A luxurious 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom custom home with 5-star finishes.
About Jon Venverloh
We love gatherings of family and friends and chose this home because the layout of the common areas brings people together. At the same time, the bedrooms are quiet and private, and each has its own bathroom. We are a Bay Area family who has been visiting Lake Tahoe for 20 years, and bought this home in 2005. Our property manager, Justin Smith, is a long time Tahoe resident and will help you with any questions or needs during the days prior to and after your arrival.
Jon Venverloh purchased this House in 2005
Why Jon Venverloh chose Northstar California Resort
This is a beautiful custom home built in 2002 to the highest standards. Big Springs homes are mostly 2nd and 3rd homes, so there is little traffic and it's extremely quiet. Take hikes right out the back door. In typical winters, it's even possible to ski in if you know the way!
What makes this House unique
The Eagles Nest is situated on about 1/2 of an acre with a very gentle slope towards the street. There is lots of space between homes in the Big Springs neighborhood. The driveway is easy to manage, unlike some of the properties in Tahoe.

Lovely home, great location!!
Our vacation was perfect thanks to the thoughtful home owners.
Fun in the great room!
Our family of 11 + a dog (2 grandparents, 4 parents and 5 boys ages 6-14) totally enjoyed the layout of the great room. We could gather for meals and fun and games with ease. There is ample room in the house and every room is comfortable. We used the kitchen a lot and it was well stocked and convenient. The mud room also came in handy for extra storage. We were a little concerned as other properties we have stayed had more onsite fun things for the boys like a ping pong tables, hoops and foosball game tables. But the boys had fun playing pool and the piano. There isn’t much of a lawn area but they used the cul de sac for their baseball games. All in all everyone enjoyed the home.
The only thing we would warn people about is getting out of the garage and down the driveway. The home is elevated from the street and the ability to get turned around to go down was a challenge with three cars. Don’t recommend backing down. One of our SUVs did get some scratches from the rock retaining wall when we tried to back out. But other than the driveway everything met our expectations.
Top notch perfect stay
Beautiful home and furnishings. Enjoyed everything from the kitchen and dining room to the pool table and games to the hot tub and outside patio. Perfect stay and accommodations! Professional service and attention to detail from owner was outstanding. Thank you very much and highly recommend The Eagles Nest to others!
What an awesome House. We were there for spring break and could not of had a better time. We had 2 families with a total of 6 kids and never felt cramped. This house is as advertised, we will definitely come back again.
Wonderful house for a 12 women annual get together
The kitchen was really big so many of us could work together with lots of room. It was well equipped and with a little searching, we found everything we needed. The huge dinning room table made dinner meals a fun social gathering. The living room is also spacious.
The shuttle service to the village was fabulously handy and we used it a lot. We never had to move our cars.
The bathrooms were large with good showers. We loved the hot tub.
The bunk beds were comfy and large.
The only slight inconvenience was that while the hide-a-bed was in use at night, it was hard to get to the bathroom from the bunk bed rooms where 3 of us older women were sleeping. Is it possible it could be moved to the little alcove next to the pool table and used to sleep two more people there at night? The half bathroom next to it is very convenient.
This house really worked well for our big group.
