Great Hotel and Staff in Reykjavik

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent 5 night stay at the hotel. Our studio room was spacious and nicely appointed. The included breakfast was perfect for busy days when a European-style breakfast (cheese, cold cuts, bread, juice) was quick and filling. The option to have a hot breakfast at Port 9 for a small upcharge was also a plus that we enjoyed on two of our mornings. All of the staff members we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is a block away from the main shopping and dining street so everything was easy to get to. Overall great experience.

beautifully restored historic building

  • 5 of 5

This hotel is well located near the city center yet on a very quiet street. We were in the #21 building with the bus stop just across the street. The building was once the prime ministers home and has many beautiful details in the architecture that were maintained in the conversion. Our studio suite was spacious and clean. There was some construction equipment behind the building, but we never heard any activity. If we ever have the opportunity to return to Reykjavik, we will definitely try to stay here.

Lovely friendly small hotel. Beautiful rooms

Fantastic holiday. Breakfast was amazing both in the apartments and in the restaraunt. Only downside was proximity to a pub that tended to make it noisy overnight.

Very nice, very comfy!

Great place to stay in Reykjavik!! Downtown within walking distance of everything, this hotel was the perfect home base to our day-trips out to explore Iceland. The room was very nice and comfy and all the rooms have a little kitchenette.

There breakfast baskets are enough food for two days or enough for breakfast and a light lunch or snack. A nice way to save on the VERY expensive restaurant bills. The only issue we had was that there was almost never the same front desk person on duty two days in a row and the ball was dropped on getting the television fixed and our request to cancel our breakfast basket one day. Otherwise, staff was very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel!!

Fantastically located, meticulously clean.

  • 4 of 5

All the best restaurants and best shops are within minutes of this sweet boutique hotel. Gracious hotel staff, all very proficient in English. Our room was very quiet at night, and the beds were very comfortable, with feather duvets and pillows. They provide an amazing hair dryer, and the water pressure in the shower is very good. Do not expect all the facilities and accoutrements of a five star hotel, because that it is not. However, I am considered a fusspot, and was very happy with our stay.
