Five BR, 3BA, FR, Great Room (combination living room/dining room), and eat-in-kitchen. Equally comfortable for two, four, six, or up to twelve occupants. ONE DOES NOT WALK BY ANY OTHER BEDROOM TO ACCESS ANY BEDROOM. Sleeps up to 12. Great for multi-generation gatherings. And three bedrooms have direct access to private patio. All with vistas, two of them with ocean views.

Roche Bobois, Ligne Roset, Baughman, BDI & other top of the line furniture. 2013 65' top rated Panasonic plasma TV. Tempurpedic mattresses (two Cal-King - one of which can be split into two single XL, two queens, one bunk bed and one double) on six of the eight beds, the other two featuring top of the line pillow top mattresses. Feather pillows. New hardwood floors, hardware, lighting (and controls) and granite throughout (counters, bath, fireplace & thresholds). Home enjoys ocean views and enjoys elbow room of 26,000 sf of land which includes adjoining lot owned by same owner. Huge patios including one with sweeping ocean, cove, and North Shore views. Big circular driveway. Parking for 8-10 cars in huge motor court.

SUPERB LOCATION. In the heart of La Jolla, the home is only 0.29 miles from the beaches of La Jolla Shores, a huge crescent-shaped children-friendly beach. For computer use, six foot glass topped 'desk' in FR with two Knoll office chairs. For dining, tables and chairs for ten (twelve when using the office chairs).

What makes this house unique

Enjoy being indoors with the feeling of being one with nature. Glass just disappears into the ceilings and many of the walls. YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE OUTDOORS WHILE INSIDE THE HOME. Eight huge skylights bath the home with light while the cedar roof overhang providing natural sun control. Two of the skylights in the bathroom area are ventilating.

And speaking of ventilation, with operative sliding glass windows next to the ceiling in all rooms, catch the ocean breezes and enjoy SUPER cross ventilation. That ventilation eliminates all the hot air that typically rises to the ceiling and creates higher interior than exterior temperatures. No need for mechanical airconditioning nor is any featured. ENJOY LA JOLLA'S FANTASTIC WEATHER WHILE INSIDE YOUR HOME!

Although there is little need for it, enjoy radiant hot water heat in the floors on those cooler winter nights.

Wonderful huge patios and much lush vegetation. Extreme privacy.

Busy street dangerous for families with small children

I want to warn families with small children that the busy street of Torrey Pines is VERY, very busy and there are 9 exterior doors that lead to the outside!! The disclosure mentions the busy street but I did not know it would be this busy or so many doors to the outside. The street noise is loud. So, we were constantly nervous our 2.5 year old was going to unlock a door and wander out into the street. If I had known there were NINE exterior doors that lead to a very busy street, we would never have stayed here. Of course, we are very vigilant parents but how do you watch 9 doors?? I was so nervous about this. David told us the street was easy to cross and while there is a crosswalk, the busy traffic does not stop for you and it is not easily marked as a crosswalk and waiting 5 minutes to cross is not uncommon. To "walk" to the beach, you would have to cross this incredibly busy street. My husband joked this street is busier than the interstate. And there is constant street noise from the busy road as several other travelers mentioned. There were no white noise machines that we saw when we there. Also, we had to ask that the floors be cleaned as we noticed the 2nd day that our toddler's feet and ours were literally black from walking around barefoot on dirty floors. David did respond and have the housekeeper come promptly, but when you are paying the high price for staying here, it shouldn't have ever happened. Also, the washing machine smells like mildew and we were asked to put the trash out a couple of days into our arrival. I did not like being asked to roll out the trash for pick up 2 days into our arrive and put someone else's trash out (from the previous guests the week before us). We have rented a lot of houses and haven't had to ever deal with the previous guests trash. As far as the ocean view, it can be seen from the kitchen and breakfast window only and there are light poles visible in the way. For the rooftop deck, the path is straight up a not well groomed hill and is treacherous for the elderly and children. It is very steep and the stones leading up to it are loose somewhat. I myself was worried about falling, so we did not go up there except once, even though the view was nice. It was too dangerous to walk up there IMO. David is nice & wants to please, but we did have some hiccups. He provides baby beds and high chairs which we enjoyed. The breeze and patio are very nice. Location in La Jolla is good too

Beautiful home and property, great location, updated, clean and comfortable

My sister's family and my family stayed here for a week and loved it. The living spaces, rooms and beds were set up great for our families, and the home was very comfortable. The back patio and yard were great for hanging out. The kids loved exploring the property, and the adults got to hang out on the patio after they went to bed. We went to Legoland, Disneyland, the Midway aircraft carrier in San Diego and the beach in La Jolla and Coronado. Downtown La Jolla was right there, with lots of restaurants and a grocery store. The home was great, lots of space, easy to cook and grill, and nice to relax inside and out. David, the owner, was great and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted. He had cribs, fans, beach toys and beach chairs. The location was easy to get to the highway, and the neighborhood felt very safe. We would definitely stay here again.

2 Minutes to the Beach!

We stayed at David’s vacation house the weekend of March 18th with our four young children and had a great time! We arrived around midnight after driving from Disneyland to San Diego, and it was so nice to be able to walk into the home and put each child into their own comfortable bed, complete with white noise machines and blinds. Our kids slept great and consequently we slept great! The house has everything a family could need, from a high chair to a crib, as well as comforts for adults such as a big screen TV (with Netflix!) and fully-stocked kitchen including an espresso machine. The bathrooms are all recently remodeled with modern fixtures and rainforest showers, and the upper deck has a great view of the ocean. The best part is that it’s just a 2 minute Uber/Lyft ride to the beautiful La Jolla shores beach. We will be back soon for sure!
