We stayed this past weekend and had a nice time. The property is everything mentioned and more. The room and bathroom was very clean. The bathroom was amazing. We hope to stay again soon for another staycation.

Mahalo Mark and Sarah for making us feel welcome.

Tranquility

  • 5 of 5

My nine year old, my partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. We particularly appreciated the peace and quiet after three nights in Waikiki (ugh). Sounds of nature, including the distant noise of BIG surf. The place is comfortable, very clean, and equipped with everything you could need and more. Thank you Mark and Sarah!

Quite, beautiful, a true diamond set in a ranch

  • 5 of 5

This rental is truly a diamond set in a beautiful, peaceful rustic ranch setting. A lot of attention to detail in this rental. I highly recommend it for peaceful north shore getaway. I really didn't want to leave!

A gem! Highly recommended!

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights after staying in Waikiki for a few nights. The contrast to the touristy areas were much welcome. The North Shore has a lot to offer and has a wonderful laid-back, slow-paced vibe. Our stay on the North Shore would not have been as magical if it weren't for this condo though!

The unit is situated on a large property that is a home to many animals-- we saw wild pigs, peacocks, chickens, horses, and ducks. We went to bed to the sound of crickets and woke up to bird calls. It was all very surreal to big city dwellers like ourselves. The drive into the property was a bit rough in our little rental car but it survived.

The location is about a 10 minute drive to town. We had to rely on our car during our stay here since it was so remote, but luckily nothing was too far of a drive away.

The unit itself was absolutely stunning. Immaculately clean, updated, and decorated; it felt like staying in a luxury resort. The marble bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, a massive shower (with 3 shower heads), separate room for the toilet, double sinks, and a large walk-in closet, is probably larger than my San Francisco apartment.

There is a laundry room (with supplies) connected to the unit, which came in handy. The fully stocked mini kitchen was also helpful. I bought some kona coffee and used the coffee maker every morning.

The walk-in closet off the bathroom was stocked with everything you need for the beach--- towels, umbrella, beach chairs, snorkeling equipment, flotation devices. I also noticed a lot of toys and supplies for kids.

We couldn't get the wifi to work, but I also didn't try very hard or as the owner for help.

We enjoyed driving along the ocean across the North Shore (going east.) There are plenty of food trucks, fresh fruit stands, and beautiful beaches to stop at. One of our favorite food stops in the area was at Giovanni's shrimp truck, about 10 min away. We brought it back to our unit with a bottle of wine and enjoyed our meal at the dining table while enjoying the view and tranquility of the property.

Overall, this was a magical place to stay-- we were floored by the setting, quality, cleanliness, and beauty. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful getaway on the north shore!

The Andersons

A MUST STAY! We are a family of four with two little girls. We were living on the north shore, but sold our home earlier than expected and needed a place to stay while we transitioned to our new home; to our advantage this gem of a rental was available. We have driven by Dillingham Lodge hundreds of times, but would have never known this secluded home was nestled at the foothills. As soon as we began driving up the dirt road we knew we were in for a treat; passing cattle, the occasional wild pig, and horses. Sarah immediately greeted us as we pulled in and gave us a tour of the beautifully modeled one bedroom. There were so many ammenties: everything you need to prepare meals, beach essentials, and so much more. They provided toys, a play pen for our infant and their sweet, little man O'Ryan played and shared all his cool toys with the girls. Between the dream shower, jacuzzi tub, and heavenly views of skydivers gliding over the ocean we were hopeful we could just move in and extend the experience of nature in its simplicity. If you are visiting the island or browsing for a place to do a staycation, it would be silly to pass an opportunity to stay in a place where locals don't even get a chance to peek and play. This is the way Hawai'i nei should be experienced, in all of its rawness and beauty.

Apologize for the long review, but we were stoked on the experience. Many mahalos Mark and Sarah!

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

We just completed our 7 day stay at this property, and we enjoyed every minute! The studio is on private property in the foothills overlooking Mokuleia beach In the near distance. It is peaceful and quiet, all you hear are the birds and the gentle sound of coastal showers in the tropical surroundings. It was great after long days of sightseeing and crowds, you were able to return to peaceful tranquility!

The road to the unit is a little long and bumpy, as it is a country dirt/gravel road with some ruts. I would advise an SUV, but if you drive careful, a car would probably be fine. The bathroom in itself is worth the price of this studio! It is huge with double sinks, granite counter and a gigantic walk in Travertine tile shower with 3 different shower heads; an overhead rain shower, hand held and wall. It has a window in it too so you can feel the hawaiian ocean breeze and enjoy the view as you shower! Don't worry about privacy, there is plenty of it! It also has a deep jacuzzi tub. Fabulous! You couldn't get features like this in a 5 star hotel without paying at least $300/night!

Sarah and Mark are the on site owners and are very welcoming and ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay!

We can't wait to come back on our next trip!

Mahalo!
