Perfect cabin to enjoy a weekend.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the cabin for the weekend and it was absolutely wonderful! I was very happy that everything was in close rage. It was fully Stocked in the kitchen with everything you needed to make meals. This cabin is the perfect place to take your family for a getaway.

Thank you so much for the hospitality

Once we were able to get in. Brian's place was nice! It took us about a day and half to figure out the tv. Instructions would have been nice, also batteries in the remotes! My overall impression was good. The inside of the house was clean. The kitchen was perfect size for myself. I wish there would have been more to work with. It was bare bones as far as cooking tools, just the basics. The bedrooms were nice. Beds comfy. Bathrooms nice. The downstairs bathroom, much nicer than the upper level. The upstairs shower was too short and this comes from a short person. The weather was beautiful. We didn't have any trouble with any bugs or pests! The neighbors were friendly. Easy to find. I would definitely love to go back to Big Bear, maybe when there is more snow. Although, we had a hard time getting a response the first 4 times, it was a beautiful weekend, Bryan did refund part of our check on day. Thank you, that was appreciated.

Great cozy stay.

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time. The place had everything needed, as we cooked, BBQ'd all meals at the cabin, very adequate kitchen and cooking materials. Owner responded nearly immediately to any and all requests. This cozy cabin made our first snow trip awesome. We had good snow around the place to play in.

Just to have a well rounded review, I will say that it is a little dark inside and it is a slightly difficulty entry down stairs from the driveway. Other than that, I would highly recommend.

We want to thank the owners for their service.

We headed up to Big Bear with a other couple on a last minute get away. The owner was super responsive, made a few very helpful recommendations for dining and things to do. The cabin was exactly as described, clean cozy and quiet.

Cozy for 4 not necessarily 5

  • 3 of 5

I will start by saying the view is great from this place and the owner was very nice and quick to respond to questions. The downstairs seems to be fairly recently updated and looked nice. Although there was a drip in the faucet of the bathroom downstairs and I think the cleaning crew plugged the drain. Luckily we arrived and saw the drip and plugged drain and simply unplugged the drain because the water was inches away from starting to spill onto the bathroom floor.

We had a party of 5 go to this cabin over the Labor Day weekend. To get to the point we felt the accommodations were a bit paltry and over-stated compared to the description on the site. You can't really fit more than 4 people because the fold out bed in the upstairs living room has a mattress that is probably the worst mattress I've ever laid on! Literally springs poking you when you laid on it. Not to mention there was a fine grained "sand" all over the sheets which just made it gross. My kids had to swap who would sleep on it (we were there for two nights) because it was so bad.

Lastly, we just had this general feeling that what was supplied for renters was just the least amount possible: minimal kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc were supplied. The BBQ out on the deck is literally falling apart. Broken knobs, cracked, broken lid. Only two, count em, two deck chairs, for two full decks at a place that is supposed to hold 7 people. No wifi. Small, very dated TV with a non-HD picture that was difficult to view at times. The site mentions the luxurious fireplace in the downstairs bedroom, but doesn't mention that it's turned off in the Summer. Not a huge deal but a bit disappointing. The appearance of the home in general was not really high end at all - which is totally fine. Just be forewarned that this is not a luxury rental by any stretch.
