This is the home you’d imagine if you were to close your eyes and think of the perfumes of the countryside; of freshly cut grass. Melissa is large, light and luminous: the beautiful white staircase is like a wing which separates the relaxing areas from the dining room, where one can sit around the large table or spend late-nights chatting in front of the fireplace. There are two double bedrooms, two bathrooms as well as a welcoming attic, which can accommodate another one person.
Two double bedrooms are located upstairs and a third room with single bed and a sofa bed, located in the attic.
Melissa has two bathrooms: on ground floor there is a small bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
On the first floor a bathroom covered in mosaic with shower, double sink, toilet, bidet and hair dryer.
The kitchen, fully equipped, is located on the ground floor and is adjacent to the dining area.
A large living room is furnished with sofa, armchairs and a table for 8 people.

Our ideas....: One can take advantage of the silence or create something different each day:
Pedal along the banks of the Serchio River, in the close vicinity of the Park on the River or across the hills on a mountain bike to the sea.
Reach Lucca’s historic centre in 5 minutes, situated in the tree-lined street of the ancient walls,
Visit Lucca’s Villas: splendid architectural witnesses of the nobility of the 1500”s
Explore the outskirts: the Coast of Versilia and the mountains of the Garfagnana, which are half an hour away by car, The “Cinque Terre” approx 50km.
Reach the important cities of Tuscany: Florence, Pisa and Siena.
Visit the markets: antique and arts and crafts, the 3rd and 4th weekend of every month, the traveling market every Wednesday and Saturday.“La Strada del Vino” (the “wine tasting” road): the road for food and wine tasting connoisseurship for agricultural businesses of Lucca’s hills, local wine and oil tasting.
Our ideas....: Opera: Giacomo Puccini was born right here! There are many opportunities and occasions during the year to listen to the masterpieces of the famous musician.
Summer Festival: A summer release of live concerts of international artists in the historic Napoleon Square.
The” Lucca” September: a month of cultural events, both religious and folklore. The 13th of September is not be missed: the entire city accompanies the “Saint Volto” in an atmospheric and charming procession along the streets of the historic centre.
Murabilia: a market/exhibition of mostly rare plants and flowers, held annually in the month of September on one of the most beautiful bulwark of the cities walls. Enriched by presentations, closer examinations and competitions regarding interesting themes in this sector.
The Feast Day of Saint Zita: a beautiful floral market in the Amphitheatre Square, in memory of the patron saint of the city. Held during the week of 27th April.
I just wanted to send a little note, from all of us, to say a big THANK
YOU. We are now back in a grey and cloudy London. If you ever visit let us
Encantea is simply stunning and really was the perfect place to stay for
us. The gardens, grounds and house are kept so beautifully and the
accommodation was absolutely perfect. We loved the decoration, comfort,
everything provided (we didn't even need the TV!) and the wonderful gazebo
by the pool was a welcome relief from the hot sunshine. Melissa is
absolutely brilliant. The whole Tuscan countryside is so appealing that
everywhere we looked we just couldn't stop!
Thank you so much for all your help, your recommendations, the towels and
everything that we would love to come back to Melissa next year.
Auguri e grazie per la festa!
We had a lovely week at Encantea. Giovanna was so helpful with directions and recommendations and made our visit very easy. My husband and I with our teenage daughters and my sister stayed in the Melissa unit. The property is just as the pictures show and we spent late afternoons floating in the beautiful saltwater pool. Lucca is a charming town easily accessible from the property and it is also easy to make day trips around Tuscany. We highly recommend the property and it's lovely owners.
If you're looking for a luxury stay in beautiful grounds then this is an ideal property. Within walking distance to Lucca. We will be staying here again in the future.
We arrived on Oct 2nd. 2015 for a 5 night stay at the Melissa property and were warmly greeted by Giovanna. She stayed with us for over an hour answering all our questions and giving suggestions on where to go and where to eat. The place was as advertised , well maintained and spotless. Giovanna was always available to help and I would definitly return to Melissa in the future.....................Thank You GIovanna for your wonderfull place and great hospitality.
The owner was there to meet us, to go through the property and information about what you were aloud to use.
The property was okay, not excellent, the shower door was broken, some of the crockery was chipped, towels were poor quality.
We didn't feel comfortable about the idea that the owner was always around and putting things back, like when you finished using the sunbeds and we didn't put them back where they should be, the owner did, we have a holiday to relax.
We think that gardening could be done in the morning or in the evening, when there is no one around.
It would have been nice to have had a welcome pack, just basics.
Equipment and linens were poor quality.
Villa was clean.
At the time we had the villa (25th September to 2nd October) was very noisy, there was a fun fair in the area, and also a factory down the road which started at 5 in the morning, there is also a road that passes by the property, which we thought would be quite, but was not, it was very noisy, first thing in the morning.
We was treated to a fireworks display, to celebrate some Saint, sorry don't know which one, lasted for about forty minutes, quite impressive.
We would rate this property a three star.
Encantea is a lovely place to stay. The apartment 'Melissa' is spacious and very comfortable, tastefully furnished and very well equipped. We stayed here for the second time with a family of 6. You can enjoy your meals outside with plenty of privacy. The beautiful pool and spacious garden are an oasis of calm. The location is just perfect: near Lucca center and only a half hour drive from the beach (Marina di Vecchiano, an absolute must!). And thanks to the personal attention and loving care of Francesco and Giovanna 'Encantea' really feels like home. We hope to come back someday!
The Melissa was everything that we expected and more. The setting was lovely, the pool relaxing with beautiful gardens. The apartment was really nice and clean. Anything we wanted to know about the area was answered by the owners who were really nice. Would recommend this to anybody. Good value for money. Thought lucca and surrounding area were lovely.
