About Scott Lawrence

I am a third generation builder of fine homes. My grandfather would have built this craftsman home and it is an honor to be the owner!

Restoring the original style while adding contemporary updates allows my guests to appreciate the history while enjoying all the conveniences of current technology in home design.

I live nearby in a 1907 craftsman home which I recently restored in the historic Leschi neighborhood of Seattle.

Scott Lawrence purchased this house in 2012

Why Scott Lawrence chose Seattle

I chose Phinney Ridge for the charming quiet neighborhood character and easy access to downtown as well as the popular well established neighborhoods just north of the city. Fremont, Green Lake, Wallingford, Ballard, Queen Anne and the University Of Washington are all close by.

Families visiting their relatives appreciate this convenience as well as visitors who wish to be close to downtown and stay in a quiet, safe location within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, and other services.

What makes this house unique

Spacious multilevel living space with great amenities the whole family can enjoy and the location!

The Woodland Park Zoo and Green Lake recreation area are two blocks away with many spring and summer activities to enjoy. Easy access to Pike Place Market, the Space Needle and Music Experience Project at Seattle Center are a short drive or bus ride away.

There is easy access to the Elliott Bay waterfront with dockside restaurants, shops, water taxi and ferry service to Puget Sound and Victoria Canada, the Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Art Museum outdoor sculpture garden, waterside trails with wonderful views of the Olympic Mountains and Alaska cruise ship terminals. The Seattle Mariners, Sounders and Seahawks sports stadiums are within walking distance of the downtown waterfront.!

If this home is booked or you need more space see my other VRBO #453411 on this property or in nearby Ravenna Park just 1 mile north of the University of Washington and 3 miles east of this home. The VRBO listing is 344506.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here with my husband, three kids, and mother for almost a week. Great location although in my opinion you definitely need a car to be able to get around the city. It was a short drive to downtown and all the other tourist sites we wanted to visit. We walked to a couple of restaurants and a playground. There were always lots of cars parked along the street, but we always found a spot close to the house (in a minivan). There are about four or five steps leading to the doors of the home, so that's something to consider if you are traveling with anyone mobility impaired. Overall it was a really nice, clean home and cost less than staying in a hotel would've been for our family. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

The house was great. It was in a great location. We found it very homey.

The only suggestion is to have a tv upstairs because my elderly mother found it difficult to get up and down the stairs.

Cozy and Comfortable. Convenient to everything.

  • 5 of 5

House welcomed me late the first night with warm lights glowing. Scott has made the details clear so you can step right in and feel at home. Had an issue with the TV remote and Scott took care of it immediately. Walking neighborhood with a wonderful market and restaurants. Highly recommend the Uneedaburger. Truly delicious and that is coming from a non burger person. House is clean and well cared for. Will be back.

Beautiful home in a great location

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed in this home for my wedding. It was incredibly clean (the best rental experience we have had), the space was exactly as pictured, and had wonderfully modern touches.

We were able to walk right to the zoo, had parking for 2 vans, and also had access to a fast bus line to downtown.

When the microwave stopped working, we let Scott know and he replaced it immediately!

The checkout procedures were so clear and helpful (though we filled the 3 recycling bins so we couldn't fully empty the recycling in the house) we appreciated that there was lots of room for compost, recycling, and trash.

Thank you for a wonderful stay! I would recommend this home to any other visitors I have!

Charming, well located character home

  • 4 of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed the well decorated comfortable home. Easy access to transit and city centre. The kitchen was nicely updated and well equipped. Beds were comfortable however the dining chairs were uncomfortable. After having paid the cleaning fee we felt having to strip the beds, remove mattress pads, and start the laundry was too much to ask. Having said that we would stay here again.

We could not have been happier with our stay in this convenient location. The house was comfortable, clean and well stocked. It fit our family of 7 adults and a baby perfectly. Our needs were met and I would surely stay there again, Thanks Scott, for a great week in your home. It helped make my sons wedding go even smoother....Kathie
