Willow Ridge is located in the private gated community of Shagbark, which boasts 1,300 acres of woodlands in the rolling foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Shagbark has a community pool (accessible Memorial to Labor Day), tennis courts, and ground-level parking for your motorcycles and small trailer.*

Close to the towns of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and convenient to all the outdoor opportunities of the Smokies, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and tranquility of the mountains. Willow Ridge is perched in a clearing on a full acre of land with only a few cabins in sight. In fact, The drive is only 7.3 miles from Willow Ridge to the Pigeon Forge Parkway (less than 10 minutes)--really convenient! Close enough to be part of it all, and yet far enough away to experience mountain peace.

Our luxury retreat is a smoke- and pet-free 1,300-square foot log cabin with spacious exposed-beam vaulted ceiling interiors, hardwood floors, and golden knotty-pine walls. Two private bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, pool room with floor-to-ceiling windows, and an upper-level office cove complete with computer, cordless phone (with free local and long-distance [US] service), and satellite wi-fi make this a perfect mountain retreat you'll never want to leave.

How does one enjoy a mountain getaway without enjoying a Sprawling Deck complete with locally crafted rockers and a four-person spa? It's where you'll spend every waking minute—even in the winter, when the meticulously maintained spa is heated to the perfect temperature. And don't forget about the deck-side gas grill with side burner: you may never spend time inside!

The spacious upper-level master bedroom features vaulted ceilings and expansive views, along with an electric fireplace and wall-mounted flat-screen television. A sunny nook facing south begs for a good book and some time in the comfy, plush armchair. Store your clothing in our antique armoire complete with hanger rack and built-in drawers. The stacked-stone jacuzzi tub sits just outside the full bath with walk-in shower. A solid wood king-size sleigh bed invites you for a good night's sleep. And the soft carpet will keep your feet warm on those cool winter nights.

Our downstairs guest bedroom features a wrought iron queen bed with silky-smooth linens. For those cool mountain evenings, tuck up underneath the fluffy down comforter and crack your windows to tune into the morning songbirds. Complete with a private closet and South Deck views, the guest bedroom opens into a semi-private bathroom with shower/tub.

The fully equipped kitchen comes with everything you need for a week of delicious living: refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, 5-burner glass-top range, microwave, and dishwasher. It's stocked with loads of cooking utensils any chef would admire, 4-slice toaster, auto-off coffee maker, and ample storage for your groceries. (And did we mention the custom-formed pottery mugs for your morning coffee?) Sit comfortably at the farmhouse table and chairs with side bench, or at the open breakfast bar with a bird's-eye view into the pool room. And pack light, since all guests may use our onsite washer/dryer. (Note: due to food safety regulations, guests must provide their own groceries.)

The living room features a floor-to-ceiling stacked-stone gas log fireplace and a huge flat screen television with DirecTV. Have a seat on our leather armchair and ottoman, or curl up on the leather sofa. Two glass doors open up to the wraparound deck, and massive windows give you views of the woodland mountain ridges all around.

Only the best would do in our gorgeous pool room perfect for those nights with a cold beverage and a healthy dose of competitive spirit. The AMF/Brunswick solid wood claw foot table provides the finest playing experience with slate top and ultra-smooth felt. Pull up a solid wood saddle stool at the cross-through breakfast bar and watch friends play the night away.

We've equipped Willow Ridge with all of the comforts of home, and we'd like to share it with you. Spend your next vacation at Willow Ridge, and enjoy a secure, peaceful retreat that offers an escape from the day's excursions to nearby Dollywood, Ripley's Aquarium, Cades Cove, the many hiking trails of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and the arts and crafts community of Gatlinburg.

Our Honeymoon!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was absolutely beautiful! It was very clean, beautifully decorated, and was very accommodating! We spent our honeymoon here so it will definitely be a trip we will never forget! Sheri was so kind and was always prompt about answering any of your needs. We felt like it was a great getaway with lots of privacy but also just a short drive from all the pigeon forge attractions! We will definitely stay here again sometime!!

Owner's Response: Yay for honeymooning in a cabin in the woods! So glad that you chose Willow Ridge for such a special event. We're so glad you enjoyed yourself! And you were so understanding about the fact that the living room TV died halfway through your visit -- thank you for that! -- the fact that you understood that "things happen" is a strong testament to the success of your long-term marriage! :) You're welcome back anytime. Congratulations! -Sheri

This cabin was so cozy and clean. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The road getting up to the cabin is a bit steep but, not bad at all. The location was great. You have a short drive to get to all the attractions in Pidgeon Forge and Gatlinburg. The owner is very accommodating and helpful. I would recommend this cabin to anyone trying to get away. I hope to come back and stay again

Willow Ridge is an absolutely perfect place to stay when visiting the Smoky Mountains!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Willow Ridge in October of 2017. We were visiting Tennessee for the first time and found the cabin on VRBO. Renting the cabin was super easy on VRBO and Sheri was very responsive to our questions and when completing the reservation. We arrived at the cabin excited to see what it was like and the pictures do not do it justice. The cabin is just beautiful. It was just the two of us, so we enjoyed the Master Suite upstairs. It was very spacious and homey. There was so much to do in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and in the Smoky Mountains, so we didn't spend as much time at the cabin as we would have liked to, but we did enjoy using the hot tub a few nights and I used the Jacuzzi tub in the Master Suite a couple of nights. We also enjoyed playing a few games of pool while we were there. The cabin was very clean and we had no complaints. The only thing that was different than what was listed was the type of coffee filters. Cone filters were listed as what was needed, but the coffee pot actually uses regular coffee filters. There were some regular ones left there, so we were able to use those. We loved waking up to the natural light that shined in the Master Suite and then having our morning coffee on the deck outside.

Willow Ridge is about 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge, 20-25 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park, and about 30-40 minutes from Gatlinburg, depending on traffic. There is a small grocery store really near Willow Ridge and a larger grocery store (Kroger) in Pigeon Forge. The road up to Willow Ridge is a bit steep and curvy, but after the first couple times, it became much easier. It was really nice that it is located in a gated community, we felt very safe.

Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend Willow Ridge to others and hope that my husband and I are blessed with the opportunity to stay there again. Thanks so much for everything Sheri, we really loved it.

Owner's Response: Thank you, Lisa and Chris! What an amazing and thorough review. I love knowing people are happy, and i always love to know what I can do better. (Thanks for the coffee filter note -- we used to have a cone-type machine and I totally forgot that the filter replacement type was even listed on our ad! :) Glad the extras helped!) That deck is addictive at Willow, isn't it? Afternoons with wine, mornings with coffee... it's where you'll find us every time we get to visit ourselves. Come again! You're welcome anytime. :) -Sheri @ Willow Ridge

Beautiful cabin for Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family went on our first vacation as a family of four to Tennessee. We stayed a week at Sheri's beautiful cabin. It was the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. Her cabin provided the comforts of home for our young children (ages 4 and 17 months). Sheri made sure there was a pack and play and highchair in her home for our stay. We enjoyed many meals at the cabin including breakfast, grilling, and bringing takeout back to unwind from an eventful day. We highly recommend Sheri's beautiful cabin for couples or families looking to get away from busy life and wanting to unwind. We enjoyed the cabin's setting, comforts, and community pool. Thank you again for opening your home to our family Sheri! :)
