Guestbook comments from the owner

We come to the mountains every year but this was our first time to try staying in a cabin rather than a motel, and we’re we glad we did. The cabin was fantastic in so many ways for our traveling troupe of seasoned citizens, even though we did have to navigate the three levels. The kitchen was perfect for us, preparing meals together and congregating at the large dining table in the great room to eat. And all of this took place where we could take in one of the most majestic of mountain views through floor to ceiling windows. We had a closer look off the covered porch where there were rockers for all and a grill for our cookout. The bedrooms, separated by living areas and a game room, all had comfortable king beds and private bathrooms, perfect for couples traveling together. We usually visit Gatlinburg every other year or two and we certainly hope “The View” is available, we’ve been spoiled!

Our Experience

  • 2 of 5

The house was okay but not what we expected. The dryer start switch was broken, causing a problem doing laundry. I shared a few other concerns with the management company and they assured me they would improve.

The area is beautiful!!! I recommend finding a way to see these mountains and the Gatlinburg area!

Thanksgiving with the family

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed the cabin and the time we spent with our families. VRBO sent us the wrong address, so it was a challenging figuring out where to go at first. It was discouraging that we had to haul the trash up the road to dispose of it, in our own vehicles. There were no dumpsters or critter proof containers on site. There were also many light bulbs out throughout the house. Some smoke detectors were disconnected or the batteries had been removed. Some of the electrical outlets did not work in the living room. There were 7 chairs at a table that seats 10 and those didn't all match. It's a nice cabin, but the owner needs to put a little more effort into making it a nicer place to stay.

My family really enjoyed our stay. The staff was great, friendly and answered all of our weird questions. We will definitely be returning!

Nice cabin but very outdated, no blankets on bed, needs mattess. Old tvs! Could be a very nice if owner would invest some money into updating. Coffee pot was nasty had to wash it upon arrival before our guest came.
