This lovely house is nicely furnished, with all the comforts of home. Part of a 4.92 acre farm, the barn, buildings, and location, will make you feel far away from the hectic pace of city life. Take in the beautiful Cascade mountains and valley views. On chilly days, relax with a cup of cocoa and a good book by the gas fireplace. About Traci Merwin

We met in 1980 and dated five years before marrying. Since then we have worked hard, raised a family, and thanked God every day for all the blessings we have had. We love living in this wonderful town in this beautiful state. The locals are friendly, take pride in their town and the children being raised here. We hope you will enjoy your visit and return to see us again.

Traci Merwin purchased this house in 1987

Why Traci Merwin chose Snohomish

My husband grew up here in Snohomish. We moved back to find a home to raise a family. When we purchased this property it was from the original owners; an elderly couple who had lived here for 30 years. We fell in love with the property, the view, and the country setting. The home and buildings needed a lot of work, but we have worked lovingly on it ever since.

What makes this house unique

When we were shopping for a home here in Snohomish, we looked at a lot of houses. We knew when we saw this place that we wanted it. We moved mountains to make it happen. The sunrise or moonrise over the mountain still takes our breath away. Great neighbors, great town, easy to get everywhere from here. I would live nowhere else.

Relaxing & Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

Snohomish County is beautiful and this gem of a VRBO fits right in! We arrived very late from Texas, so the muffins, fruit and orange juice provided for us were very much appreciated on the morning after arrival. The home is well kept and very clean. The beds are super comfortable. I really enjoyed the separate dressing area in the Master Suite and was pleasantly surprised there was a 10x lighted makeup mirror in the area, which I need. The laundry room is huge and convenient. We enjoyed the back patio furniture and sun umbrella one afternoon and the seating and gas fire pit one evening. The grounds are very nice with beautiful flowers. A small front came through on our last evening and cleared the fog from the mountains and provided a great view of the Cascades. You just have to experience it yourself to know the beauty. The owner and her husband were very hospitable and friendly and we would love to visit the Seattle/Snohomish area again. Three days was just not enough. Thanks Traci & Ken for a memorable stay.

This home is well appointed with all you'll need for either a short or extended stay. We stayed for a month and enjoyed it. The owners are very friendly and helpful if you experience any issues...which we did not. If you are intending to come to this area, this home is a nice place to stay and relax.

A lovely stay

  • 4 of 5

We appreciated the warmth of welcome. The gas fireplace was lit and generous food awaited us for breakfast, but we enjoyed some that evening: tasty fruit, juice, muffins. Pots and pans are in fine condition and dishes are ample. Even a blender. This was one of the better equipped places we have stayed.

The house was a lovely place to host a family dinner and grandgirls enjoyed meeting the cows! Nearby Lord Hill Park was fine for a family hike.

Traci kindly came over after 8 pm to get the wifi started. Due to high winds there was no internet the first night, but it returned late the next morning and there was no further problem. There is some road noise evident in the bedroom, but not as evident in the living/dining area with conversation and music on. My husband actually enjoyed the "white noise". On the weekend it was less.

The views here are magnificent. Lovely to see the fog rise and the mountains emerge. Thank you for a lovely stay, Traci, and for being so responsive. We enjoyed meeting you and your husband!

Fantastic morning sunrises over the Cascades and great location for exploring Snohomish County

  • 5 of 5

The property was well kept and in an excellent location to access Snohomish, Monroe, and the greater Seattle area. The morning sunrises, visible from the living room while drinking coffee by the fire, were unbeatable. Thank you Traci for the fantastic hospitality you showed us!
