Established area with lots of history and great places to explore in the Longlake area.The property is strictly NON SMOKING, not including the decks.. The home is situated in historical North Nanaimo/Longlake in a established and very friendly development that is within minutes of everything that this vibrant city has to offer be it......Beaches, Lakes, Parks, Shops, Malls, Harbour front, Marinas, English Style Pubs, Restaurants, Aquatic Centres, Horse riding, Golf Courses, Miniture and Crazy Golf, the famous Goats on the Roof!!..Hiking, Biking, Caving, Zip Lining , Bunjee Jumping!!...you name it and you are close to it!!!!..... Nanaimo is also a marvellous central location on Vancouver Island making it ideal for daily excursions either up Island to......Mount Washington (with its beautiful wildflowers and great hiking & mountain bike trails in the spring and summer, not to mention the varied snow activities in the winter months), Courtney / Comox, Campbell River and Telegraph Cove (with its authentic and original buildings built on piles with its famous boardwalk) to name a few. Or down Island .... Victoria, British Columbia's beautiful capital is a pleasant 90 minute journey away passing over the Malahat with its breathtaking views. Closer by you will find the lovely town of Ladysmith, Saltair, Crofton (where you can take the ferry over to Saltspring Island), Chemainus (with its famous Murals) and Duncan (home of the Totems). Or travel over to the wild west coast (passing by Cathedral Grove (45 minutes away) with old growth giant Cedars some over 800 years old) through Port Alberni to Tofino (approx. 3 hours drive) and the fabulous surfing beaches including Chesterman & Long Beach. All these places and many more not mentioned have lots to interest and entertain you. We will also be happy to suggest other excursions, just ask. As the owners of the property we attend personally to all matters from bookings to greeting guests and handing over the keys. We are close by and will do our utmost to ensure that everything is to your satisfaction and you have an enjoyable and memorable stay at any of our properties on Beautiful Vancouver Island!!
