This a two story frame home built in 2000 and remodeled in 2012. It has three bedrooms, with a new queen size bed and mattress in each bedroom. There are two baths . There is Direct TV upstairs and down with a DVD player for each and there is also WiFi. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and gas oven. There is a charcoal grill behind the house & a picnic table down by the stream, shaded by aspen & pine trees.

About Ted Lively

Ted and Laneta Lively are both from Wichita Falls, TX. Ted is an insurance salesman and Laneta is a school teacher. Laneta's family has been coming to Lake San Isabel for over 60 years. The family has always loved the peace and tranquility of this area. Laneta's grandparents first purchased a cabin here around 1960.

Why Ted Lively chose Southeast

In 2008, we completely rebuilt the family home and in 2012 purchased the house next door, just to rent out and to have and share with family and friends. This house was built in 2000, by Laneta's cousin but never finished. We completely updated it inside and out in 2011.

What makes this house unique

This house is located off of Hwy 165, across from Lake San Isabel, on a dead end road. So, it is always quiet, which encourages having abundant wildlife. From the back deck, you will be amazed at all the hummingbirds, chipmunks, deer, magpies, finches, stellar jays, just to name a few. The house is an easy five minute walk from the lake, that is stocked with rainbow trout and salmon by the state of CO. Fishing supplies and licenses are sold at the restaurant, which you walk right by to get to the lake. The house has a water well with very clean, 'DRINKABLE' water. Just listening to the small creek behind the house and observing the wildlife is the best medicine.

San Isabel is located in South Central Colorado and near a variety of tourist attractions. The San Isabel National Forest is an ideal place for picnicking, fishing, and hiking. A trip up nearby Greenhorn Mountain, at 12,500 ft., offers a splendid view of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. Within walking distance from the cabin you will find Lake San Isabel. It is open year round and stocked by the Colorado State Department of Wildlife. Another treasure hidden in the Wet Mountains is Bishop’s Castle, built by Jim Bishop. The huge stone and iron castle, complete with a smoking dragon, is an intriguing side trip from San Isabel. (Approx 10 min drive from Isabel) Westcliffe is a forty-five minute drive including a bowling alley, movie theatre, summer concerts and festivals, specialty shops, and a variety of dining options. Within ninety minutes is Colorado Springs which is home to the Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Olympic Training Center, and the US Air Force Academy.

We are also located just minutes away from the Christianson Brush Canyon Ranch (which offers a wedding venue.)
