About Randall W
Our lovely home is in a beautifully maintained residential area with wonderful neighbors. The peace and quiet are so restful and the private backyard patio is perfect for gatherings. We look forward to the day we can retire full time here. Everything is so close to the condo including grocery stores, restaurants, Starbucks, antiques, downtown and extraordinary beach areas. We couldn't be happier with our ideal location.
Randall W purchased this Condo in 2016
Why Randall W chose Huntington Harbour
Furnishings in the home are a tasteful mix of contemporary styles and original art, some of which has been passed down through the generations. There has been a COMPLETE REMODEL and refurbishment of our home in 2016. ALL NEW APPLIANCES, new kitchen and bath cabinets with quartz counters and backsplash, rev a shelf organizers, new kitchen and bath tile, two, stone mosaic, gas fireplaces with glass crystal interiors, new windows and sliding glass doors, Sony Smart TV, Additional large, flat-screen TV, contemporary furnishings, new memory foam beds, TEAK patio, Marble Fountain, garage cabinets and more. There are many details in the decor which add to the special ambiance. You will love the comfort and attractive living spaces throughout the house, and will feel immediately at home. The kitchen is stocked with high quality dishware, flatware, glassware, barware, ample condiments and spices, every pot, pan, coffee maker, electric fondue, crockpot, and other kitchen device imaginable. Also available are several boogie boards, beach towels, noodles, beach mats, beach umbrellas, beach toys, ice chests, coolers, tennis rackets, football, soccer ball and three adult bicycles for your use and enjoyment.
What makes this Condo unique
We love the ocean breezes and quiet surroundings of the neighborhood. The ample 2016 new TEAK furnishings on our patio with beautiful stacked stone tropical planters and marble fountain provide a suitable counterpoint to the efficient, stainless steel Weber Genesis gas grill and two electric outdoor heaters (for chilly evenings). From this area it is just a hop, skip and jump to the community swimming pool, spa, clubhouse and tennis courts. Many indoor and outdoor games are available at our home, including table top pool, foosball, hockey, croquet and bocce. Fishing, paddle-boarding, kayaking and boating are popular in Huntington Harbour, which can be viewed from our balcony. Each of the three bedrooms has its own unique bathroom with new cabinetry and tiling. Giant flatscreen televisions grace the walls and two beautifully remodeled stone mosaic fireplaces with glass crystals complement the contemporary decor. The private two (small-to-medium) car garage parking also has three adult bicycles exclusively for the use of our guests. Cycle, walk or drive to the Bolsa Chica Wetlands and Huntington State Beach at Surf City USA. Our homeowners association and neighbors are the best.
Canceled bookings will not receive a refund
The condo was well maintained and pleasant. There are a lot of stairs. Randall was quick to respond to any issues that arose. Television reception was spotty and the wifi system slow, but other than that, no issues at all.
We appreciate your comments on your stay at our beach home. Thank you for noticing that we respond quickly to any issues. It is our aim to make our home as comfortable and worry-free as possible for our guests. We do wish that there had been some mention of spotty television reception and slowness of the WIFI system while you were in residence so we could have checked the system and made any necessary changes at that time. We always endeavor to keep on top of any maintenance or repair issues. Since the WIFI modem/router is relatively new, it should be working fine. Now that we know there may be an issue, we will get right on it. Thank you again for the review.
Do not recommend this place.
It was not a good experience overall. Very noisy if you’re looking for a peaceful experience I don’t recommend this place. There is also something wrong with the hvac. Some rooms are cold while others are hot. This place also has electrical problems, when you turn on the kitchen light the TV malfunctions. There are parking issues and there was major construction very near by that drastically effects commuters.
I could go on and on but hopefully I’ve said enough.
It is quite unusual to receive a negative evaluation when renters have asked to extend their stay and were allowed to do so for a total of two months. In fact, near the end of that two month period, there was another request to extend the stay for an additional month. Despite several encouragements from the owner during the stay to "let us know if there are any concerns or complaints," there was never any mention of any of the items in the negative review. Our home is indeed peaceful and comfortable. If one turns the thermostat on the air conditioning down to a low level, one can expect that it will be much cooler and that sunny areas will be slightly warmer (unless one closes the shades or shutters). While these tenants were present, the electricity bills were far higher than normal. We have not been able to duplicate the alleged electrical issue. Perhaps the TV reception was not as crisp as expected, but that does not relate to kitchen lights. As noted on the listing and in the rental agreement, there are two private garage spaces available for parking, directly under our home. Additional parking is located nearby on the public street. With respect to the bridge being rebuilt by Orange County, this is an improvement over which we have no control, nor did we receive any notice of implementation. Indeed there is a three minute delay coming and going that is indicated on the traffic control signs. Three minutes is a small price to pay for this wonderful improvement (which should be completed shortly). Notice of same is provided to all guests in advance. Discounts are applied accordingly (as were done with this guest). Unfortunately, there was additional special cleaning which was required after this guest's stay.
