Historic hotel

  • 4 of 5

The hotel is quaint and historic. However, be prepared for extremely small rooms. Our bed was smaller than a typical double bed. There was some noise from popular pub across street, but it was tolerable.

The hotel public areas are very nicely decorated. The breakfast was generous, but eggs were over-cooked. The owner is very nice and helpful.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it as long as you're not expecting the amenities of a modern hotel.

Saturday night stay

  • 4 of 5

In the centre of town but in a quiet road. Very close to the Cricket Club where I was going to a 65th birthday bash. very pleasant 'olde worlde' pub with basic but nice amenities. Staff were excellent and very welcoming.

Breakfast (for me) was full English served up piping hot with a pot of tea. Nice.

Nice pub accommodation

  • 4 of 5

Booked last minute, place clean but had a distinct doggy smell when we walked in, they did have a dog. It put us off having an evening meal there, room small but adequate, shower head needed descaling as hardly a good water spray, very friendly staff, my husband had cooked breakfast made to order, I just had egg, both satisfying.

Gammalt och gediget

  • 4 of 5
