Beautiful 6 bedroom, 7.5 bath home at 14th on Sea Island Drive w/ Pool and Spa
Originally designed by Francis Abreu and built in 1936, Cottage 76 has been recently restored and expanded with a thoughtful, integrated design by Jack Davis to become one of Sea Island’s finest retreats. This ground-up renovation and expansion retains the original charm of old Sea Island coupled with modern conveniences and easy living. Cottage 76 is located on 14th Street and Sea Island Drive, steps from the beach (third row, beach side) and a short walk or bike ride to Sea Island’s world-class amenities including the Sea Island Beach Club, Cloister Hotel, Spa and Fitness Center and Tennis facilities. Families familiar with this location seek it out year after year because it is close enough to be convenient, but just far enough to be out of the fray on popular weekends.
Features. Cottage 76 was redesigned to accommodate large families, multiple families, extended families or small groups and provides comfortable space and privacy with the ability to gather or dine together in the main family room. The home centers around a giant 300+ year-old Live Oak tree in a courtyard that provides a canopy to envelop the whole house. Cottage 76 features a grand family room designed for entertaining with a historic chandelier from the old Cloister Hotel serving as the centerpiece of the room’s vaulted ceiling. The large chef’s kitchen flows from the family room and includes custom granite counters, Sub Zero refrigerator, Wolf six-top gas range, double ovens, double dishwashers, double sinks and includes everything you need to host a simple lunch or a grand feast. Everyone can watch the big game on the 70-inch HD TV.
Across the courtyard from the family room is a large den with a giant original fireplace and wood-paneled walls and ceiling with three sets of French doors to access the outside. This room also features a 60-inch flat screen TV and is adjacent to the “monkey” bar, an original galley bar and prep area. Cottage 76 was designed for comfort and the enjoyment of the outdoors and beautiful views of the trees, Sea Island Drive and the large in-ground pool and spa, with four separate balconies and porches upstairs and two screened areas downstairs.
At Cottage 76, it is easy to find a great nook to read a book or share a glass of wine. With a Weber gas grill off the Family Room and Green Egg on the side “fish cleaning” porch, there are plenty of options for cooking and entertaining.
Accommodations: The home has two master suites with king beds (one upstairs and one on the main) and a third junior master suite with a queen bed, one guest room with two full beds, a guest room with a King bed, and a guest room over the garage with twin over full bunk beds and another 60 inch LCD HD TV, which is great for video games (game console not included) or giving the kids a place to “hang out” on the occasional rainy day. Each bedroom features a newly renovated private bath, new mattresses and new bedding with 400-thread count sheets for restful and comfortable sleep.
Cottage 76 offers a one-car garage for rental guests and off-street parking in the front and on 14th Street. An elevator from the garage is available for your use if needed.
Cottage 76 also has a covered storage area at the closest access to the beach to provide a place for you to drop your beach toys and chairs before jumping into the large pool.
Other amenities include child dishes and cups for small children, cable HD television, smart TV, all linens, towels, beach towels chairs and wireless internet access.
Temporary access to all Sea Island amenities (golf, spa, beach club, workout facilities, tennis, horse back riding, etc.) may be purchased directly from Sea Island through our membership.
Please consider Cottage 76 for your next beach vacation, family reunion or get together. Cottage 76 is not available for groups of more than 16 people and is not available for college students or groups under the age of 30. Please note the deposit requirements for rental of Cottage 76.

Great time in Sea Island with family!
Great house with plenty of room!
This was the third year in a row that we've stayed in the house and everyone in our family voted to come back again next year. It's a wonderful house!!!

Beautiful house with everything you need to cook at home
Very nice accommodations. Bedrooms were large and well appointed. Kitchen was large and had everything we needed to make our meals at home. Only disappointment was outside grounds were not cleaned up and pool and spa were dirty and not usable.
Exceeded expectations on every level!
Amazing, comfortable for all ages, very well stocked on every level..linens, kitchen, baths. Our group of 8 ladies stayed there for the bridge festival at the Cloister. After instruction and games, we all gladly returned "home" for MORE bridge. The fireplace in the den was a wonderful setting for cocktails and bridge before dinner. I hope we can all go again.
Cottage 76 guests can purchase temporary memberships to have access to the Cloister and all Sea Island restaurants amenities including Golf, Tennis, Spa, Fitness, Beach Club, Children's Programs, Horse Back Riding, Skeet and Clay shooting, etc. Most activities have additional user fees. St. Simons also offers additional beaches, restaurants and night life. Sea Island does not allow RV's or boats to be parked at the cottages.

Summer turns Saturday to Saturday and one week minimum is required. For other times, 3 night minimum at seasonal rates. Holidays (MLK, PRES. DAY, EASTER, MEM DAY, 4th, LABOR DAY) and GA/FL weekend and McGladrey tournament week will be at Base/Summer rates per night. Rates are subject to change without notice. Check in is at 4pm and check out is at 10am. Sea Island temporary memberships may be purchased by tenants No pets are permitted on the property. Occupancy limit of 16 is strictly enforced. No parties or events may be held on the property. Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund of fees paid. Cancellations made within 60 days will not receive refund of any fees paid.
