Overview

About the property

Victorian Farm House

This is an old farmhouse, built in 1903, from rough sawed yellow pine harvested right here in the Ozarks. The Maple Tree Inn is located at highways 19 and 106; within walking distance to dining, shopping or evening entertainment and 200 yards from the Jacks Fork River. This house has five bedrooms. A large kitchen, dining room, large living room and utility room next to the kitchen with a washer and dryer available. The kitchen has two stoves, refrigerator, ice maker and dishwasher. Each bedroom room has a restroom with a shower. One bathroom has a bathtub which is handy for children. There is an outside restroom with a shower located on the back deck.

This is a fine location to base your Eminence Vacation: floating the Current or Jacks Fork Rivers, exploring the Lower Ozarks, viewing Missouri's wild elk, seeking a glimpse of Missouri's wild horses or visiting the trail rides. We have found it to be a very pleasant place to make wonderful memories.

Harvey’s canoe/raft rentals will pick up and drop off at the inn. All you need is a cooler with beverages, swim suit, sun screen and some free time. Evenings are usually spent on the back porch and hanging around the fire pit. The decks are very spacious for families. Little children especially enjoy playing on the decks! There are citronella oil lamps for the decks which make the atmosphere cozy. The yard is enclosed with a tall privacy fence for safety and comfort.

We provide all linens for your stay. The kitchen is equipped with pots and pans, place settings and silverware for 12 along with drinking glasses and coffee cups. There is a coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, and all the utensils needed for preparing meals.

We also offer special discounts to church sponsored groups led by official, church staff: youth, staff retreats, women's or men's retreats. Please call for code to enter Inn.

Why Clint Dalbom chose Eminence

You cant drive through Eminence without driving past the Maple Tree Inn. With the large Elk Statue in the front yard, a sidewalk that leads along highway 19 to the Jacks Fork River and walking distance to downtown, this place is in the center of everything here.

What makes this house unique

This is a very beautiful part of the world. There are plants, animals and natural features that exist nowhere else in the world. The Lower Ozarks area is fortunate to have vast expanses of public land. Wildlife abounds here, and places to hunt and fish seem almost endless. The National Geographic has done features on this area and The Nature Conservancy has declared it as "One of the Last Great Places". Throw in several bands of Missouri Wild Horses, the range of Missouri's only herd of wild free ranging elk, an occasional bear or mountain lion, and two or three pristine Ozark Rivers, we just about have something for everyone!

Great place for a large group

  • 4 of 5

The house was as advertised in the promo. It was clean, roomy, well-maintained and well-appointed. Great deck, spacious kitchen with two range-oven units and a commercial ice maker. Window air-conditioners in bedrooms to boost the central air were well appreciated. Only downside was the location at the intersection of two busy highways -- traffic noise late into the night and early morning. Kind of surprising for such a small town. All in all, our group of 17 really enjoyed our stay.

This property is very well kept and so comfortable for large group. Each bedroom is very unique and clean. Deck was great for children to play on and so close to everything you might need. Washer and dryer was very handy since we had small kids!

Great place for Thanksgiving!

  • 5 of 5

The Inn was perfect for our group of 11. The house was nice and clean. The kitchen was great for cooking, we especially loved the big island as we had plenty of room while we made all the different dishes for Thanksgiving. The living room is very nice with a large TV and the dining room was perfect. We used individual tables for playing games, but were able to put them all together for Thanksgiving dinner. The bedrooms were also large and having your own bathroom was wonderful. We had a great dinner at a nearby Mexican restaurant and we enjoyed walking to the grocery store and the Ozark Mountain Emporium. Everyone in town was very friendly. Only one comment, the pictures show two stove/ovens, but there is only one. The stove does have 5 burners! This didn't affect our trip and we had no problem making our Thanksgiving dinner with one stove. Clint was also very responsive to all our questions. It really is a neat inn with lots of porches, a pretty staircase, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, a great washer and dryer and lots of character!! A very fun place to spend a holiday!

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful house to stay in while enjoying all the beauty of southern Missouri. It's location is great - central to a lot of crystal clear rivers which we kayaked on for several days. We also got to see the nearby ELK and hiked to many of the springs. The house itself is roomy, clean, easy to use and has a great kitchen. Eating out back on the deck by the pool was the icing on the cake. I highly recommend this place to stay.
