OUR VISIT TO CHATHAM COTTAGE SEPTEMBER 15 TO SEPTEMBER 22, 2018
WHEN WE ARRIVED WE COULD NOT GET INTO THE COTTAGE - WE HAD TO GET HELP FROM TWO OTHER FAMILIES. WE CONTACTED THE OWNER WHO LIVES IN BOSTON FOR HELP WHICH HE SAID THE SYSTEM IS HARD TO OPEN AT TIMES - SHOULD BE FIXED! - INSIDE THERE WAS A LARGE BUNDLE OF WET SHEETS AND TOWELS ON THE FLOOR - THE COTTAGE HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED AT ALL. THE CLEANERS ARRIVED ABOUT AN HOUR AFTER ARE ARRIVAL. AND DID THEIR JOB - THE ACCOMMODATION WAS THE THE WORST WE EVER STAYED IN THE 54 YEARS THAT WE HAVE VISITING CAPE COD. THE REFRIGERATOR IN THE KICHEN WAS FULL OF RUST - FURNITURE BAD TASTE.
wE HAD A GREAT TIME IN THE AREA - PRICE WAS EXTREMELY HIGH FOR WHAT WE GOT IN ARE OPINION. RB
My husband and I, and our baby girl, loved the Windmill. Great location. Very clean. We will be coming back!
Awesome view, great location, very comfortable accommodations. Well appointed all amenities.
We booked this last minute looking for a close to town location. We not only got that but a fabulous water view. The Windmill is very comfortable and meticulously clean. The Owner was very attentive and a pleasure to work with.
Being able to walk to the Chatham A's, the Band Concert, CVS, grocery store, Bike rental and of course the beach was an added bonus. Visited our favorite restaurant-DelMar and had pizza from Sweet Tomatoes.
We also enjoyed getting to know the guests in the nearby Carriage House and hearing about their day trip adventures.
I have already recommended this property to family and friends and very likely will be returning.
Very attractive and charming in upscale neighborhood.
The Windmill delights. It is small and tight but charming and tastefully decorated and comfortable. The location is ideal: Set in a garden of a residential, upscale neighborhood; quiet but close to the village and shops overlooking the beautiful Pond.
Be aware, the upstairs bedroom is accessed by a steep staircase. Therefore I would not recommend the Windmill to anyone with physical limitations or children....But my (adult) daughter and I love it!
Charming cottage with an excellent location
Perfect for two, quiet, comfortably furnished. We enjoyed a week here while visiting with family staying at a house nearby. Lovely private patio, two sitting rooms, an easy walk to the commercial center of Chatham. The only drawbacks were no counter space in the kitchen and the steep stairs separating the bedroom from the bathroom. We did not intend to cook so that was not a problem for us and we managed the stairs gingerly. The king bed, open to lovely marine breezes, was heaven.
Just what we were looking for
The Windmill is situated perfectly and close to the water and town. We enjoyed morning and afternoon bike rides from this convenient location and enjoying the beautiful location and water view. The Windmill is charming.
