Single Room, Shared Bathroom
A real inn in the capital city
A real inn, rooms with wooden floor, a maze of rooms along three houses connected. Some with private bathroom others to share. If you don't mind walking through the restaurant every night and prefer a small nice and particular room the place is perfect for you.
The Tabard Inn has a fantastic restaurant and warm and welcoming staff. The Inn is very old and it is quirky. It is a lovely place but you have to be open to an older establishment that has not upgraded. I recommend.
One-of-a-kind hotel in desirable neighborhood
I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff is friendly and truly happy to help. This is a very unique hotel - lots of ins-and-outs, eclectic wall decorations, and charming room interiors. No television in the room. Good respite from the day's activities. Great to have an on-site restaurant. The staff is outstanding, and service comes with a smile. Needless to say, the food is delicious and in large quantities. Best thing - my stay came with a $15 coupon/day good towards the purchase of food or drinks. It was Jazz Night my first night there. It was very nice to hear live music while relaxing in the lobby. The hotel mascot is a wonderfully sweet and mellow dog. He just added to the hotel's charm.
One night stay at the Tabard Inn
I enjoyed my stay at the Tabard Inn. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was perfect. After traveling a long distance the room was amazing.
Nice deal for D.C
This Inn was perfect for my needs and it was very reasonably priced.

Vintage Boutique Hotel and Art Gallery
My stay at the Tabard Inn was a wonderful experience. The hotel has eclectic art work in the entry and stairwells, turn of the century furniture, homespun carpets, I felt like I was staying at a one of the many mansions on Dupont. circle. The staff were engaging and friendly, front desk, hotel managers, the door attendants and servers they all did their best to make your stay enjoyable. In addition you could not ask for a better location then Dupont Cirlcle safe, convenient with plenty of entertainment. I had dinner in the restaurant the wild mushroom ravioli was exquisite paired with a beet & orange salad and every morning a delicious and wholesome breakfast. Even the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and towels were of quality. The music on the sound system paired the elegance of the hotel, jazz and classical. In the evening a jazz guitarist and singer entertained guests.
I really liked DC and so pleased to find a home away from home. My only regret is that my stay of 4 nights should have been at least 5 or 6 nights so much to see in DC and surroundings.
What a wonderful review!!! Thank you for your appreciation. I will be sharing this feedback with the staff.
