Stay in a historic 1916 Craftsman in the vibrant Green Lake neighborhood of Seattle. This unique one bedroom unit is a garden apartment, with plenty of windows that allow for lots of daylight, even when it is raining. It offers a warm or cool home away from home as you explore the Puget Sound area or visit family or friends in Seattle.
The garden is maintained for year round color and vibrancy. The two Adirondack chairs in the front yard can be enjoyed when Seattle's liquid sunshine takes a break. At the same time you are welcome to enjoy your dinner on the back patio.
Or take a picnic to Green Lake park. The house is located within blocks of the North Green Lake hub of businesses, restaurants, and cafes. And only a few walkable blocks from the Lake, one of Seattle's public libraries and the Seattle bathhouse theater.
The unit is amply supplied with things to make this your home away from home. A full sized kitchen with all the appliances and utensils you need to cook dinner or make breakfast. There is a burr grinder next to the coffee pot for you to bring your own coffee beans, or buy some local roast to brew during your stay.
The bedroom sleeps two comfortably on a queen-sized mattress. Out in the living room there is room for a twin sized air mattress (supplied) if you have three in your party. More than that and the apartment will be too crowded.
Laundry facilities are available on site and easily accessed from the apartment.
A blue-ray DVD player, HDTV and cable channels are available for your entertainment, as well as some board games or if the owners are home we welcome a chance to get to know you over a beverage.
There is plenty of free and safe parking on the street if you have a car and the unit is only a few blocks from several bus routes.
One block from the house is bus route 26 where the southbound bus will take you through the Wallingford neighborhood to Seattle Center (home of the famous Space Needle) then to downtown Seattle and ends at the ferry terminal - northbound to North Seattle College and Northgate mall. If you are here on business the 316 express bus gets you downtown during morning rush hours in 20 minutes!
Three blocks from the house you can catch the 45 to the University of Washington or to the new University Link light rail station. You can also catch the 62, which goes east to Magnuson park and the NOAA campus or south through the neighborhoods to downtown.
Seattle Pacific University at 4 miles from the unit is a short 10-minute drive away.
If you are missing something just knock on the door upstairs and I will see if I have it. Since the duplex is owner occupied, you have an instant neighbor to call on if you have any questions or needs.
This is a NON-SMOKING unit. NO SMOKING is allowed on the premises.
This unit strives to be free of all synthetic fragrances and allergen free (although we do have cats upstairs). Candles, incense, air fresheners or any other synthetic fragrance are not welcome in the apartment at any time. A hepa-filter vacuum is located in the unit.
You are welcome to open the windows at any time. :)
MINIMUM STAY 3 days except Thanksgiving and Christmas (7 day minimum) For shorter stays I recommend the Green Lake Guest House. It is a beautiful BnB and only a few blocks away from my unit.
MONTHLY RATE posted - EMAIL OWNER if you are renting more than 1 month.
CLEANING FEE is waived but guest is still required to be respectful of house cleanliness rules.
