Perfect location!! Newly built and renovated. Resort-style finishes and furniture. High-end Wolf Sub-Zero appliances, piano, pool, outdoor cooking and living area...very fun family home across from the beach. Better than on the beach, believe me. Outdoor shower, beach and pool toys, outdoor bbq and dining...it doesn't get any better.
Quiet and private. Secure yard for little kids. Beach kayak and other beach toys available. Walk to Kailua town, Kalapawai Market, Lanikai Beach, Whole Foods, etc. Take a bottle of wine down to the beach and enjoy the stars, and have your coffee the next morning on the beach at sunrise.
Spending Thanksgiving in Hawaii is a tradition for our family of six adults and two children and this home was great for our week long stay--spacious, plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms, and walking distance to the beach and to town. Kailua is a good base for exploring the island while avoiding the crowds. We enjoyed dinner on the lanai and the kids were in the pool almost daily. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and it was nice to have so much room to spread out as we had a few days of rain and wind.
What a treat to bring the family of 4 adults and 3 kids to this home for our vacation. The place was clean and top of the line furnishings. We needed all four bedrooms and it was so lovely to have three separate living rooms to relax in. The pool was great as we had a jelly fish invasion one day at the ocean. The beach was right next door and not at all crowded. We ate all our dinners on the Lanai which was special. Chip was a dream to work with. He answered all the questions promptly and with grace. The house itself combined with its location make this the perfect rental for a Hawaiian vacation. There were six adults in our party -- the layout of the house, its furnishings and appliances, accommodated us perfectly. We particularly enjoyed dining on the lanai and the swimming pool. The house is "roomy" and the furnishings are top-of-the-line. The beach is what all Hawaiian beaches are supposed to be like -- beautiful vistas, wide sandy beach, and gentle surf. All in all, this was a perfect rental.
This home is beautiful and has the perfect layout. We had 3 kids and 4 adults in our party and it was wonderful. The pool was ideal and we had the baby gate put around it which let us relax with our 2 year old running around. The beach was so easily accessed, not crowded and beautiful. The outdoor shower with warm water to rinse off after he beach was over the top! This home was stocked with everything too..boogie boards, beach towels and chairs! Chip, the owner, is a gem! He showed us the home the first day and made sure we were all set to enjoy our week! I hope we can rent this home again...soon!
We had a great stay at Chip's house. We are a family of four kids and two adults. The house had plenty of room for everyone, and the floor plan was perfect for a vacation stay. After exploring Oahu each day, there was nothing better than coming back to the house and hanging out at the pool and cooking dinner. So easy with kids. The house is beautifully and thoughtfully appointed--it has everything you need.
Also, Kailua is a great town. Everything you need to feed the kids and stock up the superb kitchen or to go out to dinner/lunch is right around the corner. The beach is right across the street from this house, and Kailua beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island! We spent bunches of time on this lovely beach.
We (both parents and kids) loved this house, and we would rent this property again without any hesitation.
We had a beautiful week at Chip's house recently. The spacious house allowed for two couples, a single and two young children to spend the week together without feeling in any way crowded. The pool was fabulous and the kids could have spent the whole time in there. The fact that Chip was able to put a safety fence around the pool gave us great peace of mind throughout the week. The cooking facilities, sound system and variety of living areas made for a wonderful stay. An extra bonus were the soft toys and beach toys which amused the children.
Chip was extremely responsive to fix a small problem that arose with the smoke alarm. We would thoroughly recommend this house for a family holiday.

I live in Kailua and manage the house myself, and as you can see from our reviews, I am readily available to help and assist you with your stay. Our rental is in compliance with all City & County of Honolulu ordinances and laws, and we pay all required taxes. Our GET/TAT tax number appears below and is displayed in the house. Minimum stay is 5-nights, but the actual term for the rental agreement is 30-days, regardless of check-in and check-out dates or length of stay. This is a requirement of Honolulu City & County.
