures, workshops, family programs, and opportunities are offered by the Association - Every day of the week there are activities suited to every interest and age.
The seven mile beach on Saco Bay and the surrounding marsh and forest land are national treasures, along with historic buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Everything a family needs for fun and relaxation!
