A Quiet Place in Busy Kailua-Kona

  • 3 of 5

The unit was as advertised, quiet, comfortable and uncrowded. The unit was well equipped with all utensils and well stocked with reading material. Sunsets were glorious and during our stay we saw no one using the pool. Laundry facilities on the property are convenient and again, uncrowded.

The unit was very comfortable and convenient to the town. Finding the entrance took some doing on our arrival - a dark rainy night - but after that getting around was a snap. Our sole complaints are that 1. The unit needs some up dating especially the mattress. 2. The water in the shower doesn't seem to get much hotter than "warm". Other than that we would stay here again.

Beautiful view and waves, waves, waves describes it perfectly!

  • 5 of 5

A great place to be. Sat on the Lanai and watched the waves and boats early morning. Saw lots of Canoes, fishing boats and the cruise ships. We kept pretty busy so mostly we enjoyed the mornings. This Island even though it's the "Big Island" we could get anywhere in a couple of hours. Didn't even turn on the TV until the last night, mostly sat and listened to the waves. Quiet area, hardly saw the other guests, beautiful sunsets. Just as advertised. The one small problem we had Kathie got it taken care of right away. Don't forget to check out all the stuff in the closet. We didn't realize the binoculars were there until the last day(they were in plain site on the shelf) beach chairs, coolers etc. Would go back over and over, not sure I can get my Husband that far from home again but he also loved it.

We did the Helicopter tour fire and falls out of Hilo, the Volcano night time tour, zip lining at Akaka Falls, snorkeling at a few different beaches and just driving and stopping when we wanted. Saw the painted church, the national parks, black sand beach, sea turtles etc. On our last day we went to the Chocolate farm (Original Hawaii Chocolate factory) it was really interesting and very informative. My Grandson is fascinated with the pictures of the pods growing right on the trunk and limbs of the tree. Just driving around you see beautiful vistas, so glad we went.

pleasant stay in kona

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed our 4 nights here.Plenty of utensils, plates ,etc in kitchen.C omfortable king bed, extra sink in bedroom very handy, well appointed bathroom-nice shower. Plenty of accessories- beach chairs, towels, cooler, etc for beach. Great ocean view, nice lanai with chairs and table- just be careful it's not completely private ,people in other unit can walk by. Good fan system-unit was hot when we got there but ran AC for a while and never had to use again. Central location- Kailua to north and several beaches to the south. Enjoyed Quinn's for dinner.Fairly quiet though in AM noise carries if you have bedroom windows open. Parking for unit is a little tight , especially if you have a big vehicle. Clean, kept up well-would stay again .

A good value with a beautiful view

  • 4 of 5

This unit is a good value with an outstanding view which is exactly as in the photo. It's directly oceanfront with a beautiful sunset. It's comfortably furnished and has everything you would need for a relaxed vacation. It was clean and the kitchen was recently renewed. The pool area is well cared for and has recently been refreshed and was very quiet when we were there. Overall this small group of condos is quiet and located within minutes of the historic town of Kona with it's waterfront restaurants. Target, Wal Mart and Costco, etc. and other good grocery stores are nearby. It's close to the airport, too, which we find convenient.

We like to explore and the Big Island has so much to offer with historic sites, Volcano National Park, beautiful coastal drives, coffee plantations, black and white sand beaches, every water sport, and more. We ate lunch and dinner out everyday and found the food to be very good and generally not overpriced unless you choose something more upscale. Of course there's the wonderful Kona coffee and don't miss the Greenwell Farms coffee plantation tour. You'll learn a lot about the production of coffee and find and out why Kona is one of the premiere coffees of the world.

The owner, Kathie, is very reasonable to deal with.

Beautiful oceanfront condo

  • 5 of 5

We stayed there for 5 nights the first part of a 16 day trip to the Big Island. We found the unit well stocked, very clean, with a wonderful location. We liked that it was a small property. We met most of the other guests down at the pool/bbq area. Everyone was so friendly. We had never stayed at a place to close to the water. In the evenings we could see turtles almost every night. Will gladly return to this complex first chance we get!

SUNSETS WERE MAGNIFICENT FROM LANAI!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this condo. We were there during a rowing competition and we watched them row from our lanai - it was amazing! Sunset views were spectacular. Wave sounds were great. Condo was very clean and everything working. Kathie sent us a list of "Must do" items that was helpful.
