Overview

About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, one sleeper sofa (Sleeps 8)

The cabin has a large modern kitchen with slate floors, wine refrigerator, and all the amenities. The dining room table expands to seat eight.

The great room living room is carpeted with a propane fireplace, TV with Dishnetwork and Showtime, stereo, couch and two love seats.

The master bedroom is spacious with a sliding glass door out to the second story deck with a view of the mountains. It has its own bathroom with two vanities and slate floors. Bedroom No. 2 also has a sliding glass door onto the deck. Bedroom No. 3 is also large. All the beds are queen size with memory foam toppers. The leather couch in the living room pulls out into a double bed sleeper sofa.

The main bathroom is huge with a slate floor and tub and shower.

There are two decks, one off the great room with a BBQ and plenty of chairs for lounging and enjoying the view. Stairs lead down to the campfire pit area. The second deck is off the two upstairs bedrooms, also with comfy chairs to relax in and enjoy the trees all around. We have a six person hot tub, and a sauna large enough for 3 to 4.

The gated community of Snowline has a clubhouse with WIFI, basketball court, tennis court, pickleball court, playground for the kids, and a small lake where kids can fish. It is a very safe community, with on-site manager who patrols the area throughout the day and night. There are hiking trails within a short distance of the cabin. The roads in Snowline are paved and perfect for kids to ride bikes.

And, we are only 15 miles from Mt. Baker Ski area!

We do everything we can to keep fast, reliable internet service. Technology being what it is, occasionally the wifi wil go down, although that usually only happens once or twice a year. There is also wifi at the Snowline Community Club house, which is less than 1/2 miles from the cabin.

Pack-and-Play and high chair available for a small fee when requested ahead of time.

About Owner/manager

We are lifelong Snohomish County, Washington residents, where we raised our son and daughter. We have always spent our time outside, either skiing, hiking, boating, or cycling. We love Washington and all the outdoor activities.

Owner/manager purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Owner/manager chose Northwest & Islands

We skiied at Mt. Baker for years before we purchased our cabin. So we knew how incredible the skiing is, and how short the lift lines are! We thought we were purchasing a ski/snowboard cabin, but we enjoy the hiking and biking and the beautiful spring, summer and fall mountains just as much.

What makes this cabin unique

Our cabin is special because it is big enough for our family and their friends all at one time. The outside deck is a favorite for parties and BBQ's both in the summer and winter. The firepit is nice, because everyone loves a campfire, both young and old. And relaxing in the sauna or hot tub after all the outdoor activities Mt. Baker has to offer is a great way to end the day.

Wonderful home for a family vacation.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin had awesome indoor and outdoor space. Bedrooms and bathrooms are generous. Loved cooking in the kitchen and at the BBQ. The kids thought the pool was great. Beautiful area with nice walks. Lots to explore in close proximity. Must be glorious in the winter!

Awesome cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This is an awesome cabin. It is well decorated and has everything you need. The owners are very nice people. The hot tub outside is great, especially with the lights on at night. The sauna is also really nice and a great addition to the house. We loved the two decks and enjoyed the BBQ outside. The three bedrooms are large and very comfortable. The bedrooms are all about the same size and it really doesn't matter which one you choose, they are all cool in their own way. The internet worked well and was a nice touch since there is no cell service in the area. The backyard has a lovely campfire area with plenty of seating for everyone. The living room is super nice and there is a big flat screen TV to watch movies. It's just a short walk to a large pool, a horseshoe pit, and a nice playground for the kids. We stayed in the summer and it was great, but I imagine this would be the perfect cabin to come home to after a long day on the slopes! There is even a snowboard/ski rack on the front porch to put your gear. I would highly recommend staying here!

we will come back

  • 5 of 5

It is our second time staying in the lodge. Everything that you will think you like for vacation is there. Spacious house, sauna, hot tub, swimming pool, grill, wifi, comfy seating area for a big group downstairs. Very friendly community with a heated swimming pool and playing areas for kids. A few grocery stores in 5-10 minutes distance, in case you forgot something. House is very good equipped if you are up for cooking. Sharon was very accommodating and gave us a call to make sure everything is OK. Our family plans to return the next year as well.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us.

We had a wonderful time visiting with our family.

Great cabin for a summer getaway, we played in the snow on Mt Baker

in the morning and went swimming in the afternoon at the pool.

Very comfortable cabin with great decor.

We had a great time at Big Buck Lodge. The house itself was very comfortable and spacious. And I really appreciated the responsiveness of the owners when I inadvertently locked my purse in the house while checking out :)

Great cabin

  • 4 of 5

We had a very good time at this cabin. It's a short walk from Chair 9 and a little drive from Mt. Baker. The hot tub and the sauna are both awesome after a day out on the slopes. This place comfortably fit 8.

Mt. Baker is a world-class destination for skiing and snowboarding. Many Europeans choose to ski and ride Mt. Baker. In the summertime the hiking, mountain climbing, and biking - both mountain and road - is just as spectacular. We have been on at least 10 different hikes where the beauty takes your breath away. And there are plenty of logging roads and trails for mountain biking. The beautiful 17 mile ride up to Artist Point is very popular with road cyclists. The Ride 542 competition in September draws lots of cyclists. The nightlife in Glacier is typical of a resort town, where the skiiers and boarders, hikers and mountain bikers gather to share stories. Be sure to stop at Mt. Baker Winery on the way up for some tastings of excellent wine.
