About the property

Apartment for 4 people 1 bedroom and 2 bathroms (1 en suite)

The apartment is located very close to the Vatican Museums (50 meters), and it is particularly comfortable for those who wish to visit the Vatican area: Saint Peter Cathedral, Borgo Pio (a Roman medieval neighbourhood), Sant' Angelo Castle are all places which are within a 10-15 minutes walk. But getting to Rome’s other historical centre sites is very easy by the Metro (the subway stop

Cipro-Musei Vaticani is just 100 meters from the apartment). Youcan reach the Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagna) in just four stops.

A couple of blocks from the apartment is the Andrea Doria fresh fruit and meat market (great food) and if you wish you can prepare your meals in the apartment kitchen. However in this central area, lively and safe, you can find many restaurants, bars, cinemas, where mainly locals hang out.

The public parking is in front of the apartment.

The 70 square meters apartment has been recently fully refurbished, keeping all the art deco features of the 1930 building. It is at the second floor of a 4 story building with elevator.

It can accommodate from two to four guests and it is composed by a large hall, 1 main bedroom with a double bed (160 cm X 200cm), a spacious living room with a sofa-bed, a kitchen, 2 bathrooms with shower (one en suite), air conditioning and central heating. There is wifi broad band connection and satellite TV

About The Owner

my name is Nicoletta, I'm married and I have a daughter of 20 years.

I work as a researcher at a government research center but I like to follow this activity, which has already given me a lot of satisfaction. I want our guests to feel at home and have every comfort

The Owner purchased this apartment in 1930

Why The Owner chose Rome

The apartment has just been renovated. It has many amenities: it is in front of a metro station that will take you to the historic center in 10 minutes, many buses are available within 50 meters, the entrance of the Vatican Museums is 200 meters. A large public car park is opposite the metro station (50 meters).

The area is full of shops and restaurants nearby and there is an outdoor market and a flower market.

Exceptional Rome Apartment

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a memorable trip to Rome for the canonization of Mother Teresa. From the time we inquired about this apartment, the owner was very responsive and extremely helpful. He eased all our concerns and even provided assistance with a taxi upon arrival. The apartment was exceptional and in a very safe neighborhood. It was a fifteen minute walk to St. Peter's Square and ten minutes to the Vatican Museum. During our early morning (4:45am and 5:30 am) walks to the Papal Audience and events at St. Peter's Square, we felt safe and did not encounter any problems. The market, fruit stand, bakery and ice cream/gelato shop were all a short walk from the apartment. The kitchen was fully stocked and while we were used to a microwave, the lack of one, did not pose a problem. The washing machine was SO convenient and hanging the clothes to dry was not a big issue. The internet was great and allowed us to call our family in the US without incurring high cell phone costs. I have to say that we were fascinated by the adults and children that would gather in front of the church across the street until late into the night to talk and play. This apartment is truly a "home away from home." We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Rome.

Lovely apartment

  • 5 of 5

My husband and i spent 5 nights at this apartment recently and I was so glad to have picked it. I was working for most of that time so I wanted a place that would be comfortable for my non-Italian-speaking, gelato- and coffee-loving husband. He did great from this location and even became a regular at a good pizzeria just down the street.

When not out enjoying Rome, we enjoyed the comfort and decor of the apartment. High ceilings and tasteful design choices abound. There was a rug suitable for yoga for me. Having the two bathrooms was a treat after having shared a small one at a hotel. We are not big air conditioning users, but it was hot some days and having those effective A/C systems to run was great. There was plenty of storage space.

I did not get to meet Paolo but he and his wife were supportive and pleasant as we prepared to arrive and leave.

This is good value. We recommend it.

Lovely apartment!

  • 5 of 5

This apartment exceeded our expectations! It comes fully equipped with everything you will need for a wonderful vacation. The kitchen EVEN has an oven for baking! It lacks a microwave, but that was no problem for us. The kitchen comes furnished with pots, pans, utensils for cooking and eating, and dinnerware. The rest is up to you. The apartment is very spacious and well-maintained. The apartment owner, Paolo, is so warm and friendly and lives in his other apartment in the same building, so if you need something, he's right there. And as far as the location goes, you couldn't ask for better. It's, literally, right around the corner from the Vatican. There's a grocery store down the street, the Metro is right across the street adjacent to the apartment and there's a restaurant two doors down called La Rustichella that has AMAZING food and a SPECTACULAR waiter named Gregory. You just really couldn't ask for more from a vacay in Rome! If we are ever fortunate enough to return to the Eternal City, I will be booking this apartment again.

Location, location, location!

  • 5 of 5

My parents, ages 70 and 65, spent one month in Rome at Nicoletta and Paolo's apartment. They had a wonderful time and look forward to staying there again on their next trip to Rome. The location of this apartment is fantastic! Everything is within walking distance: the bus stop, the metro, the Vatican, the market. The apartment is very clean and much roomier than they anticipated. My sister and her husband joined my parents for a few nights and they did not feel crowded at all. Nicolleta was very attentive. They ran out of hot water once and she addressed the problem immediately. My parents had a wonderful time on their extended visit to Rome primarily because they felt so at home and comfortable in this well located apartment. Grazie, Nicoletta and Paolo ... hope to see you soon!

Lovely apartment in excellent location

  • 5 of 5

Using VRBO for the first time, especially since the rental was located in another country, I was very hesitant but after spending the week in this lovely apartment I will book vacations only through VRBO! The owners were extremely responsive. The apartment was perfect! It was within walking distance of Vatican City, the Metro was just a block away, there is a small grocery market down the street and the best gelato store two doors down! What more could you ask for? The residence was clean, modern and quite comfortable. Bathrooms were updated, the kitchen was equipped with utensils, coffee maker and appliances. Our visit to Rome was made even better due to the wonderful experience we had renting this adorable apartment at a very reasonable cost. Thank you to Paolo and Nicoletta for everything!

Wonderful Apartment in Rome

  • 5 of 5

I absolutely loved my stay here. The apartment was impeccably well furnished and clean with lots of natural light, just as it appears in the photos. The rooms are very spacious and did not feel at all cramped, even with four people. Getting into the city is extremely easy with metro and bus stops nearby, and there are plenty of good restaurants on the streets nearby, including a fantastic gelateria right outside the door. Nicoletta and her family could not be more welcoming and will make you feel immediately at home. I definitely would stay here again!
