About the property

2 Bedrooms, 2 lofts, 2 bath (sleeps 6)

Welcome to Dreamweaver!! Dreamweaver is an environmentally friendly home located at the top of Ajax peak on a 5 acre estate. Operating totally off the grid, the house uses solar and wind power to make energy to store in 4 separate battery banks. Water is collected off the roofs and stored in cisterns under the house providing plenty of water for showers, cooking, and wash. An in line Seagull water filter system ensures water is pure and clean for drinking and cooking. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, 4 burner stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, and everything you want and need to make wonderful meals. Sit outside on the covered deck overlooking coral bay and the British virgin islands and enjoy a cool cocktail at the end of the day. A dip in the hot tub (Sundance Spas) is a great way to start the day taking in the awesome sunrise or at the end of the day under the moon and stars.

Come visit Dreamweaver and find out how easy and comfortable it is to live off the grid and use solar power for all your needs. Dreamweaver is very private and easy to get to; a paved road all the way to the door.

Much needed vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family of 3 stayed at Dreamweaver for a much needed vacation. The house is a great 2 bedroom. Located up in on the hillside on the quiet side of St. John. Large comfortable king size beds, 2 bathrooms with refreshing outdoor shower. Architecture of the house was very well designed to target breezes off the water, no air conditioning needed. Solar, batteries, and rain water collection to live "off the grid" without realizing it. Nice deck toward Coral Bay with great views and hot tub. Plenty of beachy stuff to load the rental jeep and enjoy the snorkeling. Hope to get back soon! Thanks Martha and Peter for being great hosts allowing both accessibility and privacy!

Beautiful and Serene

  • 5 of 5

We recently returned from a week at Dreamweaver and could not have been happier with the accomodations.

The house was spotless, the beds were comfy, and the kitchen was completely equipped for everything we needed whether eating in or out. The house has amazing views out over the bay and islands and is quiet and private. Our favorite thing to do each morning was to eat out on the covered porch, look out over the islands, and watch the hummingbird feed at the balcony. The outdoor shower was a welcome sight after a long day hiking and at the beach too. Peter and Martha; the property managers were delightful and directed us to lots of great hikes and snorkeling too. This was our first trip to St. John's, we plan to come back, and Dreamweaver will be our spot.

Comfortable, reasonable, and clean accommodations

  • 4 of 5

My family of 4 just returned from a great vacation week in St John. We stayed at the Dreamweaver and were well taken care of by the home and the manager. We arrived after dark, so the manager met us as we drove off the car ferry in Cruz Bay. She led us to the grocery store, allowed us to buy some items, then led us to the home, which is located on the Miracle Mile road in Coral Bay. It was about a 25 minute drive from Cruz Bay...and would likely have been difficult to find by the first time after dark without help. The home is clean, comfortable, and located in a very quiet neighborhood. Although we came and went quite a bit throughout the week, we didn't see or hear any of the neighbors. The house is about 10 minutes drive to Coral Bay...which was very convenient. The home, while not fancy, is very comfortable and well taken care of. All the things you needed to make a vacation go the right way were present: extra sunscreen, fun things for the beach including chairs and towels, coffee filters, a few left over beers in the fridge, and a washer/dryer and dishwasher. Beds were comfortable, views were unparalleled, and everything worked in the house. This property is not for the folks that want fancy accommodations...but I would recommend it without hesitation for folks looking for a comfortable home to stay in. It worked very well for us.

We just returned from a girl's retreat and wish we were still there! The property is comfortable, clean and well-stocked and we can't say enough about how helpful the property managers were! This is a wonderful place to regroup and recover from the stress of everyday life. Comfortable beds, hot tub on the deck overlooking the BVI's, well-stocked kitchen and beach chairs, towels and coolers for beach days. This is our 3rd trip to St. John but our first stay at Dreamweaver and we are already planning a trip back!

Our stay at Dreamweaver in March 2014 was delightful. We hated to leave this lovely, private spot close to the top of Ajax Peak. The breezes kept the villa cool without air conditioning, a big plus from our perspective. The long deck looking out on the British Virgin Islands provided a place to sit out of direct sunlight most of the day and to sun as well. We spent much time on that deck dining, reading, watching the hummingbirds—just relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed to easily prepare and cook meals. The bedrooms are large and airy. The outdoor shower off one bedroom is a treat. Another plus—the road is paved all the way to the villa. We look forward to returning.

Incredible View, Helpful Owners, Well Stocked, Great Value

  • 4 of 5

This was my fifth time to St. John and my first stay at Dreamweaver. It's not a fancy house like some you find on St. John, but it has a million dollar view and everything else we needed!

I loved watching the sunrise with hummingbirds visiting the feeder on the deck. The kitchen is stocked with every cooking item you could need, as well as a number of spices, oils and other staples. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of bath and beach towels for our group of 5 (two adults, 3 teens.) The road is paved all the way up and we had room to park our two Jeeps.

The owners are extremely nice and helpful. One of them even drove us to the starting line in Cruz Bay for the 8 Tuff Miles race so that we wouldn't have to hitchhike in either direction. (He met us as Skinny's, where we left our car before the race.)

I love this location - easy to get to the beaches on both the north and south shores, and great breezes. The hot tub was great after our many hikes and especially after 8 Tuff.

The lofts worked out well for us as we had no trouble climbing the ladders. For the very young, older or less-abled I'd recommend giving them the king beds. This house would work out well for two couples as the bedrooms are separated by the great room and each bedroom has its own bath.

I wish I was there now!
