Lovely stay, definitely worth the ratings
Really love this little charming hotel to bits. It is really worth the high ratings. The location is about a 8-10 mins walk from the main train station. Straight forward walk that brings you through multiple Chinese restaurants and a day market. Smack beside Basilica San Lorenzo, it is easy to miss the hotel as it is basically an Inn and does not have the typical hotel entrance. Once inside, greeted by a staff who welcomes me warmly. Note that the staff worked here 9am to 9pm. Checking in and out from this time range means nobody is going to check-in/out for you. Security of the hotel is via key card and main doors locked when the staff are out.
Room wise, it is new, nicely decorated, big and adequate. Design of the room is a bit of contemporary with tinge of artistic feel to it. My room overlooks the busy Basilica square, it is crowded but not noisy. Great view when the sun sets (ask for a Basilica facing room). Amenities to the room is also good. Working aircon (very cold in fact), consistent warm water and free flow of bottled water.
Outside of the room, there are long corridors that are designed with some modern art pieces. There is also a nice outdoor area for smoking or just chillax.
The only downside of this hotel is probably the lack of a bar or a cafe runs by it own. Otherwise, it is almost perfect.
Great Hotel, close to the action
Great hotel, close to the action, but be careful that there are restrictions about driving to the hotel. I suggest you catch a taxi to the hotel.
Funky, cool hotel with fantastic location
No sign, hard to find but hidden gem! Right across from San Lorenzo basilica and short walk to everything. Very quiet at night. Not a typical hotel e.g. No real lobby or other facilities. Our stay included breakfast at a delicious cafe down the street. Would highly recommend.
Adorable hotel in the heart of Florence
Less than a ten minute walk from Santa Maria Novella station (arrival point by train from Pisa Airport), this is a gem of a hotel. Our room looked out over Piazza San Lorenzo, a beautiful sight - and the evening of our arrival were treated to a string ensemble playing classical music on the steps of Basillica San Lorenzo.
On our first evening we went looking for an ATM before going for dinner, walked a couple of hundred metres down the road, turned a corner and were suddenly presented with the breathtaking view of Santa Maria Dei Fiore (home of Duomo). Staggering, and it really hit home how central we were.
The hotel is unique, with so much thought having been put into the decor. The rooms are adorned with uplifting slogans and artwork, such as "The best thing about memories is making them - always travel".
Such a comfortable place to stay. Great staff, so friendly. Everything was made so easy for the guests.
We will be back!
Excellent Location, Unique Style
Booked this place last minute before heading to Florence for the first time. The location was only a 15 minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Train Station, and is located in a square with a really old church where all of the Medici family is buried. The square there and the surrounding streets are alive with activity all day, and during the night which is nice when you're walking around so you feel very safe. Just a block's walk away is the famous Duomo church. The windows are thick and keep the noise out at night though, so don't worry about that. The entrance to the hotel is a bit hidden in a building where there was also art exhibits I think.
The staff was extremely welcoming, spoke English well, and were super kind. The room was very clean and lovely to stay in. The hotel in general had a lot of cute areas including an interior courtyard and little spots with books and chairs. It had such a nice vibe and was really a great deal for the amount we paid.
The breakfast included was at a restaurant down the street (<1 minute walk), and was extremely good.
Un hotel centrico
Cuatro noches en este hotel, pequeño, céntrico, con unas habitaciones muy confortables amplias con vistas a San Lorenzo y un baño grande y moderno. Un acierto.
