600 interior Sq. Ft. / Beautiful beach bungalow. 60 Sq. Ft private ocean view sun deck.

This home exemplifies a warm, inviting beach bungalow feel with all the amenities. It sleeps two people comfortably though four as in two parents and their two small children do occasionally inhabit our bungalow. TWO COUPLES ARE NOT IDEAL.

The custom detailed built-ins, fireplace, kitchen, bathroom, internet and sun deck that you can see the beach make it an ideal get-a-way. Listen to the waves as they soothe you to sleep, cuddle in front of the fire place with a great book, ride bikes along the shoreline through Venice beach. The path goes all the way past Santa Monica pier to Palasades or south to Manhattan beach. Walk to a variety of delicious restaurants and shopping. Enjoy a full pressure hot shower after a good ocean swim, surf or beach run. Two lovely beach bicycle cruisers, soft surf board and boogie boards come with the unit. Indulge!!!

The bungalow doesn't need A/C. Catamaran Street, one of the widest streets on the peninsula has massive width due to partial street parking and access to parking garage. These two factors contribute greatly the the ocean breeze that continually flows from the beach through our homes.

We enjoy leaving front livingroom sliding glass door open and occasionally the fans to

flow air constantly through on hottest days.

This is a superb location nestled along the beach amongst all the necessities one could desire. Peaceful, yet a frisbee toss to restaurant row, Venice Beach and the City of Angels.

Lovely stay in Marina Del Rey

This place was perfect. We stayed for 2 weeks. A nice breeze comes through the patio door which does sometimes come off track. The fan circulated great if you pull up the curtains that divide the room. Everything you need for a stay is in the kitchen, we even cooked a full dinner for a friend. There are 3 smaller markets near by and a store not far. The cow's End has great coffee. The place is at the quiet end of the beach which was really nice. Garage is tight. No issues when parked outside. More than adequate towels and bedding available. Very comfortable sleeping. Will definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anybody going to this location. Thank you for the easy rental and cute and very clean place. The cleaning lady was so sweet. She wasn't done cleaning when we arrived but was so sweet and we patiently waited along the beach. Very quiet area and really safe. We were two single females and felt very safe. Thanks Thyme for making my first rental experience a great one.

Disappointing for the price

PROS:: The location and parking of unit are excellent. Access to beach perfect.

CONS:."White" sofa unsightly and so dirty/soiled we could not sit on it. The kitchen does not have a "real" working stove/oven. It's a small boxed contraption that could not cook the breakfast food we purchased. There are 5 plugs in one socket with inadequate "juice". Could not even make toast!! Had to eat out..Planned to bring food to son's house next day-- frig went out and all our food spoiled!! Contacted owner who never replied!! Carried 2 provided folded beach chairs to beach to discover one was completely broken.😩� There is one fan in unit and only sliding doors in front of unit allowing for no cross ventilation to reach back bedroom. Got extremely warm in back. (Sliding doors always came off track.) Bedroom space very tight for 2. We were also disappointed to find no provided soap or shampoo to shower with upon arriving.. Most disappointing was the fact that during and after the owner of unit has not communicated with us!! We feel that this unit was expensive and therefore our higher expectations are not out of line...We have rented with HomeAway before and this is the first time we have been disappointed!

Excellent location

For the vacationer, the worst possible thing is turning up after 000's of miles to find the key hasn't been left under the mat; and for the owner, hearing that the cleaner hasn't left the key under the mat and then trying to sort it out from a distant state. It was not an auspicious start, especially when we found the first twenty hotels we tried were booked, but Thyme made a generous financial gesture and we were in the property by lunchtime the next day. Excellent location - virtually on the beach, and comfortable enough.
