Yacht rentals are available on location. Consisting of two adjoining hotel rooms, four beds and two baths. An active restaurant and waterfront Tiki Bar right at the resort. Fun times

We like this place a lot because we can dock our boat at sea wall, we can swim in pool and there is a tiki bar and restaurant that has excellent food. The hotel is starting to update the exterior and all staff we have encountered have been really nice and helpful.

No problems, comfortable, economical

All good things to say about our stay. Everything was ready for us, rooms were clean and tidy. Pool was great. Bummed that the restaurant and Tiki bar were under renovation but it didn’t affect our trip at all. Would definitely go back! Thank you!

Repeat Guest, honest and disappointing review

We were excited to return back to Sarasota and this VRBO! HOWEVER- We were SO disappointed in the property’s amenities. The tiki bar was abandoned and empty, the restaurant and facilities all closed, and the optional breakfast wasn’t even open half the time. LUCKILY the pool was open but there is a lot of work that needs to be done around it. I feel like the allure of us staying here was the awesome atmosphere of the property’s amenities- bar and outdoor eating waterfront and ended up feeling like the whole property was a let down. The rooms were spacious and great for a family BUT the rooms smelled horrible of mildew/musty. Unfortunately, we may find another place to stay next time we visit Sarasota.

Owner's Response: The hotel is undergoing a complete renovation during the slow season, and should be completed soon, including a new restaurant and tiki bar area. There is another tiki bar across the street, and many good restaurants close by, including Crager's Restaurant within walking distance next door, much better than the hotel's breakfast. The rooms were vacant for a while before you arrived, and the AC should have cleared it up. Housekeeping has deep cleaned the rooms, and are nice smelling again. Please visit us again for a better experieced

Enjoyed our time in Sarasota

My family of 7 stayed in these which we loved the adjoining doors. We made do with the small fridge etc. The beds were comfortable. Bathrooms super small but again...not a deal breaker. The furniture wasnt bad but there was a chair with a broken leg. No biggie. The real problem is the carpet. Needs a serious cleaning. We enjoyed the pool, the view is exactly as described...beautiful. the day shift staff were rude but the 2nd shift was wonderful! Paul is outstanding!! It looks like they are doing an overhaul on the property. Would i stay again? If in a pinch. Again we had no real issues. Thank you.

Convenient

Chose this for location and price. Location is excellent as it is near the attractions in Sarasota and Bradenton. The price was also attractive as most VRBO offerings in the area are much pricier. We had two couples so needed the two bedrooms. In reality this is two motel rooms with connecting doors in a Ramada facility. It seems this was once a condo facility and the owner must have bought in to it and refused to sell out to Ramada. That being said, the rooms are on the ground floor and face the marina to which the facility is attached - which would seem to be preferable to the rooms on the other side of the building which face a busy street. The furniture is a bit dated and the beds are a bit soft (worked for me, but better half prefers a firm mattress). For a $5/per person fee, you can take the breakfast offered by the Ramada, but it wasn't to my liking. Have seen better offerings at other motels. However, there is a diner next door which offers a full breakfast menu, albeit at more than $5. All in all, I would consider this rental for a short stay (weekend) in the area, but would opt for other digs for a long term stay.

Hotel Dump

Very disappointing accommodations! Room was missing light bulbs in both the living area and the bathroom. There were NUMEROUS dead bugs inside the picture frame above one bed. We had to ask for a clean pillowcase for one of the pillows. The rooms themselves were old, worn and cramped. Yes, they had a microwave and frig, but no sink, dishes, silverware or any kind of cups as one would expect in a "condominium" hotel. The hotel was dark, old, and needed paint and carpet. The only thing that was as advertised was the beautiful view out of the back sliding door...that would barely open. When our family pulled up and saw the hotel bar was called the Bearded Clam.....we knew we were probably in trouble. NOT a vacation paradise!
