Why Patrick Pecorilli chose Southwest
St-Henri is home to some of the most beautiful old buildings in Montreal, giving this borough a real historical charm. One of the nicest buildings is Fire Station 23 - an old-school, art-deco-style fire station, which is also the home to the borough’s heritage office. If you want to check it out, it’s right by the Place St-Henri Metro station. Looking for a quiet way to spend the afternoon? Grab the dog and walk down to the Lachine Canal. It’s beautiful, and also has one of the most scenic bike paths in the city which can get you all the way to old Montreal. For a little R and R on a Sunday afternoon, I'd argue The Lachine Canal is superior in every way. St-Henri is only minutes away (by foot) from the Atwater Market. A superb farmers market where you can pick up: choice cuts from the butcher, fresh produce, fish, wine and spirits and more. It's all a little pricey but you get what you paid for. Heck, even if you don’t want to buy anything, you can spend an afternoon people-watching as they come from all over to hit the Atwater Market. The Atwater Market is also close to the Lachine Canal, making it the ideal place to pick up picnic supplies. St-Henri’s nightlife is part of its charm with cool spots like Bar De Courcelle, not to mention the fact that it’s also only a few minutes away from places like Burgundy Lion, La Drinkerie and more. What’s even more impressive is the selection of up-and-coming restaurants, like Sumac (middle-eastern cuisine), Rustique (bakery) and my personal favourite, Grumman'78 for to-die-for street food with a twist.

Great location bummer on construction
Patrick was extremely accessible. Apartment worked out great for my family gave us space and nice having a kitchen and laundry. Bummer that I didn’t pay attention to additional instructions about construction in area and took a bit to figure out how to get to parking but once figured it out it was very easy to return. Cafe joes across street was yummy and friendly. Atwater market and canal was easy to walk to and downtown was very short ride. Great trip! Just bummer about all of the construction and bit of noise.
Great apartment in Saint-Henri
My family of four stayed in this apartment for a couple of nights, and found it to be clean, furnished well, comfortable and well-located. Communication with the property manager was very prompt and thorough. On-site parking was a plus. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Montreal and be close to downtown and the old port.
Great time in Montreal!!
We had a wonderful time at this property. Communication with the owner was easy. The street outside is on a detour and was a bit noisy. We bought a fan to hide some of the noise. It was VERY hot when we were visiting and were thrilled with the air conditioner. We didn’t walk around the neighborhood much because we were traveling with my 80 year old mother and it was hot. We did have Uber drivers tell us it was a good location although we didn’t do much exploring of the area. It was easy to get Uber drivers right out the front door. Parking in the back was a breeze, as well.
What a find!
Wonderful communication from Patrick, the owner, from the start to finish.
A restored building with historical charm and modern hotel style amenities
You really can’t find a more spacious, well kept and conveniently located home for the price.
Main bedroom faces street and there is some noise into the later evening, but a fan for white noise solves that easily.
I highly recommend this St. Henri home.
overall, very good stay
Patrick's place is quite large and has 3 good sized bed rooms, and ample common areas. It also is newly renovated, with a good stove and fridge. And his washer/dryer is better than what we have at home!
We were a bit put off by the area. Westmount is very interesting, and there are several great places within walking distance--- Joe's coffee right across the street, the bakery just a bit further up the street, Atwater Market (which is amazing) and a small bagel shop further up Rue St. Antoine (also great). And the apartment is within relatively easy walking distance of the metro.
We had trouble with the noise and congestion. Just by way of background, we are originally city/suburb people but for the past 6 years have been living in semi-rural Vermont, so maybe noise bothers us more than it does most people. But Rue St. Antoine is really crowded and loud, even late at night. And the road construction up the street only added to the noise and traffic.
If you can live with that, you will like Patrick's place. And Patrick himself is on top of things, easy to communicate with.
Loved the renovated feel. The owner is very accommodating and quick to respond!