Well-furnished and very clean
This condo is located in a quiet neighborhood with nicely landscaped grounds and well-maintained heated pool and hot tub. We enjoyed many of the amenities available to us. Randall was very responsive to our needs when issues arose with the Roku and garage door and made sure they were resolved as soon as possible. It is necessary to have a car or bicycle to access the beach, restaurants or shopping since there is no direct vehicle or pedestrian access even though everything is very close as the crow flies. As an older couple, we had some problems with all the stairs--entrance to the condo is up one flight and the kitchen/great room are on the top level which required more up and down than we are used to especially with luggage and groceries. For guests with more mobility this should not be a problem.
This condo was close to family we visit in the area so we did enjoy our stay. Thanks to Randall and Betsy for their hospitality!
We thank you for providing information to other guests about our home in the Huntington Harbour. We note that there are a few other amenities onsite, like the tennis courts and adjacent Seabridge Park, which provides water access for kayaks, boats, rafts and paddleboarding. We have three bicycles available for the use of our guests. The quiet neighborhood is a trade off as opposed to immediate access to Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), but it is rather close by car or bicycle. And our medical professionals have always said that we have to keep moving to stay fit--especially with some built in stairs...
For those who wish, there is access on the ground level to the outdoor TEAK living room, with Weber stainless grill, fountain and stone planters. All of this is adjacent to the patio ensuite bedroom and our private laundry room.
privacy, patios and perfection
Wonderful place; bedrooms all on separate levels so private and quiet; fully equipped kitchen; nice community pool and jacuzzi just steps away; two perfect patios, easy to work with the owner, bbq on back patio with nice sitting areas, Really loved it
This condo is so relaxing and quiet with mid century modern tones in its decor. Everything I needed was there, including hair dryer, pots, pans plates, luxurious towels and sheets. The location is ideal as you are moments from the water by foot and a great place to walk and see the sights. The private patio and different levels in the home were a great way to find even more peace and quiet. Beds were very comfortable. The location was great as it is close to everything (although not walking distance close, but you expect that in SoCal...). I would go back again and will recommend to my friends!
It is our goal to make our home as user-friendly as possible, with entertainment options like games, movies, music and gourmet cooking inside as well as water sports, tennis, swimming, walking and fishing outdoors. We hope that you enjoyed the outdoor patio with TEAK living room, tropical plantings, soothing fountain and Weber Genesis Grill as much as we do. As you pointed out, we have found the best linens for beds and luxurious spa towels for the bathrooms. I am sure that you also noticed the closet full of beach towels just for your use, along with all of those boogie boards, water noodles, bicycles with helmets and outdoor games like bocce, soccer, football and croquet. Since the swimming pool, spa and tennis courts are just a short distance from our private umbrella-covered patio, it is quite easy to enjoy those amenities. As you also suggested, we are Freeway close to most of the Entertainment Capital in SURF CITY USA. Come, join Kelly Slater in the surf. Or enjoy nearby sporting events like horseracing, Long Beach Grand Prix, Professional baseball, hockey, basketball, soccer in season and/or all of those fun amusement parks, beaches, parks, wildlife preserves and fisheries nearby. Whale and dolphin watching are two of our favorite activities...Do it all or just relax...
Comfortable, Clean, Great Location
Can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay here in January 2017. Recently remodeled and everything is new. Beautifully appointed with contemporary furnishings and very clean. All three bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with memory foam beds. We enjoyed a gourmet dinner made in the very well equipped kitchen that has everything you could possibly need. Only a short drive to Pacific City and Fashion Island for great outdoor shopping and dining.
We are gratified to hear that you enjoyed your stay at our home away from home. As you know, our home is close to stores, restaurants and the beach. With Seabridge Park just meters from our door, water access for kayaking, paddleboarding, boating, fishing and other water sports is simple and easy. Sunrise and sunsets over the water are spectacular. Proximity to all the wonderful attractions and activities in Orange County and LA makes staying here an excellent opportunity to enjoy it all. Next time perhaps the theater or a concert or museum or a sporting event or auto race? Or even an amusement park?
