Experience a true Maine summer in this five bedroom lakefront home on the crystal clear waters of Sebago Lake.
The house has a private deck and dock that overlook the lake and is perfect for swimming and boating. There is also a swim dock with a slide, a stone fire pit, tree swings, a hammock, and two kayaks. The large deep water dock allows you to dock your boat which can be launched down the road at Kettle Cove Marina.
Inside the house the first floor is finished in pine with an open floor plan. There is a large kitchen, dining room, a half bath, and living area for all to gather. Off the kitchen is a newly built timber-framed screened-in porch that gives the house a rustic, northern cottage feel. This is a perfect spot to sit and relax.
On the second level there is a full bathroom and three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a queen bed that has a wall of windows that overlook the lake. The second bedroom has a double bed and a twin bed and the third bedroom has three twin beds.
On the third level there are two rooms, one room has a double bed, and the other larger room has four twin beds.
The lower level has a full bathroom and a ping-pong table.
The house is equipped with two refrigerators, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, outdoor grill, sound system, wireless, and cable for the two televisions.
The house is located in an area that is close to nearby attractions such as restaurants, shops, art galleries, Point Sebago Golf Resort, and even a drive-in movie theater.
As the morning mist rises from the lake you can sip your morning coffee on a deck that sits directly over the water's edge. Relax and enjoy the beautiful views and peacefulness of the lake or explore the lake and surrounding islands using our two kayaks. At night gaze at the bright sea of stars by the campfire while roasting marshmallows and spending quality time with family and friends.
Come to have your kids swim and play all day in the water. Come to spend time with loved ones. Come to relax, get away and enjoy the beauty of a summer on Sebago Lake.
My wife and I live in Scituate, Massachusetts where we raised our five children. We started vacationing on Sebago Lake over twenty years ago. We enjoyed the area so much we decided to purchase a vacation home there.
In addition to boating and kayaking on lake. We enjoy hiking the local mountains and trails. In the winter love to ski and snowmobile.
Carol Clinton purchased this cottage in 2004
We bought our first home on the lake in 1999. In 2004 this home came on the market after being in the same family since the 1940s. On the first visit we knew this house would be the perfect place to create family memories.
The house sits on a protected cove directly behind the Dingley Islands in a quiet setting. The large lake can get rough at times on windy days, but because of the islands the water remains calm in the cove.
From morning to nightfall the lake is always beautiful in new and different ways. From the sunsets to the brightness of the stars -- our home is great way to spend your days and nights with family and friends.
