This is an old farmhouse, built in 1903, from rough sawed yellow pine harvested right here in the Ozark Hills. The town of Eminence has built up around the Maple Tree Inn and highways 19 and 106 that junction right out front have taken land that once was the yard. Located in the center of everything within walking distance to dining, shopping or evening entertainment. Just 200 yards from the Jacks Fork River. This house has five bedrooms, one is downstairs, each with its own restroom. The Bunkhouse Room is set up with bunk beds, ideal for the kids. A large kitchen, dining room, large living room and utility room next to the kitchen with a washer and dryer available. Each room has restroom with a shower, another restroom with a shower is located with an outside entrance from the deck and pool. The decks surround the house and pool. This is a fine location to base your Eminence Vacation, whether you are floating the Current or Jacks Fork Rivers, exploring the Lower Ozarks, viewing Missouri's wild elk, seeking a glimpse of Missouri's wild horses or visiting the trail rides, this is the place for you.
The house was built during the timber boom in Eminence and has served as a doctors residence, funeral home, boarding house and for a short time a restaurant. Many stories are told in this area about happenings in and around the Old Inn. We have found it to be a very pleasant place to be and located in the center of everything Eminence has to offer.
Two canoe liveries commonly pick up right here at the front door. All they need is a pickup time and how many canoes to provide. All you need is a cooler with beverages, swim suit, sun screen and some free time. Evenings are usually spent grilling on the back porch and hanging around the fire pit.
***The fall is a lovely time to reserve the Inn. There are several trail rides, haunting in the hills and a large craft festival in October. The Inn would be ideal for hunters as well.
