Highly recommended

We really enjoyed this rental. My 83yo mother rented it for a family vacation. There was plenty of room for everyone to gather together or have their own space. We had 13-17 people there each day. We really like that the hot tub was really hot and there were kayaks available for our use. Scott was very responsive to our needs. We rent a different place each year. This was the best thus far. The only complaint from my relatives were they weren't catching hardly any fish and at night the mosquitos were really bad. The lake was nice for swimming and kayaking. We brought a pontoon and took it along the river to Lake Michigan a handful of times. Be sure to check the wave heights if you plan on doing this. Scott pretty much had all of our needs covered. I would definitely rent here again!

Vacation at it's best!

  • 5 of 5

This was my families second time renting this house. Our 93 years young dad is still taking his kids on vacation!

As we are all adults, we love the lake here, spending hours floating on rafts or kayaking around the area. This location allows bike riders to ride for hours and is a short trip into Saugatuck/Douglas, for fun shopping and great restaurants. A favorite "field trip" is checking out the local breweries in Grand Rapids and Holland. Of course the Saugatuck brewery is visited often during the week!

The house offers a lot of space for all of us. Plenty of privacy with the 6 bedrooms, and the bunk room allows for more sleeping options. We enjoy the deck for peaceful times reading, visiting with one another, or watching the "fun" happen out in the lake. The large dining area allows plenty of room for the 12 of us to have dinner together, every night.

We'll be back next year, and can't wait!

Spacious house with beautiful view

  • 4 of 5

The house is huge enough space for the 18 of us, 9 adults and 9 kids. Most disappointing part of our stay was there's no beach. The beach pictured is gone. The water has risen to the retaining wall. We have 9 kids ages 2-10 and all they wanted to do was play in the sand. The kayaks, canoes and paddle boat provided the kids did have a blast using. The photos most definitely need to be updated. The house could use some updating also. The rooms all have queens beds that were springy and uncomfortable. Just our personal preference when you go on vacation you want the bed you're sleeping in to be the same as your own or at least an upgrade, not a down grade. None of the rooms have TVs and the 2 TVs in the house run on the same connection so whatever's on upstairs is on downstairs. The kitchen is very well stocked but everything we used was dirty and needed to be rewashed, could use a few new utensils like a can opener and spatulas. Scott was very responsive to the issues we had and handled them immediately. Overall there was plenty of space and the view was beautiful.

So much to do on at this Saugatuck getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I surprised both of our family's with a mini vacation to this beautiful home. Needless to say, this place was a hit! The photos don't do this place justice! We had 8 adults, 4 kids, and an infant on this trip. Everyone had a blast! There's PLENTY of space to relax, be together as a family, or simply get away to a different part of the house/property. Scott and Patrick have done an excellent job providing this home with plenty of activities, including a foosball table, pool table, 12 bikes of varying sizes/ages to use, basketball hoop, football, horseshoes, kayaks, canoes, paddle boat, beautiful fire pit space, and a beautiful view! Did I mention how much SPACE this place offered?! If you wanted to leave, you're only 5 mins away from downtown Saugutuck. Great location! The only negative we had about our stay was the AC unit. It was pretty warm when we arrived. We turned on the AC, which caused a leak to happen in the basement. We immediately called Patrick and he was there under 5 minutes! We had to turn off the AC for the night which was no big deal as the temps lowered. The next day, we attempted to turn on the AC again as it was much warmer the next day but the leaking started again. Therefore, I'd recommend bringing some fans if you don't sleep well warm. The basement was very cool though! From booking our stay till we left, Patrick and Scott have been very easy to work with. We are grateful for a lovely place to enjoy with our loved ones. We will definitely be back!
