Comfortable and convenient!
Nice, comfortable, conveniently situated to the village and slopes. We enjoyed our stay here. The home was well appointed with the necessities. The beds were comfortable, but the sofa sleeper..not so much.
Neat, small but good for family of four. Near the village. Reliable owners. N
Cute, nicely appointed condo. Small- comfortable for a family of four but would be tough for more. Just above the village -very convenient. Only problems- owners didn’t seem to leave a parking pass (I got a tow notice but then it snowed and covered all the cars so I got away with it) and dishwasher seemed to have a broken soap dish. Could use more new sponges to wash dishes. Owners responsive to emails.
Nice cabin, very clean. It's not updated but everything works and the beds sleep well!
Not true ski in/ski out, but short walk to village and gondola. Approx 6-7 min walk for active 40 somethings.
Great, simple place!
Very nice place! Everything was clean, comfortable couch, good kitchen! WiFi was spotty. But overall, great!
Needs a major overhaul. Zeke is awesome.
Stayed here over Christmas and as the last reviewer said, it is cheap and functional at best. In addition to the problems he mentioned, the blinds in the downstairs bedroom are broken and don't fit the window allowing the security light to shine in your face all night. The sink in the bathroom was stopped up when we arrived, which took 3 days to fix, but Zeke, the property manager, went above and beyond to help us. He even tried to fix the sink on Christmas night. The lock was replaced with a keypad, which is great, but the owner forgot to send the key for the ski locker downstairs, so we had schlep all our ski gear up 3 flights of stairs everyday. Dropped my suitcase on the 30 year old carpet in the bedroom and a cloud of dust flew up, I ended up with a sinus infection from all the dust. The resort the great. The shuttle is great, so you really don't need a car in the winter. As the last reviewer said, the owner needs to step up his game.
Remodeled? When? 1990s?
This property is not lovingly maintained to say the least. It is functional, cheap and at an awesome ski resort.
The master bathroom shower door came off its hinges. Since I didn't want to wait for someone to come fix it, I fixed it myself. It was a cheap shower door with a cheap hinge mechanism and not a surprise that this happened. It may happen to you. The light in the shower was one of those stick up press the light jobbers. Except the battery was dead. There is a trend here.... Slap dash finishings.
The mattress in the master bedroom was soft and saggy. There was a pillow topper on it. But that does not fix an old lousy mattress. The pillows sucked. The cable box which is mounted up high with the TV has a bright LED that if you are having a hard time sleeping isn't great.
The wifi didn't work. We called. No one came to fix it. A neighbor had an unsecured network the kids could hop on. But if an unsecured network is not an option for you..... And I am not surprised. It was an ancient wifi router.
The carpet in the living room was threadbare. Seriously, there is a worn path in the carpet around the coffee table. The linoleum in the kitchen had been repaired at the corner with duct tape as had the open/close stick on the living room blinds.
There were night lights in the downstairs bathroom, but they did not work. The chairs for the small dining table were rickety.
There was one key. So, if the wife and I were not together the timing of the return to the condo had to be coordinated.
The directions about the parking pass were ambiguous.
The closest ski in - ski out trail may no longer be in operation. It was late in the season, but I could not find a trail marker. You have to walk across a long parking lot to get to another trail (not a big deal, but just don't imagine you are walking out the door and onto the trail).
The bottom line is that it is inexpensive. It is functional. Northstar is awesome. But the owner is just milking this investment and putting little of nothing back into it. Absentee perhaps.... Calling it remodeled is misleading. The units were built in the 1970s. So, this has been remodeled since then. But it has been 20+ years to be sure. And the maintenance on the place is barely passable.
Oh yeah, there is a spare microwave in the master bedroom. It is not plugged in or anything. It is just stored there. WTF? Symptomatic. Step up your game owner.
