Overview

About the property

1 BR / 1 BA Condominium

Talk directly with the Owner for personal attention and service. You just found your vacation home! Located at the hilltop of Point Pleasant Resort, we are ideally situated at the East End of St Thomas out of downtown and cruise ship traffic, yet easily accessible to restaurants and shopping or a day at the beach. This upper unit offers a private balcony to enjoy morning coffee, lounge during the day, or star gaze at night with no unit above to block the view.

Drop your bags and enjoy complimentary arrival rum and coke while you slow down and get settled. Take in the open feeling created by 20-foot vaulted ceilings and continue through the split-level layout to the living room area to take in one of the most amazing views on the island. Open the expansive sliding doors, smell the salt air, and enjoy tropical breezes. Your island holiday has begun!

The unit has a remodeled bathroom, and kitchen appliances have been updated to include a 4 burner cooktop stove and traditional oven. Other kitchen extras include a variety of spices, food processor, rice cooker, countertop griddle, and coffee grinder (bring your favorite beans!).

Your hosts provide beach towels and snorkel equipment free of charge, and a variety of water sports and excursions is also close by. Taxis and shuttles are available, but your hosts recommend renting a car or arranging a car service during your stay for greater flexibility and the option to come and go at your own pace without having to make a call or spend precious vacation time waiting for a ride.

After a day of shopping in town or relaxing on the beach, put your feet up and watch your favorite DVD. The entertainment center includes a flat screen HDTV with BluRay player and stereo with an iPod dock, and there is also a 36-inch flat screen television in the bedroom with DVD player. Upgraded in-room WiFi is also included in your rental. Stay connected and get top quality broadcast entertainment! You might even send a picture or two of your amazing island getaway to friends and family back home.

Choose between 3 pools at the resort or visit one of St Thomas’ world class beaches. From your balcony, you can see Lindquist Beach to the east...the Owner's personal choice. Pack the cooler provided in the entry closet; make sandwiches, grab some chips or fruit, and enjoy a beach picnic. For more beach amenities, travel 15 minutes to Magens Bay. There you can enjoy chair rentals, shower facilities, snack bar and gift shop, not to mention bar service at the water's edge. End your day with a $6 ferry ride to St John and look back to see an inspiring sunset over St Thomas.

About Marc

Having been on several cruises and island vacations, we came to St Thomas looking for a new experience in 2003 and fell in love with the views and the island from that very first trip. It didn't take long to start thinking long-term and that we could maybe have our own little piece of paradise. A short three months later, we were back again to finalize the purchase of our villa. We love our island home and look forward to sharing it with you.

Marc purchased this condo in 2003

Why Marc chose East End

Location within a Location within a Location... a special hilltop unit with 180+ degree island views at Point Pleasant Resort on beautiful St Thomas. Out of the rush of downtown yet still easily accessible to everything you need for a perfect Caribbean getaway. Restaurants, resort spa, shopping, beaches, and inter-island ferry are all nearby.

What makes this condo unique

It is all about the view, privacy and serenity you will enjoy in this upper unit at the top of the hill. Expansive vistas of 9 beautiful islands with no balcony above you to block the sky view, a PANORAMA in every sense of the word.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Friends,

…for that is how we feel. This is our third year sharing your beautiful home. When we enter at the beginning of our stay, we suddenly shed our worries, anxieties and troubles. Your home is haven for us. The view from your balcony is breathtaking. We can see many islands in the distance. We have coffee in the morning sitting on the balcony and watch the coming and goings of the charters, ferries and leisure sports (e.g. kite sailing). The intensity of the turquoise blue water excites our attention and promises a beautiful day at the beach. At night the lights from St. John Island enhance our stay as we melt away the journey of that day. The sky of stars overhead provides a venue to dream and relax. Trade winds are abundant and naturally cool your home. We feel as if this is a surreal experience.

Your home is well organized, comfortable and inviting. We like to cook meals so that we can relax. You have provided abundant tools that make this easy. Your furniture is comfortable (wonderful new living room set!). If we need to be out of the sun, we have the opportunity to be cozy.

You provide the opportunity to reach you with situations in which we need assistance or questions we have. There is a sense of security that we are not alone and expected to “work through” difficulties.

Since Red Hook and other resorts are close, this allows us to visit when we want live entertainment. A stay at your home also is part of the Point Pleasant experience in which 3 pools and the Spa and workout center can be accessed if wanted.

At the end of our stay we feel sad to be leaving, but take heart in the knowledge that we will be back again to share this experience. Our stay this year was 23 days (our longest). We look forward to this again (and perhaps longer!).

Thank you again and again. We remember this time with fondness during the rest of the year.

Really Nice Condo

  • 5 of 5

The condo was better than the pictures. The condo was clean, the bed was comfortable, the furniture was in good condition and the kitchen was well stocked. The view is spectacular. I stayed in this condo for 13 nights while here for work and was very pleased. Marc was a pleasure to deal with and promptly answered all questions. Point Pleasant is quite hilly and you will get some good exercise if you walk around Point Pleasant. The hilltop pool is a 3 minute walk and was nice after a long day.

