The house was comfortable for my husband and two adult children. It was conveniently located, with a large mall within walking distance. It was easy to get on the freeway and also very close to restaurants in Glendale. We enjoyed our stay due to the convenient location. While the place was generally clean with fresh sheets and towels, it could have used a deep cleaning and even some fresh paint. The air vents, baseboards and tile grout on the kitchen floor all need some attention.

Concert vacation

Nice hidden property close to los angeles and universal studios. To bad the family was under the weather and we were unable to go to universal studios. Walking distance to the mall and movie theather.

Check in with the lock boxes was a bit confusing. There were two sets of keys to keep track of and some of the keys we were unsure what they were for. Host seemed very friendly/helpful.The house was clean enough, but did feel like it could do with a deep cleaning. The beds had super thin mattresses/pillows, and were not the most comfortable.Shower water was not the hottest but good enough. The location was great and very walkable. Overall this place did the job and was reasonably priced.

Check in was a little agervating. I asked the host if I could check in 30 mins early, they asked for a 20 extra payment so I decided to just kill some time. Pulled into the property 40 mins after check in with no code to get into the front door. So me and my 4 kids under 4 had to sit in the car for 20 more mins while trying to reach vrbo and the host. Home was just basic. Would be nice to have a few more pillows and towels. Home definitely would need a deep cleaning. Neighborhood seems very safe and only 5 mins walking from the mall.

Not what it appears

The IKEA style bed’s wooden slats kept slipping off the rails under the mattress making moving on the bed precarious. There were no hand towels for the bathrooms or hot pads in the kitchen. There were no dish towels for the kitchen. There was no hand soap for the bathrooms either. There was no top sheet on the beds, just fitted sheets with a duvet on top. It was just short of having what it seemed to advertise or what I have experienced with other stays. There were plugs that didn’t work plus a live open outlet. The pool cues were missing their tips making playing pool a bit more difficult I was surprised by all the missteps. The lighting was so intense and not enjoyable. Did love having a big backyard for us to hang out with everyone.

DO NOT BOOK THIS VRBO! What a mistake it was to book this property. I never book a location without reviews, but I did because the pictures looked promising. This was false advertising at it's finest.Let's begin with noting that there are no pictures of the outside of the home, that's because it's not kept up with. There are Christmas lights hanging from the home, a screen on the window that is falling, and a dilapidated home next door. Also note that the pictures showing the backyard do not represent what you will find yourself.Upon entering the home, there was a strong unpleasant chemical smell from whatever cleaning products were used to clean the home. The home had large black marks on the walls, sofas with stains, and honestly looked like a frat party had just come through. The beds were cheap Ikea style beds and furniture. The bedrooms all had exterior doors that lead to the outside of the home, which was a little concerning.The middle bathroom pictures don't show the large amount of mold and stains on the floor and edges. The kitchen has 2 microwaves, because one of them doesn't work. The straw that broke the camels back was when we went to shower at night. The towels had stains and hair on them, the sheets had blood on them, and the blinds had missing panels on both sides of the home (making the whole vibe a creepy one). We didn't even stay in the home. We left and booked a nearby hotel. Don't bother booking-stay at the hotels in the area.

Security Concerns and Unavailable to Check-In

I did not want to have to do this but I will share my experience with this property and property manager. We came to the house at 4:15 and there was a van in the driveway. So, we drove around for a while and then came back and the van was still there. I got out of the car and kinda peeked around the driveway and then a man came out of the house and asked curiously if I wanted to check-in. I said yes, and he said they were still cleaning. I didn’t really know what I could do so I just started walking back to my car and then another man came came out of the house and was acting oddly and I noticed him and then he said something inappropriate under his breath as he walked by. I got back in my car and my husband and I drove around some more, came back and they were still there and we felt really uncomfortable with the two cleaning men having access to the house and we thought being this late for having the house available was not OK. We informed the property manager Travel Oasis and they did not help. I told them we didn’t feel safe staying there and wanted a refund but they haven’t helped me yet. Other factors: there were screens hanging off the windows and the fence to park behind does not provide security. Overall, please don’t book this house; i’m afraid you’ll regret it as I have.
