About Scott Lawrence

I am a third generation builder of fine homes. My grandfather would have built this craftsman home and it is an honor to be the owner!

Restoring the original style while adding contemporary updates allows my guests to appreciate the history while enjoying all the conveniences of current technology in home design.

I live nearby in a 1907 craftsman home which I recently restored in the historic Leschi neighborhood of Seattle.

Scott Lawrence purchased this house in 2012

Why Scott Lawrence chose Fremont

I chose Phinney Ridge for the charming quiet neighborhood character and easy access to downtown as well as the popular well established neighborhoods just north of the city. Fremont, Green Lake, Wallingford, Ballard, Queen Anne and the University Of Washington are all close by.

Families visiting their relatives appreciate this convenience as well as visitors who wish to be close to downtown and stay in a quiet, safe location within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, and other services.

What makes this house unique

Spacious multilevel living space with great amenities the whole family can enjoy and the location!

The Woodland Park Zoo and Green Lake recreation area are two blocks away with many spring and summer activities to enjoy. Easy access to Pike Place Market, the Space Needle and Music Experience Project at Seattle Center are a short drive or bus ride away.

There is easy access to the Elliott Bay waterfront with dockside restaurants, shops, water taxi and ferry service to Puget Sound and Victoria Canada, the Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Art Museum outdoor sculpture garden, waterside trails with wonderful views of the Olympic Mountains and Alaska cruise ship terminals. The Seattle Mariners, Sounders and Seahawks sports stadiums are within walking distance of the downtown waterfront.!

If this home is booked or you need more space see my other VRBO #453411 on this property or in nearby Ravenna Park just 1 mile north of the University of Washington and 3 miles east of this home. The VRBO listing is 344506.

Outstanding Home and Location

  • 5 of 5

I shared this home for a weekend with 5 other women with the goal to relax and catch up. Mission accomplished! The home was easy to locate, had plenty of parking, is beautifully maintained and very clean. Beds and bedding are as advertised- comfortable and high end. The kitchen is well appointed and spacious. We easily walked to Fremont on a beautiful sunny day and found many restaurants within walking distance. The TV area downstairs is large and comfortable and we found the remotes and technology easy to use (not always the case in rental homes). All correspondence with the owner was easy and all messages quickly returned. There is a strict no shoe rule in the home which is understandable as the wood floors appear to be original to the home and the home is kept immaculately clean. There is a nice large dining table adjacent to the kitchen which was perfect for our meals. We were pleased with how quiet the home was- no road noise that we could hear at all. It was a great weekend! One warning- the carpeted stairs leading to the basement are steep and not for mobility impaired or very young children. Although there is a hand rail and also a door that can be closed so little ones don't wander that way (and enough sleeping areas upstairs to not have to do the stairs unless needed). I would highly recommend this house to any group wanting to stay in the greater Wallingford/Ballard/Fremont area!

Great location and comfortable home!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious and comfortable home. We were there over the Christmas holidays and the house was perfect for our small family gatherings. A big highlight of our stay was walking a few short blocks to the Rose Garden and then further on to Green Lake in the SNOW on Christmas day. We also enjoyed walking to the local market and restaurants, and the easy drives to downtown and visiting relatives. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Seattle. After all of that snow, we would really enjoy a future visit to this area in the spring or summer months.

Loved the nice and quiet location with close by grocery store. The house was also great with comfortable living room and great sleeping quarters. The use of the kitchen was also really nice too. We all had an amazing time at this residence and would highly recommend it.

Wonderfully comfortable home in quiet neighborhood. Easy access to downtown and great neighborhoods

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay with family and friends. Nice amount of living space (there were 5 of us), well stocked kitchen so it was easy to make some meals in the house. We enjoyed a walk around Green Lake, many trips to downtown, a college visit to UW, Thanksgiving with friends in Wallingford and Ballard. Very central location!

Terrific Home

  • 5 of 5

This home is wonderful. It is exceptionally clean, very roomy and very convenient. Whereas a car may be recommended it is not necessary. You are within blocks of Woodland Zoo (fantastic) and Green Lake. You are an easy bus ride to Seattle Center and Downtown. We slept seven with our 4 year old grandson getting the sleeper sofa downstairs. He loved that he had his own room, bed and TV (although it was never turned on). There is a market within walking distance and of course a coffee shop. Beautiful neighborhood particularly in the Fall. We highly recommend this property. Thank you for sharing it.
