An absolute Treasure in the Heart of Rome

  • 5 of 5

The property is breathtaking! So Cozy, and equipped with all the little extras.. The space has cathedral ceilings and is tastefully decorated and restructured. My partner and I have stayed in luxury apartments all over the world and this is surely one of our favorites. It is immersed in the center and the owner, Phoebe, gave us amazing local spots to eat and have drinks. I'd recommend this property to really anyone traveling to Rome. A meticulously clean, sun-lit treasure - one can't ask for more!

Authentic Italian apartment in FANTASTIC location!

  • 4 of 5

Location! Location! Location! It doesn't get better than this! The apartment is truly perfectly situated! It is beautifully furnished and the kitchen has everything one needs to cook a gourmet meal. The apartment is as beautiful as you see in the photos but one thing that isn't obvious in the pictures is the very low ceiling in the loft bedroom above the kitchen. We are a family of 6 with three girls and one boy. We planned to put the girls in the bedroom with two beds, our son on the day bed and my husband and I in the loft. Unfortunately, even I at 5' 5" had to bend over not to hit my head on the beams in the loft, so my 6'4" husband said there was no way he was risking a concussion staying there. My son took the loft and we stayed in the living room. The daybed isn't quite a double. It's more like a twin and a half. My husband took that and I slept on the couch. We were both comfortable but had we known about the low ceiling of the loft, we may have looked elsewhere. If you don't care about low ceilings or your family/guest configuration can tolerate low ceilings, the loft with no door was pretty and comfortable. The owners live in the building and we found it odd that they came in the apartment while we were out. We were stunned when Phoebe reprimanded us for leaving on the AC while we were out. We read all the directions and nothing was said about turning off the AC before leaving. We assumed it was on a thermostat. After being gone all day, we were greeted by Phoebe on our way back in. She was not happy that we left on the AC and some lights. She entered the apartment, turned all of it off and told us we must not do that again! We apologized and she softened by the end of the conversation. Still, it perplexed us that she came down so hard when there were no instructions about being sure AC was off when leaving. Because she wanted the AC off, I made an allowance that she entered while we were gone. That said, Phoebe came in the apartment one other time while we were out. She left our deposit in the kitchen two days before checking out. This could have just as easily been slipped under the door, or waited until our return so she could inspect. One other time I was sitting in the living room and Magnus, her husband, walked in to our apartment without knocking. He was nice and said he didn't realize we were there, but I could have been naked! When I rent, I prefer owners don't enter, especially three times! Place was very nice but...

We had a great experience in Rome in this wonderful apartment just minutes from all the best sites! Phoebe was very accommodating and helped us find our way! The apartment itself was nicely furnished and comfortable for 6 people. We had our toddler son with us and there was a pack and play for him too! If you are looking for a super location with a wonderful person to work with, give this apartment a try!

From the moment we saw photos of this apartment we were captivated! But it was after we talked to the owner Phoebe that we were sold. She was honest, warm and seemed to know exactly what we were looking for. When she said it was the perfect location she wasn't kidding. It was truly in the heart of it all. Phoebe greeted us with wine and anitpasto and made us feel right at home from the beginning and set us up with the best possible tour guide imaginable!! We stayed comfortably for 3 nights in this stylish apartment with 2 families (8 people total) and got a real feeling of life in Rome. We would definately stay here again. Only problem was it was not long enough. Grazie Phoebe for your graciousness!!

This apartment made our Christmas in Rome fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful apartment, eclectically decorated with antiques, was the "frosting on the cake" for our family Christmas in Rome. It easily accommodated the 5 adults (husband and myself, adult son, daughter and daughter's husband) in our party. Although, all the sleeping areas are not completely private, it was still perfect for our family. The big kitchen allowed us to fix breakfast each morning and happy hour snacks in the evening (we were out for lunch and dinner). We gathered (with friend that were staying in a hotel near by) in the very large living room for happy hour before going out each evening and to open stockings on Christmas morning. The location was perfect--just a couple blocks across the river from the Vatican/St Peter's and an easy walk to Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori. Phoebe (owner) was full of good information about Rome and a very bubbly, warm hostess. We would be thrilled to have the opportunity to stay here again and highly recommend this apartment to families visiting Rome.
