Seaclub Mediterranean Resort
Seaclub Mediterranean Resort
Went with granddaughter and her parents. Not a good choice for aging adults. Room had no cold water on arrival. Leak through ceiling on 2 days. Given extra towels to soak up water til fixed the next day. Very noisy when neighbours returning at night upstairs. Noise from furniture moving and conversations and other activities easily heard through walls. No sun loungers as always occupied with towels. Adult only pool area is not. Accompanying children are allowed.
Rules and regulations not policed by staff. No food on arrival or departure as restaurant closed although paid for half board for all stay. On a positive note grounds and pools always clean and tidy. Lots of activities for children. Food was ok with a good choice. Staff generally helpful and friendly. Will not be returning.
Great facilities, fantastic service
This was our first visit to Mallorca, and we were delighted with the town (Platja Alcudia) and the Seaclub complex. We found the customer service to be superior right from the off, and it never dipped, the staff everywhere in the complex were always so friendly and helpful. The facilities in the complex itself were great, the rooms were clean and well presented, with a modern feel and with lots of nice extras, bathrobes and slippers for example....the wifi was free and it always worked!! The rooms were well serviced, and regularly too. The pool was cold but it was exclusive to our bit of the complex. In short we were most satisfied with our stay, in the complex especially and in Alcudia in general. We would certainly recommend our stay to others.
Nice, big resort - ideal for families
The resort isn't too far from the airport. On arrival the reception area is well presented and we found the reception staff helpful. Our apartment decor was fairly modern - lots of nice wood effect finish and a fairly modern bathroom - the floral curtains and throws let it down slightly, didn't match at all. Powerful shower but it did leak a little. Two single beds isn't ideal for a couple but I understand it is the norm... air-con, small balcony and TV were all included and came in handy.
Snack bars and mini-supermarkets located all over the large resort - food was OK, drinks were good if a little over-priced. Several different pool areas - all clean and nicely layed out. I noticed there was some entertainment at night in the main restaurant - although we never ate there - good for the kids or a laugh if nothing else. There were a few basketball/football courts dotted around, kids play area and the like.
Overall a good stay at a decent price. No big complaints! Very family focussed so, if travelling without kids, I'd go for the Serenity hotel block within Seaclub - we wished we did but never noticed at booking.
Ok hotel, shame about the extras
A fairly expensive stay at a Majorcan Butlins. Staff were ok but being asked to pay extra for Wi-Fi and safety deposit is out of line with expectations for the cost of the stay. We went out of school holidays time deliberately and were surprised by the number of school age children staying. Not a major problem but visitors need to be aware of the likelihood of this.
