A peaceful stay with a great view of the Grand Tetons and a front row seat for the total eclipse

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at this cabin was amazingly restorative. The cabin was beautiful, well designed and well stocked. Sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the porch watching the birds, squirrels, chipmunks and dragon flies frolicking around the green grass yard was delightful. There are 2 small benches down a path overlooking a stream (dry at this time of year) that were ideal for enjoying a glass of wine while enjoying the serene quiet. The breeze stirred the quaking aspen, which was peaceful to see and hear. The nights are unbelievably dark and quiet - a perfect antidote to city life. The upper deck was perfect for afternoon/evening relaxing. The view of the Milky Way on a moonless night was spectacular! We love this place.

A beautiful honeymoon location

  • 5 of 5

We honeymooned at this cabin at the end of August and it exceeded all our expectations. Everything was as described and depicted in the pictures only seemed a lot fancier in person! The location was remote and peaceful and that's what we loved about it (though it is not IDEAL for daily trips to the national park entrances, there is really lovely hiking nearby and we didn't mind driving through the beautiful country when we wanted to go further). The cabin was clean, very comfortable, cozy and warm. Absolutely nothing we can complain about. Spectacular views! We highly recommend this cabin to honeymooners and look forward to returning to this special place ourselves.

Loved our trip!

  • 5 of 5

Great size for me, my husband, and our dog. All of the complaints from the previous review had been rectified. View was great and the wifi worked great. We are planning to book again during a different season as the biking and hiking trails were pretty muddy due to the recent snow.

Quiet with a beautiful view!

  • 4 of 5

The rental was very nice. It was clean and well equipped. The rental was in an extremely quiet (remote) area. The view from the porch looked directly at the west side of the Grand Teton Mountains. The drive to West Yellowstone was about 90 miles but there are two beautiful waterfalls along the way that you do not want to miss (Upper and Lower Mesa Falls). We spent one day enjoying Yellowstone National Park and the second day enjoying Grand Teton National Park. The rental property worked well for these two outings. I would recommend this property to others unless they have trouble with stairs, since the bedroom and full bath are upstairs. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

The property was in a lovely, quiet setting with issues

  • 3 of 5

The property was in a lovely, quiet setting. The cabin was adequately clean and equipped with the basics. Unfortunately the boasted loft bedroom and balcony view of the Tetons was obstructed by trees that have grown up around the balcony since the advertised picture was taken. And most of the windows were dirty with ragged curtains.

We ended up leaving earlier than intended because we were unable to access the wifi except for the first 12 hours at the cabin. (The wifi modem is located in another house on the property, and we did not have access to reset it.) There was no phone at the cabin and we did not have cell coverage. The property managers, Grand Teton Valley Lodging, provided contact phone numbers for various issues that might arise. We had advised them of our unreliable cell phone coverage via email prior to our arrival. We had to find the address for the office, stop by to tell them that we didn't have wifi access. They came to the cabin while we were out leaving us a note that the wifi "seemed to be working" (it wasn't) and to CALL if we still had a problem. The lack of concern/response to the issues brought to Grand Teton Valley Lodging was frustrating and disappointing. I suggested a refund of at least one of the two nights at the cabin we were forfeiting, that is what we were refunded, one day. The location for scenic drives, including the Grand Tetons, was excellent and the town of Driggs has some good restaurants, but I would recommend a different accommodation to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Owner's Response: We do apologize that the cabin was more rustic than you expected. We have since resolved the WIFI, it was a bigger issue that needed technical support, taking 48 hours to address. The homeowner has topped the aspen tree that grew past the top deck and blocked the mountain view from the bedroom. We have suggested landlines for homes we manage, but today's technology has caused many people to steer away from landlines. We try to advertise the cabin accurately, and it is described with no landline. Thank you for your review, we will do our best to clarify the details of the cabin for future guests.
