Telfair Loft 410: 2 Suites+ View of Talmadge Bridge and Broughton Street

Forget about driving when you stay in this condo at the heart of the Historic District. Stroll out the door to restaurants, bars, boutiques and museums all literally within 3 blocks of this circa 1849 historic building. Many visitors are hoping to stay in an authentic historical area. This is an ideal choice! There is no slick modern surrounding at this property to disconnect you from the real history of the city. Modern conveniences abound- from a full kitchen and laundry machines in the unit to Starbucks steps away- but the Historic District and all its charms are essentially centered at this 160 year old address!

Location:

This condo is above Banana Republic and across the street from GAP as well as local boutiques like Terra Cotta and Copper Penny in case you didn't pack for the Savannah weather. Dozens of fine dining (Alligator Soul), casual restaurants (Roly Poly and Goosefeathers as well as Panera and McDonalds) and stylish bars (Jazz'd) and pubs (Moon River and World of Beer) are within a 2 block radius of this address.

Sleeping arrangements:

2 bedrooms each with their own attached bathrooms make this condo fantastic for 2 couples or individuals traveling together who still want their own space and privacy.

2 rollaway cots are available for a 5th and 6th person. One cot is in the closet of each bedroom.

This condo has central heat and air conditioning.

This condo now has ESPN! Flat screen television in living room.

Parking:

This unit comes with a garage access card for one vehicle!

Any additional cars that come with your group can pay the garage attendant (the garage is public) or obtain a parking pass from the City of Savannah Visitors Center for street parking.

If you don't have vehicle you will be thrilled with your location.

What is provided:

-Hotel size soap in bathrooms

-There is one hair dryer in the unit

-A coffee maker and toaster are in the kitchen

What is not provided:

-Beach towels. Please bring your own towels if you plan to visit the beach.

- Laundry products (dryer sheets, spray starch, etc). We do frequently leave detergent in the unit and you are welcome to use what you find there but we do not officially provide detergent

-Food items

Check in is 3pm or later, checkout is by 11am. Cancelations with more than 60 days notice will receive a refund less $50 fee and cancelations within 60 days of arrival will not receive a refund.

This unit is on floor 4. The building has an elevator. The elevator has just been renovated with a new engine, and is currently running. The cab interior is next to be remodeled. During the renovation there will be brief periods that the elevator is shut down.

We had a great time in Savannah! The apartment was great- lots of space and perfect location. Walking around the city was lots of fun. Our daughter loved the boat and bus rides and we loved the old historic homes and the River.

Excellent! Would stay again!!!

You cannot beat the location! Having parking is also great, but you don't need it. Everything is in walking distance. Went there for a college graduation, and it was nice to have the daughters over and not have to talk all huddled on a hotel bed. Would definitely stay there in the future!!!

The property was fabulous!

We loved the property and the location! It was perfect for our birthday celebration.

Lots of info in the unit about Savannah, etc. Great that it had one parking pass. You will park your car and not drive anywhere if you're not going to the beach or somewhere out of downtown. We will stay there again!

Fantastic location!

We rented this property for a girls weekend and I must say, it was not only an easy process but the place is in the perfect location & had plenty of space! Everyone had a bed (big enough to sleep 6 with the 2 bedrooms & 2 rollaways) and there was plenty of common space to enjoy the weekend! Will definitely recommend and be back one day (as it was not only cute and met all of our lodging needs, but it was super affordable!)

Can't find a better place to stay!!

We planed this trip back in March, we looked at a lot of places and choose to give this one a try. We arrived on Tuesday after hurricane Matthew hit the area on Friday. I called and spoke with Mary on Sunday and she told me they had power and the airport was open, so we decided to go. When we arrived the loft was just as it was pictured. The location was great and the parking garage was easy to get to and from. We walked most everywhere we went. It's three short blocks off the river. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. We found a good breakfast place called Goose feathers , it was a block from the loft and we ate there 3 times in 4 days..while there was a lot of storm damage and the loss of some huge beautiful trees out stay was great. If you are considering going to Savanaha you will do well to look at this property.

Great stay. Perfect location

Everything you want is right here. Big spacious rooms. Comfortable beds and phenomenal view.

For some reason we had a problem locating the hairdryer and after texting Mary she responded in five minutes and a crisis was avoided! Was like having our own hotel concierge!

Location is perfect steps away from everything and the parking pass was a godsend

We will definitely be staying here again

Fair - expected more for the cost.

For very little expense, several things could be improved - some doors don't close, only place to sit in the main area (the tall table) was unstable, no dressers to put clothes away - lived out of suitcases, the TV in the living room is too far away from the couches, poor lighting throughout, lack of nightstands on each side of the bed, ancient T.V in the bedroom, the ironing board cover doesn't tie, only one pan, needed more hangers in the closets. The tall windows are lovely but hung with cheap broken (held together with tape and rubber bands) curtain rods - one curtain fell off the first time we tried to look out the window. The location was great! The condo was clean.

Owner's Response: The value of this condo is compelling to anyone who has priced a hotel across the street. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms for the same or less than 1 hotel room with one bathroom. Each bedroom has a closet with hangers, but indeed no dressers as shown in photos. Please know that the photos are literal and what you see is what you will get. We have a full set of pots and pans in the kitchen. We did replace the 2 broken curtain rods after this person's stay, well before receiving this review since the maid told us about the issue. I will check the ironing board cover tie to see if I can fix that tie. Reviews are held for 2 weeks on VRBO so letting me know about things I can address such as the wobbly table (which we have stabilized) faster with a direct message to me is greatly appreciated. We are glad even a critical review writer agreed that the location is great and the cleanliness was noted!
