About John or Sharon
We love traveling to Hawaii and think it would be an ideal location for a vacation. Every island has unique and varied things to do. We play golf, swim, snorkel, hike to different locations and, of course, eat at all the great restaurants.

Great Place to Vacation with Beautiful Views
Our stay here was wonderful with great views of the golf course and the ocean. The location is ideal, close to good snorkeling and golf. The condo was clean and had anything you might need when away from home. Initially the air conditioner didn't seem to cool enough but later did the job. We really liked that other than the golf course maintenance noises, it was very quiet.
Unit was okay. Miscommunication from the start led to frustration.
MOLD WARNING: The unit located next door to the condo was full of mold, 4 feet up the walls! This is not the fault of the owners, however, if you have allergies, respiratory issues or other health related issues, make sure you verify with HOA management regarding the status of the mold remediation. At the time of my checkout on 10/12/17, cleanup had not been started. The owners stated they were recently made aware once I notified them of it and also stated there is a concrete wall separating units. Mold spores do become airborne however.
With that warning out of the way, the unit was a spacious one bedroom, comfortable for the three people in my party. The Murphy bed was comfortable, but the hide a bed couch was not. Six people in this unit is a strech. The bedroom had air conditioning which was very nice making a few humid nights much more comfortable and slept well on the queen bed.
The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed but the large pot and some silverware were worn and need to be replaced. The dishwasher racks were rusty and the fridge was missing door shelving.
On a personal note, when I inquired about the unit, my one must have item was to have password protected wifi for work. I was told the unit had password protected wifi, however, when I arrived, it did not and caused issues that could have been prevented. The owner stated he thought the unit had a password. If I had been notified correctly, I would have passed on the unit.
The incorrect info started a frustrating chain of events as the owners were also in process of selling the unit and I agreed to allow an inspector in that took over 2 hours, with an unannounced mandatory cable upgrade the next morning that took another 30 minutes.
On my 5th day, I went grocery shopping in the morning and that evening, thousands of tiny red ants were all over the counter. I had to throw away 3 unopened packages of bakery items. I notified the owners of the ants and other issues at that point, I was very disappointed. The owner stated that was part of being in a tropical climate and I should put my items in the fridge. There was no suggestion or offer on how to get rid of them. I was told the HOA sprays and they have never had this problem.
The unit was fine enough and I understand that I may have just had a rare poor experience that started on the wrong foot, but I still have my concerns. Out of the 4 other Kona units I have stayed, I would pick this last.
It is very unfortunate that this renter had such a poor experience in our piece of paradise in Kona. Regarding the mold that was identified in a unit near ours, it has been eradicated and the refurbishment is near complete. With regard to the password protection, we were with the understanding, that by initiating the internet that it was already password protected. The problem has now been fixed and there is a password required for internet usage. Lastly, the renter had concerns of the ants that collected on the counter where there was exposed grocery items. Unfortunately, this is the nature of living in a tropical climate.
Our reviews for our condo have been exceptional to this point. We are very sorry there was miscommunication of this renters identified problems. We do our best to make all of our renters enjoy the advantages of living in a recreational, relaxing area.
Everything you need for a perfect stay
The view and the extras made this stay excellent. Sunsets were excellent, and everything you needed to enjoy the beach was provided for use: Chairs, umbrellas, towels, and even coolers! The A/C unit in the bedroom didn't work correctly the first night, but some quick duct taping to seal the exhaust of hot air allowed it to cool the room the rest of the week in around 45 minutes. It was very homey, and the full kitchen allows you to cook your own meals if you like. Plenty of room with a huge living room and 2 bathrooms, as well as a washer/dryer. The location can't be beat, as it's close to snorkeling and many excellent beaches. I would stay here again with no hesitation, and appreciate the owners' hospitality.
We are so excited and happy that you enjoyed "our little piece of paradise" in Kona. Come back and see us!!
We had absolute peace and bliss. My sister and I went and spent many hours on the wonderful lanai drinking coffee or wine in a very quite atmosphere with a beautiful view. Nice clean and comfortable condo on ground floor so we got to enjoy all the birds that came to visit on the little lawn in front of us. Easy to find and easy to get into as we went touring during the day. Just wonderful and will recommend it to all my family and friends
We are so happy you enjoyed our little piece of paradise. Thank you for the kind comments and hope you can enjoy yourself again in Hawaii at our place,

Nice location. Good view. Pleasant overall.
It is an older condo but clean and well kept. We don't usually like bottom floor condos but this one surprised us. It has a very nice view of the golf course with water view. Very quiet and serene. Loved watching and listening to the birds.
Nice, quiet and convenient place
This is a great place to spend a month in an affordable manner. Pool is clean and well maintained. The condo itself is older, but all the appliances work and the furniture is comfortable.
