About Scott & Christy

Scott & Christy

Scott & Christy purchased this house in 2012

Why Scott & Christy chose Monte Del Oro

We wanted a home to escape the rainy winters in Seattle when we retire. We were looking for a place that we could continue to enjoy the outdoors. When we found our retirement home, we fell in love with the neighborhood and the views. Everywhere we looked there were mountains and it reminded us of home. We love the warm weather and the friendliness of Oro Valley and Tucson.

What makes this house unique

At Casa Montana we have the best of everything! We love that our home is close to whatever we may need - groceries, golf, hiking, parks, restaurants, and shopping. When we have had enough activity, we can escape to the peacefulness and privacy at home.

Our Best Location in Tucson

  • 5 of 5

We've been renting homes in Tucson for four years now and this home is over the top! We are from the east coast and rent properties in Tucson for vacation while moving our daughter into the University of Arizona. A property manager met us upon arrival and covered all of the functions of the property. The home is beautiful, fully equipped and well maintained. We had all the comforts of home plus great views of the mountains while enjoying our time by the pool. Breakfast daily out on the patio was just amazing watching the sun come up over the mountains. If you are looking for a place to relax a feel like you are living at a resort, this is the place. Home is completely updated a tastefully done. You are far enough away from neighbors so it is very private. Home is close to many shops and restaurants in Oro Valley. We took day trips to Old Tucson Studios, the Reid Park Zoo, Trail Dust Town, horse back riding and went to Phoenix to catch a Diamondbacks day game. The owners, Scott and Christy were great to work with and the communication was excellent. They actually invited us to tour the home when we were there for a short visit about four months prior to our trip. We can't thank them enough for their hospitality and making this the best vacation we ever had in Tucson. We are very close to retirement and if this home is available it would be our #1 choice for vacation. Thank you Scott and Christy for sharing this home with us, we hope to be back again!

This is a gorgeous property, situated on top of a hill, with incredible views in all directions. The pool, hot tub and exterior living spaces are so comfortable. The interior has excellent climate control and a warm, friendly atmosphere. The kitchen is a special joy because it is so well equipped and stocked for cooking.

The owners and the property manager are attentive and handle any situation very quickly. We love this home and look forward to visiting again.

Palace on the Hill

  • 5 of 5

What a fantastic property! The views of the mountains are breathtaking and we spent hours just sitting outside looking at the changing colours through the day. We loved the open views and being able to enjoy both sunrises and sunsets. The house itself was very clean, exceptionally well supplied (more than we’ve ever experienced in a vacation rental) and spacious enough to comfortably accommodate four adults. The owners were wonderful to deal with, and very responsive both on email and by phone. We appreciated the follow-up call to check that we were enjoying the home. In addition, the location is excellent for sightseeing and Oro Valley is very pleasant. This is absolutely the best rental property we have stayed in.

What a Treat

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I and our good friends, found this gem for a wonderful getaway from the Seattle weather. None of us had been to Tucson before, and were really looking forward to this vacation. As a result, we had very very high expectations of the region as well as the home. Let me just say that no amount of pictures or words can describe this property. Suffice it to say that we were blown away by the beauty of the region, and of course Casa Montana. Scott and Christy, whom we had the pleasure of meeting at Tucson Airport, have done an amazing job. We went on several hikes at nearby Santa Catalina State park, as well as Saguaro National Park, played golf at two very affordable and beautiful golf courses (Del Ulrich and Randolph North), and fell in love with Old Tucson. The struggle, of course, each day, was to make the decision to leave Casa Montana. Breakfast in the beautiful front courtyard, Gin and Tonics and BBQ by the pool, the amazing birds and other wildlife, the very comfortable beds, the spacious garage, the pool floaty things........I could go on and on and on, but, well, you get the drift. Needless to say, we'll be back again and again and again. Thanks Scott and Christy!!!

Following instructions, finding Casa Montana was easy, the difficult part was leaving. The house was everything and more than the description on the web site. Store cupboards stocked and even the loyalty card for a local supermarket were all examples of thought and generosity given to the renters of this fabulous property by the owners. Thank You. We loved everything about our stay, the scenery promised lots of interest, changing hour by hour with the passing of the sun, and the hummingbirds entertaining us closer to the house. Absolutely brilliant holiday venue.
