This is a spacy traditional, fully equipped, greek house, the central villa of the estate facing the sea, almost on the beach. Highly recommended for families with small children. It is approximately 110 sq.meters with 2 bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with two separate beds, both built in the structure of the house) and it has spacy ground verandas with splendid view of both the sea and the mountain, facing north and south, fully equipped with central heating and air-conditions. The estate is comprised by other traditional houses belonging to the land owners family, scattered throughout the private area, with a variety of animals (chickens, rabbits, peacocks, ponies and dears), which makes it an ideal place for animal lovers and children. It is guarded by a small herd of dogs and a family that resides permanently in the estate, managing it. The villa is surrounded by a bbq area with a traditional greek oven. The estate produces a variety of local traditional products, including its own wine, olive oil, olives, jams and chicken eggs, items that would be available to the guests, depending on the time of the visit.
The apartment has free internet access, Wi-Fi and a local TV network (no satellite connection).
This apartment is ideal for a family with 2-3 children or 4 adults.
Thermopylae's hot springs
The baths of Thermopylae are located approximately 45km north of the Estate, along the highway, before the city of Lamia. The area is known for the battle of Thermopylae between the Greeks and Persians in 480 b.C. Next to the road is a statue of Leonidas and the sacred hill, where Leonidas, the king of Sparta died fighting together with his 300 prominent Spartan citizens taking together down and 700 Thespians, who had volunteered to stay with him until the end, in order to fight the Persians. In mythology, Hephaestus, at the request of the goddess Athena, created these sources, so that Hercules could wash his wounds and recover his forces after battling with his enemies.
The water temperature of the springs is 40oC all around the year and has therapeutic attributes for several diseases, due to its consistency of sulfur (i.e. treatment of rheumatic, gynecological diseases and peripheral nerves). That's why, when you first arrive in the area, near the springs, you have a strange smell from the odor of sulfur, which subsequently subside as you get used to it. The water is quite hot, so, it is an experience that you can fully enjoy only during winter. It's a unique experience for deep relaxation!!! The combination of hot water and the ingredients of sulfur don't allow one to stay inside the river more than 15-20 minutes. There are no facilities near the hot springs. t's all in nature and it is definitely worth trying it!

Staying in the country house is like staying in a garden Eden.
We arrived there after 3 days of sightseeing in Athens, and it was such a contrast: the fresh air, the cool water, the trees full of olives and lemons, the peace and quiet...
We spent the whole first day just relaxing, exploring the property and meeting the horses, peacocks, chickens and rabbits.
Dimitis is a wonderful host and the country home truly feels like a home! It is wonderfully decorated, everything you could possibly need is there, the kitchen is very well equipped.
We loved our stay (we stayed 4 nights), and are considering returing because it was so beautiful.
Delphi is an easy 1 1/2 hour trip away, and even the cloisters of Meteora are doable (3 hour drive though). We enjoyed seeing the monument to Leonidas at Thermopylae, and bathed in the hot springs. It looks like a good hiking area as well.
Thank you so much Dimitris for the wonderful time we had at your beautiful county home!
