Marcia Harris purchased this House in 2006
Why Marcia Harris chose Norwalk
The house has great bones and is in a spectacular park like setting on the river. Silvermine is historic, artsy and beautiful. It is proximate to many charming towns like New Canaan, Westport, Fairfield and Ridgefield all of which have movie theaters, parks, great restaurants and musical venues. Close to The Long Island Sound which leads to the Atlantic Ocean, the beaches are plentiful and offer entertainment throughout the summer months. Beach passes are available to purchase in Norwalk, Westport and Fairfield.
What makes this House unique
This is a gracious, classic Colonial. It is private yet close to just about everything.

We rented Marcia's house for our family visiting from out of town. Her home is spectacular, beautifully decorated and has tons of space, both inside and outside (big yard). Each room is large and has its own "style".
Because it is their home (as opposed to a vacation rental), it is very well equipped and probably has all the amenities that you could need (kitchenware, dinnerware, outside grill, washer, drier, etc).
It is well located in the charming area of Silvermine, within close distance to Rowayton, New Canaan, Wilton.
There is lots to do in our area. There are live sketch classes at our local Silvermine Arts Center; beautiful walks in historic areas with stone walls and beautiful old plantings; great little charming towns nearby with shopping, restaurants and movie theaters; museums, nature centers, health clubs....all within easy reach of NYC, New Haven and Boston.
