About Jim O'Malley
Hi, welcome to our home away from home. Our condo is 25 miles from our house so we use this condo regularly in the summer time. Our son grew up playing on the private beach in the back of the condo. Amazing location-close to restaurants, both intercoastal and Gulf of Mexico! Lots of great memories. Come share the fun with our family.
Jim O'Malley purchased this Condo in 2004
Why Jim O'Malley chose Treasure Island
If your looking for a smaller building with lots of charm and comfort, we are the place for you. We love the ability to hang underneath the building while enjoying the view of the water in the shade, diving off the dock or walking across the street to the Gulf of Mexico.

Perfect size and location
This condo is in the perfect location and worked well for our stay. We came to the area for a wedding and this condo was minutes from all the wedding festivities. Great restaurants and bars all within walking distance in either direction. A nice beach is right across the street. The condo backs up to a bay, which provided gorgeous views. We saw dolphins and stingrays a few times while out on the back decks. The condo itself is somewhat dated but completely functional. It’s also spacious. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are in good shape. The kitchen has everything you need. The master bedroom and bath are beautiful. Based on other reviews, we knew about the spiral staircase to get up to the second floor. It is somewhat of a challenge getting the suitcases up the stairs but that is really the only negative. The owner, Jim, was very easy to work with. We would stay again!
Great location across the street from the Gulf
Great place to stay with the family!
Awesome, highly recommend!
The property was great! Everyone in the other units was incredibly friendly. Jim was super helpful with giving us some good places to go and we were able to walk to anything: resturaunts, bars, grocery, etc. Highly recommend!
The property was beautiful!
Our stay was amazing! I was there for my daughter's wedding which was a little hectic but I wish I could of stayed longer to enjoy more time just relaxing. We had a lot of relatives stop by and they fell in love with the property. It was spacious and decorated very nicely. The view was amazing! We didn't even go out to eat because everything we needed was there. I wanted to enjoy every moment we could. The owner Jim was awesome. Just a genuinely nice guy. The other people that were long term renters were also very nice and welcoming. Another couple of positives were it was directly across from beach access and you could walk to restaurants and bars if you chose to. I hope to visit again soon when I have no other commitments but to relax!
Shabby, not Chic
When you walk up 2 flights of stairs to this 3rd floor walk up, to what use to be a white front screen door of the place you will be vacationing for 30 days and it is totally rusted and dirty you have a sinking feeling but still hope. Hope is lost when you walk inside. It doesn't get better. So many disappointments you are numb. We complained to our host Jim. He was pleasant and tried his best to remedy our complaints. Brought new pillows, some were old & stained. Changed filter for the HVAC. We thought it was dirty but it was the grate cover that was dirty & rusted.
He tried to accommodate us but years of neglect & aging couldn't be remedied by a cheerful & apologetic host. Most things were dingy, needed cleaning or just plain shabby. Chunks of woven rattan were peeled away on the sofa arms leaving gaping white holes and clumps of resin where repairs were unsuccessful. The chair was worn and close to threadbare. Bed linens were old dingy & stained. Kitchen accessories were mostly the same. Appliance s were very old... Dishwasher didn't clean, refrigerator leaked and note from host revealed we couldn't put anything in the back part of the fridge without it freezing. He was right. Door handles to fridge & freezer (broken ice maker) were missing with a boat cleat & a fat knotted rope used as replacements. Oven was dirty. And the list goes on for 4 more pages & 15+ photos.
There were some bright spots... Location was great. 1st floor bathroom was beautiful, my favorite room in the unit. The view was fantastic from the decks with beautiful sunrises on most days. Dining area had a nice round table with seating for 5. If those things are at the top of your priority list, this unit should be on your short list... Otherwise use caution.
I'm so sorry we didnt have the Four Seasons 5 star accommadations you are used to staying at-although reading some of your other reviews from your other stays I am not surprised. Some of your noted issues are valid and for those reading this I won't argue. The unit does take some beating from families and I don't replace doors and carpet every season or I would have to charge Four Season rates. For those potential renters- If you are looking for perfection this unit is not for you however if you are looking for a value and a great location with some imperfections and can stand it please bring the family and enjoy. Cheers!
hope to return next year~!