Owner's Response: Thanks, Mike, for taking time to write a review of Virgin Island Panorama. We forget sometimes that people do travel to the island for work, and it's more than an amazing vacation destination. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and my condo had everything you needed. You're right about the hilltop pool...it's one of the best kept secrets on the property, and just a short walk from the condo. I look forward to having you back again.

A perfect stay!

  • 5 of 5

Marc was a great host even before we checked in - very responsive and spent the time to answer all my questions and provide his suggestions to ensure a fabulous stay in Saint Thomas and at his vacation home. Once we checked in, the view from the hilltop condo exceeded our expectations. Simply "WOW" is the only way to describe it! No doubt, the best view on Saint Thomas of the other USVIs & BVIs. The condo was clean and well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The location was ideal - walking distance to Sugar, Pinapple and Coki Beaches as well as restaurants. It's definitely a stair climb up from the waterfront to the hilltop condo, but we enjoyed the exercise! The resort staff were very accommodating. We jumped in all 3 pools, however, Sugar Beach at the resort was our favorite. We really enjoyed the Shoreline Grill on the waterfront. The friendly staff gave our kids food for the huge tarpin fish that come up almost to the edge of the restaurant floor hoping you'll share leftovers of your meal. A BIG thanks for Marc for opening up his lovely vacation home to us. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful, comfortable home with an amazing view

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Virgin Island Panorama from 3/28-4/5. There were four of us. My husband and two children (15 and 11 years old). We were all very comfortable in the accommodations. We had requested an air mattress and when we arrived it was all set up with bedding. My son slept on the pull out sofa, he is bigger than my husband and he was comfortable. My daughter slept well on the air mattress. The king bed was so comfortable and the ceiling fans through out the unit were wonderful. The view from the balcony is absolutely gorgeous. We appreciated the heavy, light blocking curtains in the morning as the condo faces the rising sun.

The condo is wonderfully equipped. Marc provides 4 chairs for the beach, a perfectly sized cooler and swim noodles/snorkel gear. Also plenty of ice cube trays in the freezer. We never had to buy ice for the cooler, rent beach chairs or snorkel gear which was a tremendous savings. The beach towels and personal towels for inside the unit were high quality. The wifi worked great and the in room safe was helpful too.

I love to cook and the kitchen was very well equipped. It was so nice to have a spice rack, fresh ground pepper. I enjoyed the griddle. The water filter in the refrigerator was a nice addition but the tap water was also fine.

Point Pleasant resort is beautiful! The flowers and plants along the trails are so pretty and fragrant. All the pools were nice we especially liked the hilltop pool which is very close to the unit. The Shoreline Grill was good. We went there for happy hour. Appetizers are half price. Tarpon fish swim up to the waterside deck and you can throw them chicken bones to eat. Our children really enjoyed doing that. Island Time Pub has excellent pizza and salads. The Tap and Still had a great happy hour and delicious burgers. Both were in Red Hook which is very close.

Lindquist beach was our favorite on St. Thomas. It is rural and there is shade and good snorkeling. We also enjoyed Coki beach. It is much more commercialized but the shops were fun as well as the music and people watching. Tony runs a food truck that only takes cash but the food was so much better than the bar food that takes credit cards. My husband did a shore dive and enjoyed it. The dive shop owner said M-W are the busiest at Coki as that it is a big cruise excursion stop. There was a road side dairy bar near Magens Bay that had delicious ice cream shakes. Thank you for wonderful memories!

Fantastic stay

  • 5 of 5

Room had a fantastic view of the bay and the islands beyond! Best place we've stayed so far on vacation. Marc was very quick in responding and checked up on us a few times while we were there. He also provided a pack and play for our little baby! Would come back and stay again.

Stunning view

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I loved our stay at Virgin Island Panorama. We enjoyed our breakfast (cooked by my sweet husband) every morning on our private balcony overlooking the beautiful blue water and islands in the background. We took the ferry to St John to enjoy stunningly beautiful Trunk Bay. Also, decided to take the ferry to Virgin Gordo rather than take a charter boat which would have taken us to 4 locations in one day. We wanted to be able to spend the day at The Bath's rather than an hour or so. Our favorite restaurant was XOBistro in Red Hook. Marc and Robert's condo was lovely and we had everything we could possibly need. Marc was always a text away. Since we booked months ahead he received several texts from me over the months leading up to our visit. He always responded promptly to any question I had. Hope to make this an annual trip.

Honeymoon Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying at the Virgin Island Panorama for our honeymoon. The condo is perfect, and the view is to die for. Everyone working at Point Pleasant Resort and the Shoreline Grill was very nice and the food was very good. Sugar Beach was small but private and very clean. The whole resort is very well maintained. We will definitely contact Marc on our next trip to the island to hopefully stay there again. Thank you so much Marc for everything, we loved your place and were very sad to leave.
