Nice! Spacious but lacking a few details

  • 4 of 5

My family (13 in total) loved the size of this home! The large living room & open kitchen with two dining tables was perfect for our large family!

A few things we didn’t realize- an annoyed neighbor had fenced off the most direct access to beach for this house, causing us to walk 5 houses down and across the street to the public beach access. Not a terrible walk, but cumbersome with six small children ages 6 & under.

Also, we had not been informed that the garage was closed to renters. For Home-owner use only. This would have been a nice feature to keep our beach chairs/tents secured overnight.

Also, the hoses outside were minimal. We had quite a crew to rinse off & clean everyday and the 3’ hose was minimal. No outdoor shower was available.

Lastly, the kitchen wasn’t very well stocked. We were prepared to provide all food, but basics like 9x13 pans, mixing bowls & can openers would have been nice...we kind of expected a few more kitchen essentials than were provided.

Over all a great week! Loved the 3 bedrooms with King beds! My family fit nicely into this space!

Awesome Beach House !!

  • 5 of 5

We stay here 2 weeks every year this was our 6th year in this house . It is so beautiful and the whole front is glass so it gives it such a great feel. What I love is they have 3 king size beds which no other house Ive found does also plenty of beds for kids .Someone posted a false review named "misrepresented " and said they were in the house on May 27th but we stayed from May 23 to June 4th so that cannot be possible. the rental company is wonderful and has always gone out of their way to make sure we were happy. That is a huge reason we come back every year .

they always work with me on date changes I've had to make and always call and let me know about things going on there that I might need to know like the best way to get around traffic and events they are having. I dont understand mean people leaving false reviews they need to get a life! Trust me you will love this house and the rental company is the best!

Great but....

  • 4 of 5

I want to start out by saying that we loved the house and the location! It was spacious and well laid out. We loved the fact that there was not a house directly across the street so the view was unobstructed and the walk was so short that it literally felt like we were beachfront. It was one of our favorite beach vacations due to the time of year (almost no one else!) the location (quiet but still close to all we needed) and the perfect weather (end of Sept is always great in the panhandle!). However, there we're several things we weren't real keen abt. 1) There are no beach chairs, towels, coolers ect. Since we all FLEW in from IL, WI, CO & UT we obviously did not bring them either. When I inquired abt this the owner/manager informed me that there is a Wal-Mart down the road and how lovely it would be if we left these things for future tenants to use. VERY DISTASTEFUL!! (We chose to donate all items, instead.) 2) There is no grill. How disappointing to not be able to throw burgers or steaks on the grill after a beautiful day at the beach. :( We did not buy a grill. 3) The kitchen is stocked w/ cheap and mismatched things. Ratty dishtowels, cheap utensils and no serving dishes. * They should check out Beals --lovely ideas for stocking a vacation home for cheap. 4) The surround sound did not work, TV's in the 2nd & 3rd bdrms did not work, the H2O filter needed to be changed, ect. Little things but once again, they add up. I understand the upkeep with a rental is difficult but that is why people provide a security deposit: not just for the big stuff but the small stuff too. And it matters. When the house is well stocked and maintained -it shows the renters how to take care of it also... if someone is renting a beach house and they "steal" a beach chair or ruin a kitchen towel--take it out of the deposit. We did have a great time and the house was the perfect size and place but we probably will not return to it for these few reasons. If something changes, I would definitely be back. One other suggestion; maybe have two garbage and recycle bins. :)

Beautiful and spacious

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 7 kids. Plenty of beds, bedrooms, and bathrooms. The open kitchen, dining, and living room was beautiful and you can find pretty much everything you would need. Games, movies, books and about everything you will need in the kitchen as well (the second coffee pot was great.) The front porch was great for drinking coffee in the mornings and listening to the ocean. Although it is across the street from the beach, it was really so close that we felt like we were beachfront. Everyone there was very polite and accommodating. The people that run Shark Bite just down the road are also there for you if you need a kayak and were very helpful in hauling it to the sound side for us when the water was too rough. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hope to return someday!

Beautiful and spacious!

  • 5 of 5

This house was wonderful for our group. Plenty of bedrooms, all 13 of us fit nicely. Open kitchen, dining, and living room was beautiful. Very clean and well equipped. So close to the beach that it felt like a beachfront instead of being across the street. Shark Bite rentals just down the street was very accommodating as well with our kayak needs. Everyone was friendly and pleasant to deal with. I would definitely return.
