Nicely Appointed w/Local Art in 2 Bed/2 Bath Spacious Apt.

June/July 2018 Rentals have been discounted due to planned roof work to start this summer. If your preference is to be at the Beach or pool during the day, then consider staying! Waikoloa boasts sunny days while the views from E304 never cease to amaze. As you enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail from your (381 square feet ) large lanai, you will have great views of the bay and Hualalai Mountain. (another currently dormant volcano) Stay in this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, top floor ocean view unit that is protected by the winds. (This is important as Waikoloa is known for its big winds.)

The Vistas are a most convenient place to stay, without the added costs of resort and parking fees.

This master planned luxury resort has two golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, JR. of which the Vistas is situated next to the Beach Golf Course. Across the street is Aneho'omalu Bay ('A-Bay') located between the Marriott and Hilton Waikoloan Hotels. "Lava Lava" Beach Bar, located across the street, is a fabulous place for a glass of wine or Mai Tai. Sign up for the Dolphin Encounter, Whale Watch Cruises, or stroll the Hilton hotel gardens and take a tram or boat ride.

Our top floor unit has fabulous views of 'A Bay'! A hammock on the lanai is wonderful for a quick nap. The apartment has many original pieces of art-oils and watercolors from local artists, and , many are also available for your purchase.

All the essentials of home are available to you as well, We have a well stocked pantry and essentials not found in your typical rental: bathroom toiletries, plenty of toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish washer tablets, olive oil, salt n pepper, etc.....and much much more! The kitchen includes a brand new oven and dishwasher.

The master bedroom has a king bed, ceiling fan, flat screen t.v and ensuite master bathroom is newly renovated (pictures will be added to the website ) with double bowl sinks, a shower and tub. There are custom merabau wooden sliders to darken the bedroom room for sleeping.

The second bedroom consists of a queen bed, ceiling fan and plenty of drawers for clothes. There are sliders for privacy. The second (renovated) bathroom is just off the entryway hall and has a toilet, wash basin, and shower. There is a large washer and dryer, both of which are front loaders.(unlike many rentals which feature smaller ones that barely wash a single king sheet)

The kitchen is upgraded with new appliances and granite counters. It has all the conveniences of home such as stocked condiments, plenty of laundry detergent, dish washer pellets, etc. No need to shop for these items.

Dining is for 6 persons with seating for 3 at the breakfast bar. A wine refrigerator is operational and available for your use. Living room has large ceilings with a ceiling fan, large flat screen t.v. with cable, DVD player and sound system. Couches both have ottomans for putting your feet up. Decor is tropical and Hawaii-Aina, with many original pieces from local artists, including those from Peter Jefferson who also heads the Kohala PleinAir Artists. His art can also be viewed at the Third Dimension Gallery at the Shops at Mauna Lani. Please fee free to inquire about joining on group on our weekly Friday sessions. We schedule different locations (some are private residences) which keep our artists inspired. For guests needing art supplies, those can also be provided for your use if arranged in advance.

Our lanai has a dining table for your outdoor meals and wet bar as well .

Our complex pool has one of the largest pools- it's a 25 yard salt water lap pool. There are also 2 hot tubs. A good sized exercise room is also on the complex grounds with access possible even in the wee hours if you cannot sleep!

The Vistas had been voted as the best value for your money here on the Kohala Coast. We are a gated community with no fees and free parking. You will feel welcomed and comfortable.

About Peter and Lillian Jefferson

My husband, Peter, and I have owned this unit since 1997, and it has been on the rental market for five full years as we have moved to the Big Island permanently after spending every Christmas and summer here with our two daughters since 1993. We moved from NH and currently reside at Mauna Lani. Currently Peter spends his time at leading the Kohala Pleinair Artists. His art, both oil and watercolors, can be viewed at Third Dimension Gallery at Mauna Lani. Our condo will have some of his artwork displayed along with some of the other local artists.

Location! Location! The Vistas is incredibly convenient and central to everything Waikoloa Resort and the Kohala Coast has to offer. The views from the apartment are incredible. When our family lived on the mainland, we looked forward to our time at the Vistas. It had everything our family needed for a perfect vacation! All the comforts of home as well as perfect weather, amazing beaches, and a great lanai from which to relax!

What makes this condo unique

The Vistas has the convenience of being within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops, and hotels. It is solidly built and you will not hear your neighbors through the walls.(other properties cannot make that claim) It also boasts some of the biggest lanais and a large salt water lap pool. Our home has dedicated wifi as well as long distance telephone service with free calling to the mainland, Canada, and US Territories. This has proved useful to international guests.

Our apartment is perfect, as it is shaded in the morning, while sunsets can be viewed from the lanai.(in the winter months) The lanai gets gentile Kona breezes from the ocean, but is protected from the heavier trade winds that our coast is known for.

We try to make this apartment as comfortable as possible for your stay. Somewhat like your second home, so you should find it well equipped with shampoo, conditioner, beach chairs, condiments. unlike many other bare essential rentals where you are lucky enough to find salt and pepper.

This was the cleanest, most tastefully decorated condo I've ever stayed in! With true " aloha" Lillian welcomed us and gave us a tour of the VIsta Waikoloa property. Even though we have a home on the Big Island, we learned new special tips about places to eat and things to see. The pool was wonderful and my husband took advantage of the workout room. As an added bonus, Peter's glowing watercolors and oils of local scenes are displayed throughout the rooms adding a personal island touch. I'll be recomending Lillian and Peter's unit to my friends. We'll be back !

Waikoloa long weekend

Great place with all the extra things that make a trip to the Big Island special. We've visited Waikoloa several times to enjoy the great snorkeling in the area. Lillian and Peter's apartment is exactly as advertised, well-located and beautifully decorated. Responses to our inquiries were timely with all the information we needed to ensure a great trip. We especially appreciated that the apartment included beach chairs, beach towels, coolers, condiments, shampoo, conditioner, body wash,and a welcome bottle of wine and a bag of coffee. I've stayed in several VRBO condos over the past 10 years. What made this experience special were these little extra hospitality details. Thank you, Lillian and Peter for a great stay in your beautiful place!

A True Five Star

I now know what a true five star really is. Besides being immaculately clean with tasteful and comfortable décor, the kitchen had all necessary items and there were enough incidentals throughout the unit for our full stay. The owner met us to welcome and show us the grounds and there were complementary drinks and other items waiting in the unit. There is really nothing more you could want in a Waikoloa vacation rental, and at a pretty affordable price. I hope to visit again and probably won’t bother looking anywhere else!

Waikoloa excellence

This is good place to stay in the Waikoloa area. It is close to A-Bay, a short walk across the street and down a public access path. There are a couple of grocery stores within short drives. The room is an open concept with a lot of room to spread out if needed. The balcony has a nice large table and chairs to eat out and the hammock is relaxing. The owners are extremely friendly and will give you a personal tour when you check in and really helped make our stay as comfortable as possible and provided personal recommendations for places to see. The biggest negative is the pool which is lap pool and the whirlpool is only open until 9:00 PM, but this is Hawaii and we weren't here for the pool. By staying here you can get easily: up to Mauna Kea, drive to Hawi, and get to/from Kona. I would stay here again.

This is a wonderful location as it almost never rains! Located about 25 minutes drive north of the airport, the island breezes keep you very comfortable. You are in walking distance of both the King's and Queens Shops which offer restaurants and Food Court as well as a upscale ABC Grocery Store. The world class Hapuna Beach, 69 Beach, and Mauna Kea are all but 15 minutes drive with 'A' Bay right across the street.
