About: We love to travel (with our two Yorkies when possible). VRBO has provided us with wonderful places in Greece, Maine, London, Pacific Northwest and San Francisco. After visiting the Boone/Blowing Rock area for the past 20 years, we are lucky to have a true 'log cabin' to call our own- and to share with you. Enjoy.
Why Blowing Rock, NC, USA:
Ahh - as soon as you walk in the cabin you feel relaxed - calm- at ease. We have furnished our cabin with tasteful furnishings. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking, baking, blending and even a quesadilla maker. The master bedroom is furnished in French Toille, while the twin bedroom has antique white iron beds and fun 'blue-jean' theme. Bathrooms have been renovated in 2012. The lower level is great as a 'kids' area. If two couples or families share the unit, each family can have a 'separate' floor with their own private entrance, bath, sleeping quarters and family room with fireplace and TV. Enjoy hiking or horseback riding, then wash clothes in the full sized washer/dryer so you can go white-water rafting, GEM mining, or visit Linville Caverns the next day. Blowing Rock has kept it's mountain village charm, yet has great boutique shops, a variety of restaurants from ice cream shop to The Mellow Mushroom pizza to fine dining. And only 7 minutes away! Or go hiking all day, and come back to cook some dinner on the gas grill - or enjoy a glass of wine while rocking in the screened porch. The wrap around deck make you feel like your are cacooned in a treehouse - quiet - calm - ahh- you are home.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Two fireplaces, cozy furnishings, close to Blowing Rock, yet still in the woods. Very EASY access - no steep mountain road to get into or out of the cabin. Want to enjoy Merlefest - we are only 30 minutes away.
