About Linda Christensen

This wonderful mountain vacation home is owned by three families from the Denver area. We love Vail and have enjoyed many summer and winter retreats here. After several years of private ownership and personal care, we've decided to share our home with you so you too can build treasured Vail memories. Come and enjoy the experience. Make our home yours for a few days or a few weeks!

Why Linda Christensen chose Vail

Our families fell in love with Vail decades ago. First we rented hotel rooms, then bought a small condo, and finally built this spacious vacation home. We chose East Vail because it provides the best of two worlds--quiet residential luxury with close proximity to the bustle of Vail Village. Car or bus access to the village is easy, but when you are home, you feel the tranquility of this pristine setting.

What makes this house unique

Vail offers a plethora of rental properties, but we firmly believe that ours is the best value for your money. Yes, it's a great location with lots of space and comfortable furnishings, fabulous mountain air and unsurpassed recreational opportunities. But there's something more that you can't put a price tag on. There's a special spirit in this home, built from family bonds and close friendships. You'll feel it, you'll love it, come experience it.

Great Place!

  • 5 of 5

House was perfect for our long weekend ski vacation in Vail. Its large and was able to fit 10 of us easily. Kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook all of our meals there for the weekend. Walk to the bus stop is easy but after a long day of skiing be ready for a hike up the hill back to the house! Thanks again for a great weekend - well be looking at it again for next year!

Beautiful House - Perfect Vail Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We spent 4 days at this beautiful house for a group skiing trip to Vail. With 10 adults, the house was more than spacious. The photos really don't do this place justice! The house is 4 stories, with bedrooms on the basement level and the ground level. The third level is the kitchen and living room with high, vaulted ceilings. The 4th level is the loft with the king bed. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the tools we needed to cook all our meals. It was about a 7 minute walk (with all our gear) to the bus stop, which made it very easy to get to the Vail resort and back. Many in our group enjoyed the sauna on the bottom level. The owner was super sweet and helpful and she responded right away to all my texts. This rental definitely exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it! I would stay here again, and may return next year.

Great Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

This property is located in an upscale East Vail neighborhood on a quiet cul-de-sac. Every aspect of this home exceeded our expectations. It provides large communal gathering places and privacy for those who want to sleep late or simply retire to a private space. The two-story great room has two new leather couches which will accommodate the entire group for gathering, playing games, watching tv, or simply feeling the warmth of the gas fireplace. The adjoining dining room has seating space for ten at the table. The kitchen is well equipped with quality appliances and has more than enough pots, pans, utensils, plates, silverware, and glassware to prepare and serve a multi-course meal. There are four private sleeping areas (loft and three bedrooms) each with its own private bath or hall bath, and a Murphy bed in the rec room sharing a hall bath. The mattresses are extremely comfortable. The hot water baseboard heat and excellent insulation keeps the entire home very comfortable even on the coldest mornings. Most rooms have their own temperature controls. There is never a hot water shortage for showers and laundry. The wi-fi connection is secure and fast, and the cable tv includes surround sound. The owners were very responsive in answering my questions prior to sending a deposit. Little extra touches such as setting up a Christmas tree and decorating the great room for the holidays clearly indicates the owners want their clients to feel at home. When an intermittent malfunction occurred with the garage door exterior keypad during our stay, the owners dispatched a local repair man within an hour to have it replaced. My recommendation is to place this property at the top of your Vail VRBO priority list. The value for your money, space and quality of life you get by staying here will exceed anything you will find elsewhere in Vail. I plan to return for more stays in the future.

Spring Break

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely private home in Vail. There were 9 of us and we had plenty of room. This home had everything that we needed to cook for breakfast and dinners. Very well equipped from pots and pans, dishes, silverware to spices to cook with. Plenty of linens and towels for everyone. Great place to bring kids to, plenty of room inside and outside play. Beautiful living room with the big screen television and fireplace. Very cozy! The only thing that was hard with the kids was walking to the bus with skis, poles and boots. So we would drive the equipment down to the bus stop drop everyone off then take the vehicle back to the house and do the same thing when we came back. The bus stop was a bit of a walk for the kids. Beautiful area and the snow was great for our Floridian friends who are not use to snow. Watching it snow was the most beautiful thing for us to share with our friends. The house was very clean and well equipped. The use of a washer and dryer is great especially with 3 kids. We really enjoyed our Spring Break with our friends and their family.

Ski vacation condo

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for this great place to stay. We had six guys stay for a ski vacation. The condo is just a 5 minute walk to the bus line. Plenty of room and bathrooms. The sauna was a pleasant bonus. Everything was clean and well maintained, just as advertised. The owner was very responsive to questions during the booking process. We hope we can stay there again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the excellent and unsolicited review. We are pleased that you enjoyed the home. Our family loves this house, and we work hard to ensure a positive experience for all our renters. Thanks too for commenting on the short five-minute walk to the shuttle stop. That seems to be the number one question everyone asks! Come see us again next winter, or plan a summer getaway for your family.
