About Gretchen Rossi
I am not a morning person but watching the sun rise and sparkle on the water, then light up Cascade Head and finally wake up the homes just below is irresistible. Sitting there quietly beside the fire with a hot cup of coffee as the light streams in through all the windows energizes and soothes at the same time. I can start breakfast before anyone is up, while the sun rises higher in the sky and the rest of the house starts to stir, perhaps they smell the coffee or hear the sound of the waves crashing on the shore calling them. Our two dogs know today is a day for adventure and are already out in the yard sniffing all the smells so different from those back home. Our family has owned a home over by Devil’s lake since I was young. The tide pools of Road’s End and the trails of Cascade Head were my backyard away from home growing up. This particular home with its oversized decks facing the ocean, hardwood floors, tiled kitchen and beautiful bathroom fixtures was everything I imagined and we are thrilled to be able to share it with others.
Gretchen Rossi purchased this House in 2006
Why Gretchen Rossi chose Roads End
I can start breakfast before anyone is up, as the sun rises higher in the sky and the rest of the house starts to stir, perhaps they smell the coffee or hear the sound of the waves crashing on the shore calling them. What makes this House unique
Be careful or you will come home with nothing but photos of the views from the Great Room and Balcony. From sunrise to sunset I could sit and watch the light play on the waves, binoculars ready for possible whale sightings. Driftwood has a large master suite complete with Jacuzzi tub that is a treat unto itself. Sink into the tub after a day of hiking Cascade Head just don't fall asleep. Save sleeping for the king size bed with a mattress that will make it hard to want to leave. I think my most favorite feature at Driftwood is the beautiful oil-rubbed bronze bathroom fixtures. Sleek and gleaming against the white walls stepping into the restroom is like walking into a spa retreat.

Weekend get away
The place is beautiful clean well-kept, nice view of the ocean, also very convenient for shopping at safeway . walking distance to the beach or drive. My stay was very tranquil and amazingly fun. I'll certainly be revisiting this beach house again. I highly recommend it.
What a wonderful place to make new family memories
Mark and Gretchen’s property is wonderful. The house was spotless and getting into the house was a breeze. The layout is perfect for a family gathering. The large open 2nd story provides a wonderful view of the ocean and a nice place to hang out and play games and visit.
We had easy access to a wonderful beach that was only a five minute walk from the house.
The house was well equipped and I liked the fact that they provided well marked instructions so I did not have to go back and refer to the house instructions constantly.
We loved our stay and would love to come back again.
Definitely not the last time i rent this house!
This beach house met all and even exceeded all of my expectations. I was looking for a cheap one in Lincoln City, and this was the one that was the cheapest. It looked decent from the photos and that's all I needed.
When my family and I arrived, I was already loving the neighborhood that it was in. The surrounding houses were just as nice and it was a really cute area. When we went inside, the house was bright and welcoming! For some reason, the photos I saw online didn't seem to do it any justice, and I got more than what I wanted and expected!
All the bedrooms were a decent size, and the kitchen was super nice! Our kitchen at home is a little rundown, so my family definitely took advantage of the kitchen. I thought the layout of the house was interesting as well, having the upstairs solely have the kitchen and living area, and having the downstairs have the bedrooms and bathrooms. The little game table was a cute add on, and my siblings and I made use of it and played games on there and made a lot of memories there!
Now, lets talk about the location. I already mentioned how cute the neighborhood was, but the location of this beach house is quite close to Safeway, and the Casino, and the beach! The description for the beach house says all this, but its honestly so handy for when you have to make a quick run to get some drinks, snacks, and the drive to Safeway is literally 2-3 minutes, if that. The beach is also just a few minutes away and my family and I caught the sunset every evening we were there (granted all the sunsets were hidden from the clouds).
Overall, this beach house was PERFECT and exceeded all my expectations. We got this beach house for 3 nights, 4 days at the price of a little under $1000, which I think was a complete steal! I already talked to my siblings about renting this beach house annually and I think this might just be our go-to beach house when we plan to stay in Lincoln City! I HIGHLY recommend this beach house, it was an absolute gem!
Had both hips replaced so the stairs were a bit of a problem at the beginning of the week. Did ok by the end. Much better than the other 2 houses the family rented.
They were 3 story places with more stairs than I care to count.
Enjoyable week and the desert dwellers from Scottsdale loved it.
Good weather but a bit windy. Played lots of football on the beach. Thanks for allowing us to share your little piece of paradise.
Wonderful location!! The views from the top story deck are beautiful!
This house everything you will need! Having the bedrooms on a separate level than the kitchen/living room was very nice!
We had such a great time at this property. Sunsets were amazing. The whole house was just great. Kitchen, dining, and family area on top. Bedrooms on the bottom floor. Master bathroom was amazing. Just minutes from the beach. Which is a really good one. Close to the knoll/gods thumb hike. We are really happy we found this property and hope to return soon. For the price you just can't beat it.
