Property type studio
Minimum Stay 4 nights

About the property

Studio, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 3)

Charming and centrally located apartment with Rustic Wooden Beams.

This studio is perfectly located in the very center of the Latin Quarter & located around 10 minutes from Notre Dame. The property itself is unique. From the street, an impressive castle like wooden door opens garden like courtyard. The building is made out of stone. It is surrounded with greeneries and artists studios. The stairs leading to the top of the main building are old stone and very wide. The hand rail itself is a piece of art.

While the area is very animated, the immediate surroundings of the building are very calm and quiet. The location is perfect for shopping, sightseeing, food or entertainment in the centre of Paris.

Subway Maubert-Mutualité is around 3 min. walking distance.

The apartment is simply decorated and the wooden beams add to the charm and give it a rustic look.

The 24 m² apartment may accommodates 3 guests for a short time or 2 for a longer stay. It is on the 4th floor (French standard) of a nice stone building. The building has an elevator and a very beautiful courtyard.

The apartment is well ventilated and lit thanks to the two large windows. The space is well organized into 2 principal areas, the living room cum bedroom and the kitchen cum dining room.

The apartment offers :

• A lounge area with a comfortable sofa, a television and a stereo system

• A well equipped kitchen with all required for cooking.

• A dining area that comfortably seats 3.

The lounge area gets converted into the bedroom by night. It has an individual single bed and the sofa opens up into a double bed (the sofa is brand new, changed in 2013).

The tiled bathroom offers a bath tub, a closed shower, a sink and a toilet.

The apt location is a perfect base to visit Paris : based in the heart of the old Paris, facing Notre Dame and the trendy Ile saint Louis with, at walking distance, the Marais where are the best clothes shops of Paris. The Sorbonne University, the famous Jardin des Plantes, the Pantheon, the arenes de Lutece, Luxembourg garden and the Cluny Museum of Medieval arts are all steps away. Cross the street and stroll along the banks of the Seine, enjoy a drink on one of the many barges or dance Tango in the “Tino Rossi” square in summer evening time.

It stays 10 minute by subway to most interesting Paris locations AND is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.

In case you need assistance we are staying minutes from the apartment.

As a bonus, Phone calls to land lines in France, and to US, Canada and Australia are generally free. It is also true for more than 50 countries. Moreover, calls to cell phones towards specific countries (often US & Canada) may also be free. Ask us for detail as it may vary with time and policies of operators.

Montagne apartment

  • 4 of 5

Since I have stayed at the Montagne apartment for four consecutive years, each time for a 2-3 week period, that should speak as an endorsement. The location is ideal, near public transportation and shopping, and within walking distance of Notre-Dame and the Luxembourg Gardens.

The neighborhood is generally quiet and the inner courtyard adds a nice touch of greenery. The studio apartment is on the top floor with a sunny exposure and a view of the dome of the Pantheon. The small space is utilized well, equipped for minimal cooking, and quite comfortable.

Because the building is old, dating back to the 17th century, I have encountered an occasional minor plumbing or electrical problem. However, the agency has always done its best to resolve the issue promptly and efficiently. In fact, In Beau Paris is by far the most congenial and professional of the agencies I have rented from over the years, and I recommend them highly.

Wonderful apartment in a great neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in this apartment couldn't have been better. It is a beautiful small flat in a great area of Paris. The Pantheon is right out your window! Getting into the apartment was no trouble, and we loved the tiny elevator and the wonderful old staircase. The three of us (two adults and one college student) enjoyed the space which, though small, worked well for us. We bought some groceries at the Monoprix nearby and had coffee in the apartment every morning. The bed was super comfy, and we got our deposit back quickly. The apartment is near a busy touristy area, but the street is pretty and laid-back--mostly locals. Great crepes and falafel right around the corner, too.

Great Experience

  • 5 of 5

We loved the old world charm of this apartment complex. Upon arrival we had no trouble getting in the main entrance with the key pad and we had no trouble locating the keys. The apartment is a good size for 2-3 people. The furnishings were adequate and comfortable. The WiFi worked very well. The bathroom and kitchen are a little tight but typical of a small European apartment. It still had a good bit more space than many of the European hotels I've stayed in and for the price and location you can't beat it. We had no noise issues and in fact rarely ever saw any other tenants coming and going.

The apartment is not 5 minutes walk to Rue Mouffetard where many restaurants, bars, shops, and grocery stores can be found. Its also an easy .3 mile walk to Notre-Dame. The nearest Metro station is .17 miles. We loved the location because we felt that it was pretty much in the middle of everything. We would generally always start our day by walking and of course had to stop by one of several bakeries that were within a 2-3 minute walk of the apartment. Finding breakfast was easy, the baked goods delicious, and the prices very reasonable. The apartment has no laundry but the laundromat is just one block down so no trouble and we only had to do laundry one time. There is also a small market near the metro and want to say that it was up and running either Tuesday or Wednesday or both. For a change we stopped by a couple of shops right at the corner and picked up a baguette, some excellent butter, wine, a couple of small rotisserie chickens and ate in the apartment. It was great!

We got a kick out of the elevator. It was the smallest elevator we'd ever seen and I'm not in the least bit complaining. I'm sure it's not untypical of most older Paris apartments. Just anticipate it taking you a couple of trips up the elevator depending on the amount and size of your luggage. It will fit your thinnest traveler and a couple of bags.

Keep in mind that a taxi to the Gare Du Nord train station should cost no more than 20 Euros from this location and there is an easy train ride from there to Charles De Gaulle Airport. If coming from Gare Du Nord do not jump in just any cab. If a cab driver seeks you out, they are trying to scam you. Use a known company like G7 or Taxi Bleu or at least a well marked cab.

I've been around Europe a lot but have never rented an apartment and I was hesitant but what a great experience! Jean-Noel made it easy.

Great Stay in Paris

  • 5 of 5

This property was small but unique in a great area of Paris. The flat was just right for my wife and I. We loved being in the Latin Quarter with so many things being within walking distance. A truly beautiful area. The bed in the couch was quite comfortable. The kitchen is tiny but adequate. The view out the window is the top of the Pantheon - amazing! Jean-Noel was great to work with and our deposit was refunded quickly. This is not a luxury apartment but we were very happy with the reasonable cost and we had a great stay in Paris.

Live With the Locals

  • 5 of 5

We rented for 7 nights. Loved the location and this unique apartment building. It was beyond our expectations. The large castle like oak door that opens into a stone path courtyard was our welcome 'home' each time we needed a break from walking all over Paris. The old charm winding stairs up 4 1/2 floors were actually a highlight for us even though we could have taken the small elevator. The host was good communicator with good directions, fast refund of deposit, plus he was just a phone call away if we needed anything. This non-touristy location couldn't be better. The apartment itself overlooks the Pantheon dome. 10 minutes from Seine and Notre Dame. Close to metro, close to Luxembourg Gardens, close to the narrow bustling streets of the Latin Quarter. The Market sets up at least 3 times a week and is just down the street. When we return to Paris, we would choose this apartment in a heartbeat. Added note about sofa bed - extremely easy to pull out and quite comfortable.

Our Stay in Paris

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location of this apartment. It was great to be in a neighborhood that wasn't touristy and was a short walk to the metro. The apartment allows you to live a more normal life experience. Everything worked great. Directions on how to do everything were impeccable. The view out of the window is of the dome of the pantheon. Incredibly charming. Elevator worked well if you are tired at the end of the day of walking all over Paris. I would highly recommend this apartment. When I come back to Paris, I plan on renting it again. Staff at rental agency were very nice and helpful. Old world ambience of the apartment and the building. Swift return of the deposit.
