About Laurie

Jungle Beach is owned & operated by Carolyn, Francene & Lenore, daughters of Frank Saccente.

Laurie purchased this house in 1961

Why Laurie chose Laurel

It was 1961 when my great grandfather sold this property to his son Frank for $1.00. My grandfather Frank was a little leery of the property his dad had purchased. At the time it was hard to believe there was even a beach here. The property was 1 acre of heavy dense woods, hence the name Jungle Beach. When they finally got through the jungle of trees and reached the beach, is when Frank realized he had just made the best real estate purchase of his life. The beach on the Great Peconic Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! So in 1970 Frank decided to build his dream beach house for his wife Laurene, 4 daughters and all their children. Unfortunately, 45 years later Frank and his wife have passed and now his daughters have the privilege to carry on the tradition to keep Jungle Beach as a vacation getaway for their families as long as possible.

Beautiful beach front property

Excellent property, in a beautiful location. The accomodation offers plenty of entertainment whatever the weather. You need a car to get around but would thoroughly recommend anyone to stay here if you have the opportunity.

Nice North Fork Family Vaca Peconic Bayfront Property

  • 4 of 5

We spent a great week with 4 adults and 4 kids. Beach and water was great. Water sports equipment was convenient. House and yard were well equipped, neat and clean.

Local Boy

I grew up on the North Fork but our family home is modest, so when my wife decided to throw me a 40th bday we went looking around for the perfect place. And we found it! The setting is perfect, right on the beach with so much outdoor space to enjoy. The interior has a great room for large dining parties and a comfortable den for watching your favorite sports team after a long day on the water. The professional Viking grill was a nice added touch for a chef like me. I can't wait to go back again and again. Thank you so much to the family for letting us share your wonderful home.

Amazing stay on the North Fork

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this house with close family and friends to celebrate my 30th birthday. The house was perfect - lots of bedrooms, a big dining room where everyone could eat together, a gorgeous beach, big renovated kitchen, etc. While it's not a brand new house, it is full of charm with a great central location for exploring the East End. I hope to return sometime soon!

Heaven on Earth

  • 5 of 5

I stayed for three nights in August of 2012, I would have been there in 2013, but I had surgery that ruined my summer. This house is the best of all worlds, private and secluded, you think your in the country until you walk down a path and enter a beautiful deck, right on the beach. Everything you need to have fun is there. The water is not rough so you dont need to worry about the kids. The water is clean, and the atmosphere is ideal for families. The owners are the nicest sisters in the world, and it shows in the beauty of the home. Everything is designed for comfort. Clean, modern and everything is designed for ease. I have rented many summer homes in New Jersey and New York, but this one stands out, pictures do not do it justice.

Perfect spot for a quiet family gathering on the bay

  • 5 of 5

This house has lots of charm and all the comforts of home (particularly if you like to cook and bake). The beds were comfortable and there are plenty of them for one large family or 2-3 families traveling together.

Although it wasn't quite warm enough to take advantage of the water, the beach was beautiful and the backyard great for kids (and dogs) to run around. The only problem we had was not being able to find the horseshoes for the pit.

We have rented houses on the North Fork for many years and this house has it all...location - very close to wineries and great restaurants, location - right on the bay with its own beach, and space - outside and in. I highly recommend renting this house, we plan to rent it again!
